Delphin Imperial Honest Review

Delphin Imperial Honest Review

Arrived on the 8th September for our honeymoon. We got greeted with a glass of champagne. We got asked if we wanted to upgrade our room for half price so we paid £500 extra for a lagoon room with private pool. Upon arrival we was very happy. The room was spotless as was the hotel from what we had seen so far.
Following day we went out for a wander and upon returning out doors to the pool area was left open by the housekeeping staff. When they say private pool it’s shared with the guests of the other 20 lagoon rooms so not completely private, no children under the age of 7 either (children being around doesn’t bother me at all). The mattress to the sun lounger was half hanging off the bed and it wasn’t windy at all. On the dresser we had 2 bottles of expensive aftershave and 1 bottle of perfume also expensive that we got at the airport upon leaving the uk. The bottle of perfume had gone out of the box so someone had been in our room. you can also access these rooms by a gap and gate along the main pool edge. We immediately reported to guest relations who did a lot to try to resolve the matter. We had a meeting with the manager who offered us late check out today 19th September and also a special table at one of the a la carte restaurants (which we could have had free anyway). They said they was going to look at cctv and look into the perfume. This has taken them the whole holiday. On our last night we came back to a letter asking us to go to reception to which I did to be told that the room had been booked and to have late check out we needed to move rooms. This to me is a complete waste of our time as we would have to pack everything to move plus means they now have an extra room to clean. When we spoke to the female assistant manager at reception about what had happened before we went to guest relations she literally laughed and basically said oh well. Her attitude is disgusting. Fast forward to today we receive a phone call in the room phone to say they had cancelled out late check out altogether and to be out by 12pm. We said we was coming up to reception to complain and talk to a manager to which the reply was if you do that you will be barred from all delphin hotels!!!!
The hotel does not seem to like English guests it’s not catered at all for English guests. It felt like we get looked down upon and on talking to others they feel the same. I would definitely not come back here at all.

The waiting staff and animation team are absolutely fantastic and really make your holiday but as for everything else it’s not worth the money in my opinion at all. The hotel is clean, fresh food all the time and there is definitely plenty of it. I would say in the main restaurant it might be and idea to have all cuisines grouped together as it seems to be scattered about. I have been to other 5 star hotels along here and they are far better than this one and cost much less.

To say our honeymoon was ruined would be an understatement.
