Massive disappointment – Lukewarm milky coffee for a premium price

I bought this machine expecting a premium upgrade, but it is a major disappointment. I previously owned a £300 manual De'Longhi machine for years and made excellent, piping hot coffee. Despite the PrimaDonna Soul retailing at £1,400, the quality simply does not compare.
If you like black coffee it is acceptable, but if you love hot, milky drinks like lattes or cappuccinos, avoid this machine. After doing lots of research online, I discovered that while you can alter the coffee and water temperature, there is absolutely no setting to change the milk temperature. Given that the majority of a milky drink is milk, this is a massive design failure by De'Longhi. Whoever designed this machine must have been a black coffee drinker!
Even with all available temperature settings turned to the absolute maximum, the drinks still come out lukewarm. Having to manually heat up milk on the side or add boiled water just to make a drink hot is completely unacceptable for a machine of this cost. I am highly unsatisfied and do not recommend it at all.

Dear Nasser,
We appreciate you sharing your detailed feedback regarding your experience with the Primadonna Soul. We understand your disappointment with the milk temperature for lattes and cappuccinos, especially given your previous experience I wanted to advise that for milk preparation the end temperature is super important, when milk exceeds 70 degrees the fat it contains begins to separate and this leads to a loss of texture. There are some great hints and tips for hotter coffee that can be found on page 11 of your instruction manual.

★☆☆☆☆ DeLonghi Elata yuck..

★☆☆☆☆

My experience with De'Longhi has convinced me that I will not purchase another one of their products.

I own an Eletta Explore, a premium bean-to-cup machine that produces very good coffee when functioning correctly. Unfortunately, once a fault developed in the coffee circuit, I discovered how difficult the machine is to diagnose and repair.

I am not complaining because a machine failed. Mechanical and electrical products fail. What I object to is the apparent lack of consideration for serviceability and owner maintenance.

The machine handles coffee oils, fine coffee particles, water, steam, and scale every single day. Yet gaining access to the components most likely to require inspection or cleaning involves removing multiple covers, dealing with security screws, and navigating a design that appears intended to discourage owner repairs.

As I worked through the fault, I found myself repeatedly asking why routine maintenance and troubleshooting had been made so difficult. There is a significant difference between designing a product for safety and designing one that is unnecessarily inaccessible.

Manufacturers often talk about sustainability, reducing waste, and extending product life. In practice, products should be designed so competent owners can inspect, clean, and repair common failure points without feeling like they are dismantling a commercial espresso machine.

The most disappointing part is that the machine itself demonstrates excellent engineering in many respects. The coffee quality is excellent and the feature set is impressive. Unfortunately, the poor repairability undermines the overall ownership experience.

For a premium appliance, I expected better. Until De'Longhi takes repairability and customer serviceability more seriously, I will spend my money elsewhere.

We spend a week most springtimes in a hire cottage in Wales that has 2 De'Longhi 1.5W oil electric heaters and I was most impressed with the output and quality of these heaters. I saw your offer of identical heaters and decided to purchase one which we sometimes use in the living room on cool summer and autumn evenings to take the chill off the room. We haven't been disappointed and are very pleased with it. Highly recommended. Excellently packed and delivered by your courier.

My DeLonghi Nespresso EN510.W…

My DeLonghi Nespresso EN510.W Lattissima One Coffee Machine with Milk Frothing bought via Amazon is less than 1 year old. It is now kaput. I have the warranty number YET despite returning for repair via Amazon I have been told they are returning it and can't repair it. I talked to Nespresso and Amazon who said it is DeLonghi's issue, where can i get my money back via the warranty or is this just lip service, NEVER EVER should a piece of technology stop working within a year, hopeless , all descaling has been done throughout that year. Let me know at my email on how I can return this to you for a refund, thanks. I have the Amazon order Order No. 026-4835908-6543567 8/7/25

Hugely disappointed long standing customer!

I am currently in conversation with the Which Legal Consumer team to understand my rights to a replacement coffee machine. I only purchased in March and it is about to be picked up by you for a third time! It is not working and to add insult to injury your chosen Repairer’binned’ all my beautiful DeLonghi original packaging!! Hence, I want proper packaging back and as I understand it, as they have destroyed, this will mean a new machine. We are still in dialogue about that and the non working machine we are arranging to pick up.
I have 2 Old Prima Donna S machines and they are still in original packaging. Which will help if I ever choose to sell.

Regretfully purchased a Magnifica Evo Espresso Machine…

I purchased a Magnifica Evo Espresso Machine with Frother. It worked absolutely fantastic for about 45 days. After that, you could tell there was something off with the taste- almost like a "burnt" taste to coffee drinks. Shortly after that, the frother quit working. Without going in-depth about their customer-service experience, it is simply is a broken system. After weeks, I am finally being offered a chance to get it repaired. That will be another 3 weeks without the machine. I am very detailed when it comes to cleaning the machine & even provided images for their team. Buy the Philips 4 or 5 thousand series. Don't try to save a few bucks by going with this company. Even for home use- it's been a bad experience.

I’ve bought the air conditioner

I’ve bought the air conditioner, but I could not get it because delivery companies in Denmark refuse to deliver it to me because it was too heavy, even though delivery was paid directly to my apartment. I suppose it must be a great on the beginning between the seller and delivery, show customer do not have any problem like that🤷🏻‍♂️
