DEFA's Programable Control Unit terribly destroy this product

I’ve been using the DEFA WarmUp system for about three years, and the core components have performed reliably. The heating system itself works well and has been consistent through Winnipeg winters. It should have an exceptional good rating. However, the programmable control unit has been a real letdown. I expected it to be the “icing on the cake,” but its Bluetooth-only design is extremely limiting. In most cases, if you’re more than about 20 feet away from the vehicle, the connection fails and the app becomes unusable.
To truly improve the user experience, DEFA should consider upgrading the control unit to a Wi‑Fi–enabled system. Being able to check status or activate/deactivate the warm-up from anywhere—not just within Bluetooth range—would make this product far more convenient and worthy of its otherwise solid performance.
