Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 425 reviews, most reviewers had an average experience overall. Customers frequently highlight the positive interactions they have with staff members, finding agents to be professional, empathetic, and understanding when dealing with their situations. Reviewers often felt listened to and appreciated the helpfulness in resolving their issues, sometimes leading to reduced charges or cancelled fines. This personal approach made stressful situations much easier for consumers. However, some customers also noted significant issues with the payment process, including difficulties disputing charges or feeling pressured to pay inflated amounts. Many people experienced poor communication, such as being hung up on during calls, having emails ignored, or not receiving promised callbacks. A few reviewers also found customer service to be dismissive or unhelpful, sometimes requiring multiple attempts to get their concerns addressed.

Excellent Customer Service and Quick Resolution

I received a letter regarding an outstanding parking charge. After resolving the matter directly with the company that issued the charge, I contacted Debt Recovery Plus to ensure they had received confirmation and that my case would be closed.

The representative who handled my call, Jade, was professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. She confirmed that the case had been closed in less than a day and followed up by email as promised.

I was very pleased with the efficiency of the process and the speed with which the matter was resolved. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service I received.

Debt Recovery Plus didn't do anything wrong but also didn't/couldn't help me get it cancelled. They was instructed by a terrible car parking company to collect a fine that was sent to me In error and I have had many stressful months trying to get them to cancel it as I had lots of proof, which I finally managed.

Tim gave me the details I needed and reassured me that I had time to send him the information he needed.

He also extended the time I was allocated and replied immediately once it had been provided and the case was closed.

Cancelling an erroneous parking fine

On both occasions I have contacted Debt Recovery Plus regarding an erroneous parking fine they staff were polite and efficient. Unfortunately the parking company did not inform them that the fine had been rescinded but DRP cancelled their charge without delay once they were informed. Only negative was the wait in the queue for a connection to a member of staff.

Fantastic customer service

The ease of getting through to an advisor was refreshing. The advisor I spoke with was friendly and polite whilst maintaining a professional air. I have extremely high anxiety and he put me at ease very quickly. All of my queries were dealt with swiftly and I can honestly say he made a difficult call extremely easy and I was extremely satisfied/happy with the customer service provided.

I am absolutely delighted and impressed with the help and service I received with the customer negotiator. In this instance I really feel it necessary to mention the individual in question. Mike was very helpful and accommodating. His telephone manner was really great. I also wish to give a shout out to, to Samantha, his manager, as clearly her type of managing her team is very good. Many thanks to Mike and Samantha

Firstly any ethical company would…

Firstly any ethical company would refuse to work with the complete scam artists that are Premier Parking Ltd,

Secondly, I wrote to them to appeal and asked if the debt would die with me because the injustice of being fined for a ticket i had paid and had tried to inform them of their machine error and then also tried to pay the fine but the payment issues were ridiculous and another level of scam. I was driven to the decision that suicide was the answer. So i explained this to DRP and simply asked if the debt would die with me or they would hound my family too.
they didn't ever reply.
i paid the debt but obviously now cant eat or pay bills and feel there is only one way out.
i have always treated people with kindness these people should be totally ashamed.

There is some sort of racket going on…

There is some sort of racket going on here with APCOA and Debt Recovery Plus. The latter are polite when contacted, although one female employee gave poor advice and suggested rather than resolve the PCN to fight this in Court.
APCOA and Debt Recovery Plus seem one and the same. Debt Recovery Plus claim that APCOA had sent me notifications of a PCN and that I had ignored these, hence outside of the appeals process, and their involvement requesting £140. I asked for copies of these notifications and received no reply.
In effect, fraudulent activity and should be reported to British Parking Association for investigation.
