Very unreasonable and continual harassment
I paid for my parking ticket at Citi park in good faith. Unfortunately, I had only realised that I selected the wrong car park until after I received a parking fine. I appealed this fine as it was a genuine human error , with no intention to avoid paying, there was also no financial loss as it is the same parking company. They declined my appeal and I have been continually harassed with phone calls and threatening letters. Absolutely disgusting , I will not be paying the £170 fine and I plan to take this further if it is not cancelled. I have emailed them on multiple occasions to respectfully review my case to which I am ignored. This demonstrates an unreasonable and unfairness as there is no financial loss.

This company appears to be a scam
I strongly warn everyone to be very careful when dealing with DCL.
In my experience, this company presents itself as a big and professional company in the UK, but once you pay the money, the money is gone from your account and that’s it. No proper action. No proper update. No clear communication. Nothing.
After I paid them, I received no meaningful progress or transparency. I kept asking for updates, but there was no clear response and no real evidence that any serious work was being done.
What is even more concerning is that they told me the shop was closed and inactive. However, from what I have seen, the shop is still active. This contradiction raises serious concerns about honesty and professionalism.
I paid for a service in good faith, expecting proper legal or recovery action. Instead, I was left with frustration, confusion, and no results.
In my personal experience, once DCL receives your payment, communication becomes very weak and accountability disappears. I feel completely misled.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend DCL to anyone. Please think very carefully before sending them any money.

Absolutely fabulous service to recover…
Absolutely fabulous service to recover monies owed in a long term debt by Moseley Rugby Club. Highly professional and made the process simple and efficient, from the High Court Writ to the recovery of the money due - even with the reluctance to pay.
A long and very tiresome process to recover this money was made much more straightforward. Great communication from Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd kept me informed all the way through to completion. We had judgement against the club for non-payment, but taking the next steps was made much easier for our company. Hopefully we never have to deal with such a difficult client in the future, but if we do ... we know who to call on.

DCBL Success after 15 Months
In August 23 a private buyer of my Steam Locomotives failed to honour full payment with a shortfall of £10k. Having struggled for a year trying to get payment I employed DCBL in September 24 rather than attempt the courts system on my own. The initial cost for employing DCBL was £1740 and when the defendant dodged and weaved to the extent that DCBL could not succeed, I paid a further fee to take the matter to court where DCBL lawyers succeeded in a court award of £14032. This included notional bank intertest and partial fee recovery. To obtain an enforcement writ cost a further £80. The issue of this writ and DCBL representation secured a payment from the defendant which after DCBL success fee I received £14376. So, happily I recovered most of my outlay, interest and the £10k originally owed. Throughout the process over 15 months DCBL were progressive and persistent, my only frustration was the lack of regular updates. It took them 3 weeks to tell me they had succeeded in negotiating the recovery and money would be in the bank next day. The whole activity was worthwhile, and I am a happy bunny.

I have now reported DBCL to the police…
I have now reported DBCL to the police and my local MP. Surprisingly the police are very happy and Keen to look into the harrasment and bullying tactics of DBCL. They have been harrasing and bullying me over a parking ticket that I paid for at the time of my parking. I have evidenced proof of payment with bank statement and mobile app notification of payment yet they still insist I owe them £170. When I ask them for what? as the ticket was paid for they have no legal recourse as the alleged 'non-payment of the parking ticket' does not exist.....? so therefore what debt are they chasing.......? legally.
I would encourage all to report DCBL to the police. Your complaint will be investigated.

DCBL Devious
How can 10 minutes car park stay cost £170? Because (DCBL) Dangerous, Cunning, Bully. Legals( DCBL). This is who they are. No camera evidence. Tickets from clients are not even sent first it's just straight to these rebels. When are the regulators going to clamp down on these rogues.(DCBL) and chase these crazy bald heads out of our towns.😊

Shocking
I received a letter on 5th February 2026 from this company saying it is my final chance to pay a £140 fine for staying in a Sainsburys car park for too long in 2023. I had categorically never received any communication from any party regarding this matter until the 5th. I called their office and was told all letters prior to this one had been sent to my old address, which I moved from 3 years ago and updated my logbook as soon as I moved to my new address. They had been sending the letters to my old address and now I am being penalised for their incompetence? If the letters had been sent to my correct address, I would have paid this straight away. I was told I am no longer able to dispute this, but I was never given the opportunity to begin with! I was met with no understanding, the operative was cold and dismissive. Absolutely ridiculous.

Parking Fine
Got a 14 days notice for a parking fine at a hotel through Parkmaven. i picked up my disabled father who was a guest at the hotel. Demanding payment or threats of county court. After on.hold for 45 minutes to these criminals telling them the hotel has contacted Parkmaven parking fine company to cancel the fine, they basically said we will take you to court for sure. So even if your in the right, they still threaten you! Absolutel scammers!

Cowboys who should be investigated
Force you into a payment plan with false legal advice. Ignore a disabled persons right of advocacy. Payment plan under wrong date and say they've fixed it and haven't. Hang up when you try to explain they've done something wrong. Don't answer emails and say they don't keep notes on their system on the phone. Say they don't have to look at their emails. They are shady cowboys and should be investigated. Chase you for arrears when you're up to date. Don't give you your information to make online payments
