Moneybox recommended davisons Law to us. Mr Amanpreet Kaur was the solicitor assigned to us. They are efficient and realistic with their timeline. We had our end of tenancy before we had our completion date. In August, I asked Mr. Kaur if we could transfer by October, though he did not give us an absolute guarantee, however he aimed to finish the whole process by end of October. True to his words, we got our keys today, 30/10/2025. Our communication is mainly through email but during those few times I called, my queries were all answered. I am very grateful to Mr. Kaur and his team, Lucy, Rebecca, Samirah and Nathan for the timely update. They are courteous and professional. I highly recommend Davison law.

You’ll note all 1 star reviews for Davisons include a response with the line ‘ We cannot find your matter from your review name’. This is a lie. My full name is Tommy Flowers and I have reviewed here already. I am an existing client, and I have repeatedly attempted to escalate my concerns through every channel provided to me. Emails have been sent. Calls have been made. Requests for escalation have been logged. None have received a meaningful reply. Stating otherwise is a lie.
The absence of communication has been so prolonged that it has jeopardised progress on our purchase and continues to cause significant stress. At no point has the Davisons taken any responsibility for its own inaction. Instead, the burden continually falls back on us to chase updates that never arrive.
In my view, this is not a firm struggling temporarily with workload. It is a firm that does not appear to value accountability, transparency, or even the basic duty of keeping clients informed about their own transactions. I am now being gaslit by my own solicitor after doing everything I can to minimise their own incompetence.
Only with the advice of our agent and broker did we not sack this firm months ago - I wish I had not followed their advice and this issue is still unresolved.
Let me save Davisons Law the effort of posting their usual templated reply: yes, you have my details, and no, your failure to use them is not my responsibility.

Gemma at the Cotteridge branch has been amazing . She has guided us through bereavement, probate, IHT and the subsequent sale of property.
Importantly for us, she has been prompt in answering our queries and chasing other parties.
One of the best solicitors the family has ever dealt with, would definitely recommend.

I wouldn't even give them 1 star but needed to write a review. They are completely incompetent and unable to read a court order. They were on the buyers side after elling my house at acutction and took 2 months after the completion date to complete. I had to instigate matrimonial solicitors to complete what they were paid to do which I will now be claiming via the legal ombudsman. Please avoid at all costs
YOu have since responded to my review and have lied. Helen Bartlam, a director of your company has been advised as has your complaints department ref BEL9210/0001.

Everyone was easy to talk to, and if not available someone else would look up records at a moment's notice and be able to pass on information which they at once understood and could explain.

Ratika helped me with a somewhat complex buy to let purchase. Ratika was very responsive and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to use her and Davisons again

Can recommend Davisons Law (Four Oaks), who managed the sale of our family home.
Would have liked a few more updates on progress along the way. But on the whole, were really happy with their service.

I used the services of Zaid Malik
Associate ‑ Litigation Chartered Legal Executive. Zaid was thorough and explained things in plain English. Throughout the time I used his services he was prompt, thorough and got me the answers and result I wanted. I would recommend his services if you require this type of work.

I used Davison Law in Leamington Spa. Working through the process of buying my home was ok - not good and not bad. If you want to make progress you need to chase. The main problem came towards the end of the process when I was issued my final bill. This missed stamp duty, something which should be fairly standard! I was then issued a second final bill, only to find out 6 months later that this was still missing over £500 they wanted me to pay. Be warned using these solicitors, there is no attention to detail and who knows if your final bill is actually accurate!

Tried to get them to act on my behalf for conveyancing. Called them to discuss details of the quote to make sure it was correct. Took three calls and 40 rings before they answered. Person I spoke to this morning was very unhelpful and advised they would not discuss any details until they were onboarded. Consequently I took my business elsewhere. I would not call or use them again.

I highly recommend this service for its excellent communication and responsiveness. Whenever I had a query, I received prompt and professional responses. Nathan was brilliant, professional, and friendly, walking us through every step.

Unless you enjoy spending thousands of pounds to just be totally ignored I'd recommend avoiding Davisons as if your life depended on it. It took 5 months for me to move into my home even though the property was empty, there was no chain either side and both I and the seller very much wanted a quick sale. The reason? There wasn't one, except for the fact that Davisons (Birmingham branch) just didn't do anything for weeks at a time. I once went 4 weeks without hearing anything from them despite my many emails and phone calls. I'm not sure if they are short staffed but the service was abysmal. Plus I went for one of the most expensive companies as I wanted things to go smoothly. You do not get your moneys worth. What should have been an exciting time turned into nothing but stress due to the incompetence at Davisons.

If I could give 0 I would. Used over a year ago to buy & sell property. I have over 30 years experience of buying & selling my homes. The branch was Lichfield Firstly if you want to see your named solicitor or a cosy chat dream on you only ever see office staff junior or otherwise. On the day of move (stressful day in itself) all my worldly goods on 2 vans I had a phone call to say a mistake had been made in the figures and I owed over £2,000 which had to be sent there and then. I was in a panic and very upset. I had no access to my laptop or my passwords for the building society. I offered to come to office declined.
In short I managed to use my mobile with very little charge and remember my passwords. This was a dreadful experience and I never received a letter of apology or explanation.
I was assured that exchange and completion on same day was something they avoided again not true.
Finally had to chase up my land registry certificate they never sent
They did not show appropriate diligence in their work. I do not recommend this company.

Our experience with Davisons Law as first-time buyers has been appalling. The conveyancing process has been marked by unacceptable delays, a complete lack of communication, and repeated failure to return calls or respond to emails. When we asked how to escalate our concerns, we were ignored entirely. This is not just poor service — it is unprofessional and negligent. Buying a home is stressful enough without being left in the dark by the very firm meant to guide us. We would strongly advise others to avoid Davisons Law.

*ignore their response because they did deal with me through the legal ombudsman
DONT USE THIS BUSINESS! IT WILL DRAIN YOU OF EVERYTHING YOU HAVE BOTH FINANCIALLY AND MENTALLY. This business does not know how to provide a good level of customer service if it slapped them in the face and bleeds you dry by charging you double search fees while also being incompetent at providing the correct documentation!

My experience with Davisons law was exceptional and this is all thanks to Dominic Levy one of the solicitors that works there, he was brilliant from start to finish, catered for all of our needs and even going that little bit extra to get everything we needed sorting. A true professional. fantastic with explaining all the details and getting us across the line in our remortgage.
Would highly recommend Dominic and I will 100% be using Davisons services again in future and specifically asking for Dom going forward.

We've hired Davisons for the sale and purchase of our house. Then we got to know our buyer also hired Davisons lawyers for the purchase of our house. When I queried about the conflict of interest I was told they have a special license for this and they have separate branches handling each case deferentially. At that point I was happy about this and I made them payment.
After I did the payment and during the process they sent an email with a PDF for me to sign, it said that if there's conflict of interest arises then they will stop acting on behalf of both parties (me and my buyer) which means we have to get another lawyer to resolve conflicts.
So its really shady on the Davidson's part to have this typeof business practice and only inform us about this mid process after even we paid them.
