How Can You Trust Your Data to a Company That Works Like This?

I selected Datenretter-Schweiz GmbH because their website prominently advertises a “free analysis” for damaged drives. After sending in my hard drive, I was surprised to receive a bill for CHF 75, including a CHF 50 “Order Cancellation” fee that was never mentioned during the ordering process.

Only after I questioned it did the company point to some hidden fine print. Nothing on their main pages, order pages, or marketing materials warned about this fee. Advertising a free analysis and then charging customers afterwards is misleading and unprofessional.

And honestly — how can you trust a company with your sensitive data when they already show such a lack of transparency and honesty in their business practices?
Data recovery requires trust, but their approach immediately undermines it.

Their response to my complaint was dismissive rather than helpful. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services.
