The most overly complicated system that will waste weeks of your life.
If you're buying or renting a house in a country you need heating DO NOT GO FOR A HOUSE WITH A DEVIREG/ DANFOSS SYSTEM. They are uterly shocking. I live on an estate where literally everyone has them and we all hate them. The recurring theme is 'you need a PhD to work that system. To be clear, I got a first class degree at university and I've probably spent a full working week (circa 50 hours) trying to get out system to work. It saps energy, is crazy expensive, but it never actually works or gets warm.
If I were buying a property I'd 100% budget to rip this system out and have a new one installed. In fact, let me know if you rip it out because I'd love to watch it burn.
Honestly, unless you're an electrician with expertise in heating systems just don't bother.
Thermostat not responding
Thermostat not responding, there is no heating now. Emailed customer service, no response. Called hotline, if you are a home owner, please call a technician for help.
There should be 5 year warranty on the thermostat. No service I can get.
Avoid
Truly appalling. Avoid at all costs. Terrible service and after 4 years we're replacing completely.
Improve dunfoss
We encountered a problem with one of the Danfoss HIU units and, as professional heating engineers, we reached out to Danfoss for technical support. Unfortunately, we were told they couldn’t assist us directly and advised us to contact SAV Systems, who handle the UK market.
When we contacted SAV Systems, the experience was disappointing. They provided misleading information and appeared more focused on steering us towards booking one of their engineers for nearly £400 just to inspect the HIU, rather than offering clear and accurate guidance to resolve the issue.
As professionals in the field, we rely on manufacturers and their partners to provide reliable technical support. This experience has been frustrating and has made it unnecessarily difficult to address the problem efficiently.
We hope both Danfoss and SAV Systems improve their support processes to better assist engineers in the future
rubbish customer service
rubbish customer service
been trying to get in contact with with them for 3 days nobody answers the phone nobody answers emails tried the rep no answer bit of joke to be honest wouldn't have any of there products in the future if this is the level of non existent customer service
No technical support for home users
No technical support for home users. The help line blanked me and told me to get a technician in to look at it. Utterly useless wast of money.
No help at all for homeowners
When my thermostat broke I called their helpline, which told me that they did not provide technical support to homeowners, and redirected me to their website.
The section on the website to which I was redirected offered absolutely no helpful support videos or articles, only promotion for their newest products and information on how to install and set them.
Since I cannot find a way to fix this thermostat, I'm going to have to buy a new one—and it certainly won't be a another Danfoss!
Customer services need to improve vastly
Both our Danfoss thermostats are just a little over two years old. Both are advertised as coming with a 5 year warranty. Both have failed within 10 days of each other, one of them completely and on the other one only half the touch-sensitive buttons still work.
On calling Danfoss customer services I was told that "they don't deal with that" and "they don't really have any information about that". No further advice or information was forthcoming, from the least customer-friendly person I think they could find to man the phone. Even on their website the product has a 5-year warranty sticker on it - yet they seem unwilling to even enter into any discussion about how to resolve the terrible reliability and quality of their products.
Danfoss programmer 4 years old blank…
Danfoss programmer four years old blank screen. After much researching eventually found a customer service number to ring. Spoke to 'technical support' who abruptly told me to press reset button, told him I had, to no effect, he then told me i needed a new programmer. I suggested not a very good product only lasting 4 years so he put me through to customer service. They told me the same. I asked if this was normal, he said no idea only worked there three months. Useless! Now have to find heating engineer.
If I could leave zero stars I would
If I could leave zero stars I would.
My thermostat has stopped working, which also means my boiler won't work and I've had no heating for 6 days.
My house is only 2.5 years old and the thermostat is guaranteed for 10 years. I have been emailing them daily to get someone to assist, but so far all I have is a case number (provided by an automated email) and radio silence - no human contact whatsoever.
I bet I will get further silence when I send them the call out bill for an emergency engineer because I can't live without heating indefinitely!
Try and avoid Danfoss thermostats at all costs.
Truly awful TP5001
Truly awful TP5001. Moved into a new build and expected a smart heating system. Far from it. The screen is tiny, the instructions next to useless. Intermittently forgets number 3 schedule time. Truly awful to control your temp manually. Customer service non existent. Ripping out and putting in Hive
Utter rubbish tp1
Utter rubbish tp1
It's TOO complicated or maybe there's a fault. Who knows. Even britsh gas engineers don't like them.
Trust pilot reviews says it all
Can't wait for Hive to be installed.
Over complicated rubbish
Ive just moved into a new house with Danfoss heating controlers. They are absolutely useless, not working as they should and immediately dropping all settings inputted. So frustrated I'm going to rip out and replace.
Steer clear of danfoss, its rubbish.
Why does Danfoss discriminate against users on their Technical Helpline?
Too early to say how my TP One-M thermostat will perform. My major criticism of Danfoss is regarding the way the company treat their product users.
I had the TP One-M installed by an engineer who, as it only turned out later, wasn't familiar with the product. And as it was summer, I only noticed that the thermostat wouldn't make my boiler fire up and heat my home, days later. Since I first thought that it is me and my settings causing the issue, I watched all publicly available videos - except Danfoss's own ones, as they aren't available to users - and tried adjusting my User Settings. After it didn't work, I dialled Danfoss's "customer" "service".
Their engineer told me he would only provide me with "extremely limited" information, and indeed, I would get no replies to my - by that stage - quite expert queries, bar one small one. Getting clarity on the Instruction Manual and the product features was near impossible. Danfoss refer you to "your installer". After I explained that my installer turned out not to be a Danfoss expert & asked how to find alternative installers, Danfoss told me they don't have a list, nor a concept of a Danfoss-qualified engineer.
So unless your engineer is willing to return and ring Danfoss, customers are left helpless.
Luckily, my engineer did come back. Once he rang Danfoss, the Technical Help guy identified the problem quite quickly - it was the wiring which was ambiguous in Danfoss's diagram. My installer then handed the phone to me, & I was able to ask about some features.
But once I returned the phone to my installer so he could read two questions I prepared, on the applicability of two Installer Settings (the Chrono Control, and the Start-up Method), the Danfoss guy said that he can't answer those questions if they are mine - even if it is the installer asking them! Claiming that "users cannot ask Installer questions"! I left the room, and my installer managed to get replies. Yet as he doesn't really know Danfoss, and thus was unable to ask follow-up questions, I am none the wiser.
I think this kind of attitude to users is unacceptable. I would not recommend Danfoss to anyone except perhaps an engineer who installs it for him/herself, then will have full access to the Technical Support information database and specialist advice.
that s***t breaks soon and is discontinued

Sent numerous emails regarding a problem with my RF panel, have not replied to any.
There does not seem to be any way of getting in touch with them.
Danfoss FP720 rubbish!
I have just fitted a new Danfoss FP720 Heating Timer to replace a faulty FP715Si. What a nightmare! The 1-hr boost facility (on both channels) only works when in "Auto + 1 hr" mode! We never used to have it in Auto mode except when we went away on holiday. Now I've had to set all the On and Off times to the same time on both channels so that they never actually come on and when we need a boost we have to switch from "Off" mode to "Auto + 1 hr" mode! And that's easier said than done because the timer is situated about 2 metres high towards the top of a Thermal Store (Heat Bank) and the screen is impossible to read unless your eyes are exactly level with it. Have Danfoss gone mad?
System suddenly unsupported
Like other customers below, my controller has suddenly come up the message "This software has not been registered and cannot continue" leaving we without any heating in the middle of winter. Impossible to get any support whatsoever to try to resolve it. Answer seems to be to scrap the system and buy a new one - outrageous.
Utterly appalling
I would give no stars if I could. I've had 3 of these things, and now the 3rd one is on the blink. Functionality is shockingly bad. The screen is not backlit which makes the very low contrast monochrome screen extremely hard to read. My third one has now taken maxing out the temperature (i.e. it sets the heating to 30°) seemingly, whenever it feels like it...and best of all, I can't turn it down through the controller. I have to turn off the controller to initiate a reset and then try again, and keep my fingers crossed. Customer service is completely nonexistent. It's basically just cheap, nasty crap that I would highly suggest you avoid. I'll be changing mine asafp for something decent
My Danfoss link unit suddenly stopped…
My Danfoss link unit suddenly stopped working after 6 years with the message that "This software has not been registered and cannot continue" on the screen. I tried contacting Danfoss. No answer. I tried reachin them through the retailer. No answer for week (the retailer was hellpfull, though). I the end the constructive answer from Danfoss was "buy new". I expected Danfoss the heating systems to last longer than 6 years and their service to be better.
