I purchased an annual subscription
I purchased an annual subscription. After two weeks I was over it and canceled any further subscriptions. a couple months later I logged in again to check to make sure I canceled. after the year was up They charged me $149 for another annual subscription even though I had canceled, I brought this to their attention and they refused to refund me my money.
I’m having to close my line of credit to make sure they do not continue billing me.
Satisfied
We've been subscribers for the last 3 years. We enjoy several of the hosts. My own favorite is Andrew Klavan. We've seen many other features/ movies, documentaries and generally like them. Looking forward to their adaptation of the Pendragon Cycle - novels i've read. They don't have a lot of international news and business news is a little weak, so my husband subscribes to the Economist and listens to NPR to see what they are saying.
Daily Wire Stealing Money.
I canceled my Daily Wire subscription earlier this year 2025. I watched the movies and found no other shows beneficial to me. Tried to remove my credit card at that time and it wouldn’t let me.
Come to find Daily Wire has fraudulently charged me $149 on December 20, 2025.
I canceled the subscription again today December 21, 2025 says my cancellation will be December 20, 2026 and once again I cannot remove my credit card from the account.
So FN fraudulent Daily Wire you received a yearly payment back on December 20, 2024, I canceled. You refused to let me remove my payment method, and now I know why so they can steal money from myself and others.
I want / we want our money back DAILY WIRE damn thieves.
I will be getting a hold of USAA Visa tomorrow and will be disputing the charges.
No advance notice of subscription…
No advance notice of subscription renewals or any communication whatsoever. Unapologetic and just refer to some vague terms/conditions from a year ago. Terrible service.
No billing or communication or refund
Company charges year in advance. No notice of renewal, simply charges card and refuses cancellation, even prorated. I believe I cancelled renewal 11mo. ago, and I received zero communication since that cancellation-even for new charge or confirmation. Found new charge on bank site & called directly w/in 2wks. This is theft.
They automatically renewed my…
They automatically renewed my subscription without notification and charged me $149.00 and refuse to reimburse me.
Do NOT subscribe to this company
Do NOT subscribe to this company. They force you to auto-renew in their "terms and agreements" policy. If you do not agree to their terms, you cannot order any subscription. Do NOT fall for their "Trial offers"....Just steer clear. If you do get a surprise "auto-renew" charge, you will NOT get a refund, even if you contact them on the day your charge shows up on your credit card! They will try to make you happy by forcing you into a comittment of an additional year by giving you 50% discount for your current year and then 50% off the following. That means they keep your money and get to use you as a subscriber number for their advertisers. Furthermore, they will auto-renew you again 2 years from now, as you will not be able to cancel until closer to that time. Of course, they are hoping you will forget or miss the invisible email they claim to send as a reminder. Look this company up. BBB has several complaints, as well. Same issues!
Auto renewed when I didn't sign up
Auto renewed when I didn't sign up, refused to refund the money.
Scam
Scam. Terrible company . You sign up to watch one video for a small amount. A year later your back account is charged $149 with no prior notice. The company refuses to return your money. Beware.
Will not provide refund when cancelled within 14 days.
I would give The Daily Wire a 0 if the review site allowed it. It appears that they have aggressively been charging customers renewal subscriptions and when contacted requesting cancellation and refund within 14 days of renewal. All I get is we can offer you a 50% offer for next year. what the heck? Why would I want yo get locked into a two year subscription for a service I have cancelled. Then the website won't even allow me to remove my credit card to prevent them doing this again in the future. Time to file consumer Complaints against them.
Unauthorized Subscription Charge and Denied Refund
I did not authorize my card number to be automatically updated for this subscription. The card on file had been cancelled, and that cancelled card was used for last year's payment, so this year's payment should not have gone through.
Despite this, two days after the automatic annual charge of $149 (originally $99 when I started), they refused to issue a refund and required me to pay the full amount.
Money hungry and no morals…
I didn’t know it was going to renew and they charged me 150, and refused to work with me. I just got separated and living on one income with my child and I can’t afford the renewal after the year promo. They only care about making money. Save your money, don’t subscribe. They don’t have a lot of good content anyway. I wish my money went to Candace Owens at least it’s content I could use.
They talk about ethics and criticize…
They talk about ethics and criticize others for not being ethical and then engage in very unethical and deceptive actions. They auto renew with no email or text communication informing me that they were going to charge my card. Every other subscription I have informs me before the auto renewal charge is implemented. I called to cancel and have my charge credited. They refused and offered to give me discount but I would have to sign up for two more years? What a scam. Very deceptive business practice. I an incredible disappointed and disgusted. What a “conservative” joke.
I would give 0 stars if I could
I would give 0 stars if I could. I canceled my subscription over a year ago and was charged a renewal fee which according to their bot can't be refunded. It does not matter that I canceled online months before my renewal date and did not access the service the entire time since I canceled the service. Customer service is a chat bot and it does not matter what you tell it, it will charge you regardless. This is a dishonest company.
Don't sign up for their membership
Don't sign up for their membership. They'll charge you, then not remind you of a renewal and you will NEVER get a refund if you forget a year later.
Such bad faith business practice.
I did NOT know I was under some kind of…
I did NOT know I was under some kind of automatic annual subscription renewal of $249. I requested a refund from the charge two weeks ago, but was denied. That is NOT in good faith and a lousy business practice. This is something I would expect from principled conservatives. Sadly, I will have to look elsewhere for conservative media content as I will have nothing to do with Daily Wire ever again, nor any of its contributors (unsubscribing from all of them on all platforms). That's the last dime or attention from me they'll ever receive...I hope it was worth the $249 subscription fee. As a Veteran, I guess this ended up being a gift to them on Veteran's Day.
Beware of AUTO renew fees. I DO NOT recommend signing up
I wanted to give this program a try. I didn't realize I was signed up for Auto renew so it billed me full price when my membership was set to expire. Total SCAM and I will never recommend them to anyone.
Unsubscribing is impossible
Í unsubscribed from them over a year ago and I had done so multiple times. Yet they still tried charging my card. A whole year later they attempt to charge again despite my multiple attempts to stop this subscription.
BEWARE!!
BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!
In September 2024 with the election very much in doubt I signed up for a $75 membership to help support what I felt at that point was a good cause. (I never did anything like that before!) I should have read Trustpilot first (and will from now on) because of The Daily Wire’s current 1.7 rating!!! I rarely used the membership in the first month. I could not even finish watching the one movie I tried to watch because of poor conceptual issues. I should have cancelled right then. Not only did they automatically renew in September 2025 at $150 plus fees to make it $162+ (I am 72 on a fixed income) they refused to even offer a prorated refund on their initial response. When I cancelled my membership online they try to persuade me not to cancel by offering a $40 membership. If they can do that they should offer prorated refunds on their inane automated (and silent) renewals. That’s the issue in the majority of the complaints on Trustpilot. I have not used the membership at all in over 12 months! They say they sent an email with "Your DailyWire+ membership renews soon" as a subject line in August. But with at least one email from them EVERY DAY (as their name implies) it didn’t get opened or even seen. I’ve asked for my request for a refund to be elevated to a supervisor because of these extenuating circumstances but after reading their extremely poor reviews on Trustpilot I don’t hold any hope whatsoever. (Update—they refused to escalate.) They tripled my initial support (at what ultimate cost?!) with their automated renewal policy which fails to send you a real time confirmation of their charge when it happens—no notice at all until my credit card bill arrived! Whoever runs the business side of The Daily Wire is being extremely short sighted as they are making enemies faster than they will garner long term support because of their no refunds at any time policy. Oh, and BTW, there is NO WAY TO DELETE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION FROM YOUR ONLINE ACCOUNT! While they sent me an email saying that my account is cancelled and to use it until September 2026, I am considering closing my credit card completely because of this inane policy. I no longer trust them to do what they say. Ben Shapiro (who is now Editor Emeritus) is ruining his reputation by allowing this type of policy to continue unabated. I will no longer listen to or support anything or anyone associated with The Daily Wire. And people that work there and for them should be ashamed that their paycheck is paid by such an unforgiving refund policy.
(I have CC’d this to their Editor-in-Chief at Email that can be found online. I’m just one dissatisfied person. The old saying is that it takes 10 good reviews to get 1 new customer, but it takes 1 bad review to lose 10 potential customers.)
BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!
