Currys - Oxford Reviews 

We were sold a lap top that was labelled as £250 off the list price. No box, no instruction manual. We were conned into buying lots of software we didn’t need. When we got home, the lap top didn’t have a cursor and so we couldn’t use it. We discovered that the price we had paid was the normal list price. Where did the £250 go?
We took the whole lot back two days later and a very helpful member of staff refunded our money. We were missold.

This is in regards to an incident in front of my child in the store who was patiently waiting for a Pokemon 30th anniversary product which was delivered to the store and this has happened multiple times now

When the Pokemon stock arrived, we asked the counter and the kind staff member went to get it to sell to us as it was his birthday and he wanted it as a product, this was yesterday.

When the staff member returned, 6 staff members also arrived with them and a box of Pokemon products. They then advised staff have the right to buy the products first and the staff members then proceeded to buy everything, leaving nothing for my child, despite us being their first. Some bought 6 products each, this isn’t right.

I couldn’t believe what was happening, over a child’s card game these people were really just taking all the products. One staff member even said it’s valuable stock and they will sell it on eBay and make double!

I was gob smacked and they then advised they have more stock as it’s gone and to try on another re stock when it arrives

I was horrified, how could they do that to a child waiting by the door and just push ahead of him and buy the stock ?

I then find out the reason it’s difficult to get stock is because the store employers buy all the stock and it seems like they then sell it on eBay or another platform for a profit

Please can you do something about this ? It’s very difficult to get stock from the above store as staff buy it all to re sell. Children are being left disappointed and customers frustrated as staff push ahead and buy it.

They didn’t even apologise for taking all the stock in front of us and were even rude when I told them that they could have left one for a customer as they pushed ahead.

Is there anything you can do on regards to changes for employees buying all the Pokemon stock and re selling it ? This is for children to enjoy, not adults to make a profit on ? Can you ban the staff from buying Pokemon products ?

I specifically booked an afternoon time slot between 1 and 5 pm at a cost of £35 . I received a phone call at 10am on the morning of delivery day saying that they would be between half and one hours time. I pointed out that I had a between 1 and 5 slot and was told that was it.
The guys who delivered and installed the new washing machine were very good.

We received outstanding customer service at the Currys Oxford branch. We purchased a clearance television and were delighted to receive a brand-new, boxed TV rather than the display model, at an excellent price.

The staff did everything they could to help us secure the best possible price and warranty. As the television was very large and would not fit into our car in its box, they even helped us carefully unpack it and load it safely into the car.

The whole team was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely committed to helping us. This was customer service at its very best. Thank you!

I had to wait a while before someone was free to assist me but I did come to the store in the middle of the day on a Wednesday.
The service and advice was good once an employee was free.

Member of staff very helpful in arranging for my fridge purchase and delivery.

Prompt assistance. Good product knowledge. Easy purchase process. Delivery service given a reduced score as item delivered 24 hrs later than originally promised.

The order went through without issues. The delivery team had to take the washing machine through a difficult route but they did this without fuss and installation was completed in no time. Helpful information was passed on for its operation.

Refreshing experience overall and a complete contrast from those experienced before from other companies.

Very helpful salesman called David who had a good knowledge of the product he was selling. Nothing was to much trouble for him he helped us decide which choice to make and made the whole experience a pleasant one.We would have no hesitation in trusting Davids judgement and advice again.Thank you David for for doing your job so well.

The delivery guys were so helpful and friendly and as I'm partially disabled they just couldn't do more and so tidy and so concerned about being tidy.....

The IT support team spent 2.5 hours with me working through the various issues with my outlook accounts. They were very patient and eventually got both my work and my private email addresses on the one computer.

helpful assistant, we were not rushed into making a decision before purchasing, as we had changed our minds from when we went into the store

Timed our visit early on a Sunday morning meaning that we were able to get immediate attention and assistance from a member of staff.
With plenty of products to choose from, he provided us with additional information which was most welcome and resulted in us purchasing a suitable Smart TV backed by a 3 year instant replacement promise. In all, it was a worthwhile visit and ‘price right’purchase.

Went to the Currys shop Oxford ended up having to order on line because the shop did not offer the goods I wanted

Had the phone I wanted. Paid for data transfer, but not all data was transferred over leaving me with a lot to do at home.
