I wish I had never bought this paint. It completely drained my energy. Crown Brilliant White water-based quick-drying paint should be completely removed from the market to protect future generations. The company should be fined, and buyers should be refunded all the money they spent, considering the pain caused by using this product. Absolutely not recommended, not even to the worst enemy.

Bought brilliant white quick dry paint, the decorator stirred it well, it had the consistency of milk. He put some on the brush and it ran down the handle. As he applied it it was translucent it was so thin. He said it would take some 6-7 coats to get any sort of coverage.
Bought the paint yesterday! Waste of time and waste of my decorators time- who went home but obviously still wanted paying!

I've tried many different paints and never really been as happy using them or the end result as I have using crown .... the suade texture in taupe is so durable and the colour is lovely. Also just used the metalic dark grey in craft paint for a feature wall and it hasn't disappointed. Definitely worth spending that little bit extra for amazing results 👌

I am an enthusiatic decorator, always changing my rooms and trying different styles, its just what i love to do. For three decades i have religiously used Crown, i love their paint. Crown make Dulux looks like store brand compared to named. And with the likes of Valspar, Crown destroy them for quality! I recently had my first bad experience with a Crown paint, a year after it had been put on the wall! I spoke with Crown who were more than fair and offered a remedy for my problem at no extra cost to myself. I think we all know corporations no longer care about customer satisfaction, with Crown its clear they still do! Thank you Crown, I remain a fan and loyal customer.

I would like to share my experience through many years at Crown paint store.
I am a Painter and Decorator from Swindon with over 33 years experience in the trade and l have always purchased from Crown centre in swindon wilts.
Anita Walkden who is the Manager at crown there and in my humble opinion has the patience of a saint and she always does her upmost best to accommodate my extremely fussy needs and she does a great job and she will try her hardest at getting anything that l would need in my trade and she does this so well and without any fuss its in the shop within a day or so. Now this is how Customer Service and care should be.
Plus Anita is always happy too.
Crown l hope you value my opinion because she is a rare Gem.
Many customers have said the same and this is why l Enjoy coming into your centre for materials needed.
Thank you. J

Have lost hours and hours trying to cover a pale off white paint with Crown pure brilliant white, simply does not cover. Patchy and sticky (yea we’ve stirred it properly) - absolutely would not recommend, a simple job (that we need to finish asap before a kitchen fitter) has taken so much longer than needed, now ditching the crown and going back to the diy shop to buy replacement paint, total rubbish, avoid. Will NEVER buy crown again.
EDIT: Thanks for the stock reply *eye roll* No I will not waste even more time contacting your customer services for them to fob me off - unless they have a time machine they can use to replace the days I've wasted on your sub-standard product?? Maybe instead you should ask your technical team to look at your mix - so many complaints about the same thing, not solved by directing people to customer service.

Worst paint ever! Do not use.. tried doing a second coat and the paint is literally peeling off. I never use anything so s*** in my life

I’ve already spoken to customer sever! No help whatsoever!.
Painted almost the whole house in a satin paint which at the time on the tin said “stays white” only to return back to the stores to find out the product was re marketed and a total brand change, saying “long lasting white. I originally purchased this paint because it clearly stated stays white and now it’s long lasting. Clearly the product is not stays white. Have to chose another brand now and re paint the whole house. False advertising!

Used Crown White easy clean, I'm on the third coat and it's still not covering the light colour walls. I've bought some White Dulux opacity 10litres for just £10 more than the Crown 2.5litres, I know this works. Wasted my time and money will definitely never buy White paint from Crown again. My lounge and bedroom was decorated with Crown paint and it were brilliant coverage.

Bought a 5l tin of crown matt pure brilliant white for 2 small built in cupboard walls. I was shocked at how bad the coverage was. The paint was thin and lacking pigment. The amount of paint on the dust sheet was a testament to this. I had previously decorated a living room, hall stairs and landing with Wickes paint, 100x more from 6 small walls than the entirety of that.
The 2nd coat after leaving the first to dry adequately was taking the first coat off. I estimate 4 coats will be needed at this rate. Will not be buying Crown again and with 68% of those reviewing giving 1 star, I guess I'm not on my own.

I visited the crown paint shop in Wisbech , I was served by Richard the manager, and I would like to say what a thoroughly lovely and helpful man he was . He advised me on colour schemes and even made a paint to the exact colour of a material swab I had with me . Will definitely use again . Thank you

The worst paint I have ever used in the 52 years on this planet I've never known anyone who's had to sand emulsion paint the paint is a joke. I will be therefore starting all my conversations with people with "hello don't ever buy crown paint how are you" I've literally lost days of my life due to the poor quality of this product

I bought Crown matt emulsion in Spotlight a while back and it was great. I recently bought another tin of exactly the same but this one seems to be more matt than the first one. Any touching up shows up very badly and now my wall is patchy in a certain light. I thought I'd bought the wrong sheen, but I checked and they're both matt emulsion, but the formula seems to have changed. Now I've 5L that I can't use and a patchy wall. Not happy.

I've purchased two pots of Crown Crafted Family Tree.
Unfortunately despite mixing well the first application has poor coverage and seems very watery.
Is this normal? It certainly is different to all other paints I've used before and I am shocked at the coverage given that it is a premium paint at £36 a tin.

Rubbish paint and I mean pure rubbish, first time using crown paints and it will be the last I usually use Delux Diamond matt now that's what you call paint easy applied as the old saying goes you get what you pay for..

I visited the Manchester branch today - the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, and gave me all the time I needed to pick the right colours and finish. They helped me to choose sundry items that were right for my requirements too. Thank you to Paul for your help, and for being so supportive and patient.
