Refuses to send me my mother's remains!
It has been distressing to use this company for my mother's cremation. They travelled from Adelaide to Mount Gambier to collect my loved one for cremation only, no service.
Communication after the collection has been difficult. There has been little transparency about when forms were filed with Births, Deaths and Marriages; I had to ask several times for the submission receipt so I could follow up myself instead of relying on Daniel's response that it would be not long now.
When I contacted Births, Deaths and Marriages I was told that while the form was submitted in a timely manner, it was not completed until over a week later, thus delaying the Death Certificate. This contradicts what Daniel told me.
Initially, Daniel had offered to send my mother's remains to me via Registered mail, he has since maintained that I must travel to Adelaide to collect them personally, despite repeated requests to send them to me.
Now he has invoiced me for the ashes and yet still not sent them. I have requested a Registered Mail receipt and still not received one.
Country Road Funerals has made a difficult time more distressing.
