Bad / zero after care service
I bought a small antique ebonised Victorian side chair with mother of pearl inlay . It has been in a corner of an unused guest room. A few days ago my daughter who weighs 45 kg sat on it and the back snapped off . I could see at the points of breakage there are stainless steel screws inserted indicating there had been a previous breakage and repairs had been done . When my interior decorator called the store today after emailing them with images to see what could be done. they were patronising , flippant and rude to her - excuses ranged from , " we don't guarantee antiques , we can't refund after a year , you don't live with your client so you can't say how often the chair has been used and by whom, that chair is delicate it should not be used and ( wait for it ) you and your client don't understand antiques" . Well at least I do understand that Coromandel sell junk !
