These people are a scam please save yourself a headache and put your money somewhere else. As far as dealing with customer service they have been nice but also train to stall and tel you the same rehearse script each week saying they will follow back up and never do. I asked the rep for an email explaining the conversation we had so I can have for my records and he told me he wasn't allowed to thats another department that might not even exist. I said I'm not asking you to approve anything its already approved I just need confirmation still a no.I was told it could take up to 10 weeks to send the funds out. Its been more than 3 months and its the same scripted excuse still waiting on a third party. My suggestion to anyone getting in bed with this company be careful. Its not that hard I asked them if anything is missing that I need to fill out they said no everything is fine. Three of us out of five sent the info at the same time and only one person received funds and one after us. I'm not understanding if my paper work was right next to my siblings why wasn't the other portions sent. I usually don't leave negative reviews so this has taken a lot.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience with Corebridge.
I contacted Corebridge earlier today about accessing my retirement funds after leaving state employment. During my initial call, Carmen, asked me to only verify my Zip code. When the Zip code did not match the information in Corebridge's system, she stated she could not verify me or provide me with any information and directed me to contact my plan administrator to "send over updated information".
I subsequently contacted the Department of Health and spoke with the director of HR. The HR director advised me that the Department of Health had in fact submitted my correct and current information to Corebridge.
I called Corebridge again and spoke with another representative. This time I was verified. During this conversation, I learned that my Corebridge account still contained an address, state, phone number and email information dating back 12 years ago.
My concern is why the current information provided by my employer is not reflected on my exisiting Corebridge account. If my employer submitted my updated information, I do not understand why Corebridge's account reflected outdated demographic information that is 12 years old.
The initial representative's (Carmen) poorly handled this call. Rather than being offered additional methods to verify identity, I was simply told that I could not be verified becuase my Zip code did not match an address supplied by a completely different employer 12 years ago. The account from the previous employer had been closed for several years. I had to spend a considerable amount of time contacting the Department of Health and ultimately reaching the HR director before contacting Corebridge again.
What should have been a straightforward request became a lenghty process involving escalation to senior HR personnel. I believe Corebridge should review how employer submitted demographic information is received and updated to exisitng accounts, particularly when the account information is several years old.

IMO This is a horrible company. it's absolutely shameful my fiance's school system uses this company for their 403Bs. He retired a couple of years ago (so he doesn't need the plan administrators permission) and is trying to rollover his account to a different financial institution and they throw up roadblock after roadblock with customer service who is either incompetent or just instructed to keep client's money at any cost. I truly believe they are hoping he'll just give up and leave his money there. The other company he has a 403B with gave him no problem with the rollover. I am considering contacting our State Attorney General as well as the BBB

I spent 58 minutes on the phone trying to resolve an issue with my retirement account. The customer service representative’s English was extremely difficult to understand. I asked for a supervisor but the supervisor was also difficult to understand and was rude during the call. This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve had.

Have been a customer for decades (when AIG moved to Corebridge), yet this year received no email or snail mail communication regarding annual payment due date of bill - until suddenly getting one email notifying account has lapsed payment. No email was ever sent notifying of secure messages waiting in portal until after the fact. Back up contacts provided and set up for the express purpose of being notified should this situation ever occur also did not receive any notification. Company claims both emails were sent and multiple physical notices were mailed to the home but this is not true - nothing ever was mailed or sent. Nothing went to spam. Nothing sent to the home. Have had this policy for decades with no major issues. Call to customer service was answered by someone with a heavy accent that was too difficult to understand over the phone. In addition, the site is not the easiest to navigate, especially using the app via phone where I could not get to where I needed to check. Very upset and not feeling very secure about Corebridge Financial.

Core Bridge is an incompetent company. They did not handle my surrender of insurance policy in a timely or correct manner. I lost my health insurance because of their incompetence.

Absolutely the worst financial institution I’ve dealt with. Outdated processes, little to no guidance and inexperienced staff makes my death claim almost impossible. Will move assets to another platform ASAP.

6 calls later, I still don’t have the simplest answer. It’s not rocket science yet NO ONE CAN HELP!! You are transferred around from one foreigner to another, given multiple phone numbers to call and you can’t get a straight answer. You are given incorrect information over and over and then transferred to yet another person who CANNOT HELP!! Corebridge needs to do a better job!!!

This company is a pathetic excuse of a retirement account. DO NOT let them hold your money hostage anymore. FILE A COMPLAINT IMMEDIATELY WITH EBSA. It's time that all the rude morons that hang up on you when you are only trying to get what rightfully belongs to you, are brought to justice. With enough complaints to the right organizations, I believe they will change their practice.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would do so immediately. My wife has been trying to rollover her investments and this company has botched the process 4 times; either by mailing the check to the wrong address or putting a random name on the check. When calling with our financial advisor we are passed around to multiple people who continue putting us on hold. Not sure how this company has a license to provide financial services. They are completely inept and I would avoid them like the plague

Absolutely terrible. You call and are on hold for a long time. Then when you get ahold of someone they are from India. My dad canceled his policy in May. They were supposed to send him his cash value by check in the mail. We have called several times to receive it. Each time they say they sent it to the wrong address and need to cancel the check to resend it. Its now August and we have yet to receive it. I'm now going to contact the Texas Attorney General.

The process was simple and getting appointed was quick. Corbridge has great products fair pricing. It’s an important addition to any agent portfolio.

If I could give them a zero I would.

I changed to another company and policy was cancelled. They took out another payment. When I called and requested a refund they gave me the run around. I still have not received a refund and now they want me to fill out a packet. They were very rude . I am sure I will never get my refund.

By far and away the most aggravating company i have had to deal with during an already difficult life situation. My parents, both 85 years old had to be placed into longterm care for a variety of health issue. Was told my Dad, who had worked his entire life exceeded the income threshold for medicade. Because of his income, I was advised to transfer ownership of his life insurance policies to my mom to get them both within the income guidelines. Started the process in March of 2026, received the required forms, filled them out and upliaded them to the site along with the required copies of the power of attorney form. After a couple weeks, I called to aquire a status as the medicaid window was closing. I was advised they didnt receive them and I should fax them over. Advised my customer service represantive they were uploaded to the "contact us" section of their website. Faxed them anyway in the hope of acheiving resolution. Few more weeks go by, still no answer, contact customer service again, advised they needed power of attorney forms. Advised they were faxed again advised they did not receive them. Long story short, we missed the medicaid application deadline and are now required to "self pay" the entire amout because of the gross incompetence of this company. Fast forward to July 2026 and I still have no resolution on the transfer and received an email today again requesting a copy of the forms and power of attorney that i have sent, emailed, faxed and uploaded no less than 8 times. If you are considering doing buisness with this company, I beg you to reconsider for the sanity of those representing your best interest in the future. I have never written a review before in my life but I am hopeful my aggravation can save someone from making a huge mistake.

I have been trying to file an annuity death claim on behalf of my grandfather for months now. Every time I call, they say that I have everything correct but it needs to be “reviewed again“ I am his power of attorney and he needs this money for his caregiving. My grandmother died and he was the beneficiary and I have filled out the paperwork and sent them everything they requested. They tell me everything looks good and gives me the greenlight and then nothing happens for weeks. When I call back, they give me the runaround. I’m sure they take your money and everything looks good on the computer screen or on your paper statements but actually getting it back and being able to use it is almost nonexistent. I have no idea how any older person is able to do anything with them. I am in my 30s and I’m jumping through hoops constantly.
They hold money hostage.

I am extremely frustrated with CoreBridge. I submitted all of the required paperwork on July 6. I was told the funds had been sent to my bank, but when I contacted my bank, they said they had not received anything.
I understand that transfers can take 3–5 business days, but it has now been nearly a week with no deposit and no clear explanation. At this point, I have no idea whether my transfer was actually sent, whether there was an issue with the paperwork, or whether a paper check was mailed instead. The lack of clear communication has been unacceptable.
This is not my first issue with CoreBridge. I’ve had delays in the past, although I eventually received my money. This time, however, the experience has left me feeling like my retirement funds are not being handled responsibly.
Customer service has been inconsistent, and I have received conflicting information throughout this process. For a company responsible for people’s retirement savings, that level of uncertainty is unacceptable. I expect transparency, accurate information, and timely handling of my funds.

Corebridge has to be the absolute worst finance company I have ever trusted with my money. Every single transaction is resistant, challenging, and frustrating. What should be a straightforward, routine process consistently turns into an administrative nightmare.
Instead of an efficient financial institution, I am met with endless red tape, contradictory information from representatives, and a total lack of urgency regarding my funds. It feels like the system is deliberately designed to make accessing or managing my own money as difficult as possible.
I am completely exhausted by the lack of transparency and the constant hurdles. A financial company should provide peace of mind and reliable service, but dealing with Corebridge only brings unnecessary stress.
