I have Military Retired Tricare for…

I have Military Retired Tricare for Life. The way that works is that the provider bills Medicare and whatever they don't pay is then sent to Tricare for additional payment. I had home infusion services and got a statement showing Tricare and paid some of the bill but no indication Medicare was billed. TWO letters I sent at the proper address were sent to Coram requesting info on why Medicare was not billed. Both were ignored. I finally call the number only to be told Medicare did not cover these expenses and I was responsible. The rep confirmed both of my letters were in my file.
I asked for a WRITTEN explanation in response to my two letter and I would pay the balance upon receipt. I was told that note would be entered in my file and I should expect a response.
Surprise.... no response

Erratic and Illegal Billing Practices

I had infusion services in 2022. The bills were so random and for varied amounts. They told me it was my insurance company. I spoke to my insurance company they said it was very erratic billing from CORAM. Many calls and requests to speak to supervisors....no supervisor EVER calls back. Fast forward to 2024, I begin to get random bills again. This is in violation of state law to bill for medical services over one year ago. I FINALLY get to speak to a supervisor who tells me he will send me a letter of zero balance to me. One week later, I recieve a letter from CORAM, I open it and it is a statement for some guy in FLORIDA for tube feeding! CORAM tells me that perhaps the bill was meant for a neighbor! I live on the west coast, the guy lives in florida! So this same rep tells me that my insurance had not paid everything yet and that I would have a "few more bills to pay". I told him that the supervisor said I would get a letter of zero balance, he argued a bit and then said he would send a letter of no balance to me. I have not received the letter yet. This company has strange erratic billing procedures in violation of Washington state law. The company rarely has a supervisor call back and they all seem to be trained to respond to complaints by blaming my insurance company! Call wait times are longer than 20 minutes usually. I do not recommend anyone use their services ever!

I was a previous patient of Coram

I was a previous patient of Coram, receiving in-office infusion therapy on a monthly basis. It should be noted that the nurse was fantastic.

I do have a complaint about their accounting/billing department. I had insurance issues, once resolved, Coram owed me a refund in the amount of approximately $3K.

I have been calling the accounting department for over three months, attempting to resolve this issue. Every time I've called, they say "they're working on it". I ask to speak to a supervisor - they say that one will call me back, and no one calls me back.

I switched providers for my infusion therapy due to Coram's accounting department issues, because I was spending hours each month dealing with this with no success. My new provider has no billing or customer service issues.

Coram has owed me $3K for 3 months. I've called over a dozen times, and they are refusing to resolve this issue and get my three grand back.
