Great stay, and great location down by the harbour

We booked a harbourside room and the views were excellent, very relaxing and peaceful. Nice location, 20 min walk to train station, the Copenhagen City Card bus is just 3 min walk away and gets you to the main central attractions of the city.

Terrible booking handling

We arrived on 25.06 to find out our booking was as the hostess said we surprisingly do not have a reservation. After a little meltdown and an hour of the hostess and her colleague spinning in circles they suggested us booking a new room and paying additionally because “there was no booking”.

Well, we checked again with our agency and they claim they did do the booking and it is Copenhagen Island who messed up.

Now I don’t know what is happening but clearly I am in complete right to have my money refunded!

This was very underwhelming

This was very underwhelming. I’ve seen many reviews talking about how good the cleaning was, but when I arrived to my room it was covered in dust. The great view from anywhere in hotel that was promised wasn’t there at all. Service wasn’t all that great, the fridge in my room was broken and they didn’t do anything about it. The breakfast had minimal opinions, and very long line. There were even things missing in the room I was staying in. And there were not many options for places to be expect for the room. All in all not very enjoyable.

Overall not too impressive

1. We arrived at the hotel 20 minutes before check in. It was freezing cold outside so we planned to wait by the reception but the front doors were locked. We could clearly see three receptionists at the front desk but we had to wait outside, freezing, for 20 minutes.
2. We stayed for two nights and were told on the first evening that we had to check-out and check-in again after the first night and that it had no time pressure. We planned to do so at 1 pm, but the phone in our room rang three times before 12.30, to remind us to do so. Firstly we thought it was good service but the third time we got annoyed.
3. We could not get the tv in our room to work so we called for help but were just told that "We don't know either, so we can't help you"
4. The breakfast was not too impressive. There were not many options to choose between and there were really no satiating food options.
