Well well well we're does one start!

Well well well we're does one start!

Rats....multiple missed appointments.
No call an hour before attending as they make you stay in allday!
The the van broke down!
Then late for appointment and I had to leave for school run, so they said I refused entry!
Multiple appointments where they simply didn't show up!
Told my landlord it was my fault lol

Eventually sorted the rats! Failed to advise landlord the entry point was the drain!

The wasps nest....

After 8 months we still have the wasps nest and after 4 attempts to kill it and alode of excuses to why they haven't we still have wasps coming into our home through the bathroom light!

All the queen's. Heating on out they come. It's January.

Dogs have been stung, my disabled child has been stung, he no longer uses the toilet just craps himself and I've been stung. We use our local lesuire center to shower.

Still awaiting an appointment after 3 weeks of landlord contacting them again.

I would avoid these people are literally shown the job and left to so it.

I will be suing.

Contego pest control fraudsters

Contego pest control fraudsters.

Most unprofessional scamming company.

The agent who visited for pest control did not check the whole house thoroughly i have asked him to check the atik he refused to check. The agent from the pest control company said he does not get paid enough to do so.

He is a sub contractor. On the 2nd visit the mice was still coming inside the house. They haven't taken any action and precaution measures to prevent damages to my property.

The visit from pest control was waste of time. Nothing has been done as of yet. They haven't applied any gel or left any poison to kill or get rid of the mices.

They also haven't emailed the report to me as agreed.

Therefore i have taken this with the company who appointed them one call insurance home emergency. I have filed a formal complaint they are dealing with this. I have also got in touch with regulated body to file a formal complaint about my experience with the company.

Avoid this company, they will let you down time and time again!

4, yes 4 failed appointments, despite following all text confirmations, this company failed to even call to advise that the technician was ill, then van broke down, then no excuses at all but sadly I had to call them to find out why no one came, no proactive calls made or apology and complete silence when I emailed to complaint, awful, I’ve lost work time and holidays at work to be in for no one to show! What a joke! Avoid at all costs!

Excellent Service - Recommended

David Andrews our technician from York was excellent in dealing with the mouse problem in our loft. Very professional, but very approachable, and he explained to us clearly each step he was taking to sort the problem. It has been resolved to our satisfaction and we recommend Contego Response for any of your pest control needs.

What a useless unreliable company,it…

What a useless unreliable company,it took 3 attempts from my landords for them to actually make an appointment.When the staff member turned up,he was very good and knowledgeable and said furher appointments would be necessary,so i recieved a follow up appointment and made arrangements to be in.Then i received a textjust before they closed cancelling the day before,so when i phoned back the day staff had gone home and just the nighttime emergency office staff were there.What a cowardly act to cancel knowing they weren't there to speak to the customer.If Santuary Housing read this,please use another pest control company,we tenants deserve a better service than the useless Contego provide.....

Continued poor and unprofessional service

I have an on-going pest control matter at my tenants address. This useless company were allocated the call by my insurance company - I have already written a review regarding their failed attendance without any notice and their unprofessional and negative response. Today there was supposed to be a follow-up call, this was allocated, as they always do, as an all day appointment, this is confirmed by a message generated at their end which has to be responded to. My tenant did that and was prepared to stay in and wait, however this morning she received another message from them with a clearly defined timeline for attendance between 16.35 and 17.05hrs. She was delighted and went out for a walk with her baby. The engineer turned up at 12.20hrs unannounced- well he phoned me and asked where was I ? He could not wait for my tenant to return so left. I immediately emailed the facts to the Contego, only to have a response from their accounts manager stating that the tenant had clearly misread the message and should have stayed in - this is despite the fact that I included a copy of the message sent by them updating the appointment to a defined time, she replied to my protestations that the company does not issue such messages and that it had been read incorrectly !!!

Poor company, poor staff, poor accounts manager. Stay away, many of the reviews here indicate that this is an unprofessional company. I agree.

We've had a wasp nest in a bush in our…

We've had a wasp nest in a bush in our back garden that was becoming a problem so contacted our social housing provider Thirteen for help. The Thirteen call centre staff member was very helpful and contacted Contego Response to come out to us this morning. Lewis, a Contego Response rep, arrived to our home inspecting the wasp nest, he was very knowledgeable and kept us thoroughly informed about how he would deal with it, gave us expert advice on how to keep safe while he would be working with the wasp nest problem especially with my disabled husband who I'm carer for was allergic to wasp stings. Lewis was fully kitted up wearing protective gear and told us to keep windows closed when he was clearing out the nest and not to go out in the back garden for a certain amount of time. He was very explanatory about wasps, their habits and nesting, what he used and would be doing. He's going to return next week to check up everything he has done has had a good outcome. Customer service we received from Lewis on behalf of Contego Response was thoroughly appreciated and outstanding, A1.

Worst service provider

Worst service provider
I have been chasing this business for the last few.
They keep ignoring customer service.
Receptionist all lie through their teeth.
My mum is terminally ill, waiting for a service to come and sort out rodents in her flat.
The name of their manager is confidential information, they will not give out the manager’s or supervisor’s name.

Outstanding

Outstanding, exceptional and altruistic service from Matthew Fisher of Contego Response!!!
Matthew provided me with continuous updated information during each visit. His knowledge is extraordinary along with his professionalism!
He is a credit to the company and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Matthew or Contego Response. I hope this review is passed onto Matthew along with my thanks.

Dreadful customer service

I have had to give 1 star as 0 stars is not an option!
Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.
Our first visit to sort out roof rats was in June. This was arranged through our insurance company. The man who came out then was actually very good and explained that we would get 2 follow up visits. We are now in September and have had no follow up visits. Whenever an appointment is booked, nobody ever turns up! It took me to phone to find out if they are coming after waiting in all day, nobody informed me. Excuses from "had to go to an urgent job" to "looks like he has gone home now". I have taken 3 days off work for wasted visits and refuse to take any more. My request for compensation has been totally ignored.
We have since encountered a bluebottle infestation caused by decaying rats in the cavity walls which we have had to deal with ourselves. Still no response from Shane Lamb, Operations Manager despite emailing him my phone number on 11th August.
I would not recommend using this company.

Time wasting.

Time wasting.
They give you a time slot and then say no, we don't guarantee the time slot, you MUST stay at home from 8am to 5pm. Was given a 9-10 time slot, they came in the afternoon. They also come for 3 consecutive visits which means taking off 3 entire days from work.
They came multiple times because, as explained later, they cancelled my appointment when we still had mice, which meant i had to stay locked up at home 6 days for very short visits.
Had two different engineers coming, a middle aged man who barely looked around and said you're fine then cancelled the following appointment (before which I found another mouse IN MY BEDROOM). He wasn't thorough at all. Another younger guy, I believe his name was Adam, was instead very thorough and helpful.
Only positive is this guy's professionalism. Everything else is negative for me.

5 stars for Ryan at Contego…

5 stars for Ryan at Contego Warwickshire. He is polite, explained everything to me, he found the entry point straight away. I had to call them out due to bad building work by Bellway homes, on a brand new property which unfortunately due to the build has allowed field mice to get into the loft.

Amateur service

Contego Pest Control Scotland Technician was unable to identify insects on insect monitor. The product used did not work. I would not recommend this company.

Company was very swift in dealing with my issue and have kept me up to date all the way through to let me know how things were progressing. The engineer Hugh was very helpful and went above and beyond to help me out.
