Help when it really matters most.

Not sure the branch number. But it's located in Clarkston, Michigan on Sashabaw and Clarkston Road.
I ALWAYS get helpful, knowledgeable help from a young lady named Jasmine Newsom. She has been helpful in several different situations I've found myself in. If there is nothing she can do at that moment, she gives me the solution of how I can repair anything I might have done or failed to do.
I can say definitely if it was not for her assistance, me and my account would have gone to another banking institution.
Much thanks to Jasmine for her help and patience.

I called to inquire about an account…

I called to inquire about an account and was given the most amazing treatment that I've ever received in my life from a banker. Her name is April and she did a remarkable job gave me all kinds of great information that my current banks that I banquet have not given me she's extremely educated about what she does and about how to benefit customers and I just wanted to take the time to tell everyone that she was remarkable and that Comerica is a great bank and I will definitely be happy to Bank here for the rest of my life. Thanks again April you did a great job.

I have been a customer at Comerica…

I have been a customer at Comerica since approximately 1980 for my personal and business accounts. I needed to transfer money from one account to another so I wrote a check to myself and deposited it . Instead of transferring MY MONEY from one account to the other, THEY PUT A 2 DAY HOLD ON IT! I called and was told it was at their discretion to do this.
It will be at my discretion to dump them.
It’s this kind of “service” that caused them to get sold to Fifth Third at a very low price.

Bad experience with the Trust department

I've had a modest size trust with Comerica's Trust arm for three years. Required tax forms have been six months late each year. Quarterly statements are now running three months behind. Quarterly payments from my Trust stopped coming (they have since been caught back up after I went over my Advisor's head). My Advisor's usual answer is "we are so sorry" and "we're working on it". I'd get another trust manager if I could. This has been a constant battle

Very poor communication with clients. Fees are also pretty high

If I could give ZERO stars I would

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I was offered a job with Comerica (currently in active litigation with the CFPB) on 9/8. Their third party background check vendor provided an incomplete report with false information and refused to verify my undergraduate diploma. Debra Jefferson (an employee of Comerica) called me on 9/17 and accused me of lying on my application regarding my educational background which is almost 30 years old and I’ve successfully passed numerous FBI checks in my decades long career in Legal and Corporate Governance. Debra demanded I address the “discrepancies” with BIG (the background check vendor) directly. I contacted BIG and was informed my file was closed and to send any additional documentation to Comerica directly. Over the course of 10 days, I sent all of my educational documentation to Debra and her colleague Stacia McCloskey 6 times and never got a response. Today a woman named Cindy Aguilar called me and informed me that because I had lied on my application, which is categorically untrue, my employment offer was being immediately rescinded. I will note that I was not asked to apply for the role with Comerica until after I received an offer of employment and informed Stacia that I have an ADA arthritis disease. I sent two letters from my healthcare providers requesting medical accommodations which were COMPLETELY IGNORED. Then 10 days passed after repeated efforts to provide my educational documentation which were ALL ignored. And today I was called a liar by Ms. Aguilar and the proffered role was yanked from me. I will note that the current lawsuit filed by the CFPB against Comerica cites unethical treatment of persons with disabilities, and I am one of those people. I am seeking lost wages. I truthfully provided everything that was requested of me. I’ve worked in Legal for more than 25 years and have always been held to a higher standard than other professions. I’ve also worked abroad which requires very robust background checks. The fact that BIG couldn’t or wouldn’t verify my 30 year old education and Comerica rescinded an employment offer over it is gross negligence and wholly unethical to any applicant, especially one with an ADA protected illness. This kind of horrific conduct cannot be condoned.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointed – Comerica Sided with Merchant Over Their Own Customer

I’m beyond disappointed with how Comerica Bank handled a recent disputed charge. Despite being a loyal customer for over 35 years, they chose to side with the merchant — completely disregarding the evidence I provided showing the charge was unauthorized and the service was not delivered as promised.

After decades of banking with Comerica, I expected better. This experience made it painfully clear that customer loyalty means nothing to them when it really counts. I trusted them to protect my interests, but instead, they left me out to dry.

If you’re considering banking with Comerica, think twice. When it matters most, they may not stand with you — even after a lifetime of doing business together.

I liked them okay until there was a claim. The service was slow. Calls, text messages and emails were rarely returned. The car rental was insufficient.
Yes, premiums are low. But that’s not worth much when you need help within a reasonable amount of time.

I wanted to pay off the outstanding…

I wanted to pay off the outstanding amount on my HELOC. I called and asked for that figure and I sent in the required money. A month later I was looking at my statement and it showed over $1,000 being owed. I called and found out they gave me the wrong amount. So I had to call back 4 times to get someone to give the new payoff amount and then get someone to transfer the money. Now the HELOC account shows i have overpaid by $1.67. Incompetent buffoons.

I opened up a bank account and…

I opened up a bank account and deposited some money I was told by Comerica Bank that my account was flagged for fraudulent activity because I deposited a large amount of money nobody can tell me when they're going to unfreeze my account I can't return the money and every time I call to talk to someone they tell me the agent handling my case is not available. The previous week I was going to start a job but I couldn't because I didn't have a car and I was going to use the funds in the account to get a car so basically they just cost me a job trying to review some money to mine not theirs but when I did talk to them they cited some policy and told me once my money hits their bank accounts it's just as much their money as it is mine it's here I am over a week later and I still can't touch my money and they can't tell me when I will be able to I've never experienced anything so frustrating in my life .

Never had a problem until recently

Never had a problem until recently. They all of the sudden froze my account for no apparent reason, then asked me to email my current DL. I went to the DMV got my card and emailed it to them. Still no straight answer for the freeze. They received my DL, stated they unfrozen my account and good to go. Btw every time I called it was over a two hour hold. Tried to get an uber… declined….Lyft….declined….tried to order groceries through Amazon… declined… Meier… declined. I live in a nursing home temporarily and in need of these things and if you ever had nursing home food you’d understand. Called the Direct Express, on hold forever and when they finally answered they stated they froze my card again and sent a new one.WTF!! They said all the transactions I was trying to make were fraudulent according to their banks criteria, Comerica. So no ride, no food, no can of pop out of the vending machine. I did my homework before hand these people are in millions of dollars in a pickle. Try google, facebook, ticktock, it’s viral. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. So far all these merchants will absolutely not accept this card. There you go. Let’s see how my visit to the social security office works out. My husband was a Vietnam veteran and my daughter works for the federal government. Let’s see how this rolls.

As a small business owner

As a small business owner, my experience with Comerica Bank has been absolutely terrible. They are ravaging my account with constant nickel-and-dime fees that add up to hundreds of dollars in banking fees every month. It’s outrageous and completely unacceptable. On top of that, their customer service is unhelpful, their technology is outdated, and the overall experience has been the worst I’ve ever had with a bank. If you’re considering Comerica, stay far away! They are fee mongers and will bleed your business dry. I can’t leave them fast enough. Avoid at all costs!

Need to Fix their ATMs

I have been to several of the branch locations in Dallas but mostly the Abrams Branch and Lochwood Branch. Their ATMs are terrible. The functions on them (Withdraw, Deposit, etc.) do not recognize finger touches until you draw your finger across every possible spot on the "button" you're trying to press. I've complained multiple times. I'm complaining again because my most recent attempt was to process a deposit at the ATM. It would not work no matter how many times I touched virtually every spot of the necessary "buttons". I went through the drive through and complained to the teller and her response was that this was the first they've ever heard of it... It's been ages since the ATMS were replaced and the issues have existed ever since so I just don't believe others have not complained as well.

Useless Bank, Stay Away!

This review is specifically about the N. Garland, TX branch. The employees at this branch are lazy, incompetent and unable to use their brains. The manager (Sac) is the worst offender - he's arrogant, unhelpful and seems incapable of understanding how banking works. I've given this branch many opportunities and finally decided to close my accounts and move elsewhere.
1. Tellers are more interested in finishing their conversations that helping customers at the drive thru or in the actual branch.
2. They tried to sell me a Home Equity Loan as a solution to an excessive hold they put on a check from another bank.
3. Sac uses "bank policy" as the excuse for his unwillingness to be helpful and seemed pleased that I was taking my business elsewhere and a direct result of his behavior.

Absolute worst banking experience I've…

Absolute worst banking experience I've ever had. I have a HELOC with them and caught them actually adding charges on my account. It was a few months before I realized they were not my charges, the bank was just randomly adding them in. When I disputed they reversed them but only back a few months because they said that was their policy. Today I caught them charging an "annual assessment fee" twice in the same month. Also, they required me to set up a checking account to make direct payment from and charge me $22 month for the account. Ridiculous fees, dishonest, terrible.

DISASTER; do NOT bank with this bank, NO WAY!

This bank is not worth used basic toilet paper! That's right! Why not? OK! I opened a bank account with this crappy establishment because its ATM dispenses $50s and $100s; not all those dam $20s. Not the best reason to open an account. The Branch where I opened the account, has awesome personnel. 👏 Yes. When I deposited $5,500.00 in a local area, state Check within 72 hours the funds were available. Due to snow almost four (4) weeks later, I went to a Branch closer to my residence, big mistake. The lady that serviced me, made me feel like a criminal. She wouldn't accept my Department Of Homeland Security ID (idiot...moron) so I decided to go my Branch. She suddenly acquiesced to the ID. She then placed a 10-days hold on the Check. When I informed her that when I initially opened the account no hold was required. She retorted, "The personnel did not follow bank procedure." OK... after 10 business-days, the funds were finally available. I walked into a Branch and closed the account.
Why?
i.) When I attempted to Zell the money to my main ... regular bank the morning of the 10th-Day... the transaction was declined and I was requested Online to goto a Branch to authenticate. I did so by closing the account.
ii.) The check I gave them as deposit, cleared the local bank across the street from Comerica within 48-hrs; yet I had no access to my funds. We are in 2024. When Zell and Venmo and PayPal and Western Union and MoneyGram can all do INSTANT MONEY in seconds ... why is Comerica Bank NOT releasing my funds into my account within a few days; 48 hrs tops? Because Comerica used my funds to prop up its sinking ship stock. This is why banks are being abandoned. The American customer is disgusted with the horrific banking tactics to use our money and not be there for us when we require basic service. Every excuse is... "ohhh it's for security; or systems were down; or that person is new or some BS." How long are these banks gonna beat those dead horse and not pay in spades by losing customers? Any adult does NOT require anyone to tell them how and when to S_ _ T!
AVOID this BANK! Do NOT use this BANK!

90 days to review that they never gave me my money

I attempted to make a withdrawal of my funds from an ATM when I got a "Transaction Timed Out" message, however, when I got home, the message on the website was that the withdrawals had been made!

I called them the following day where I spent about 2 hours because I kept getting disconnected three times when I my call was "being transferred"!

I finally got some sort of message and was told that they would send me an e-mail asking for information and that after that it would take 45 to 90 DAYS to look into the matter.

Horrible bank, horrible support, horrible system. Stay as far away as you can!!!!
