Casino besides bluefinsbar is the most rigged bullshit I have ever witnessed Swedish scam maschines all linked together and the blackjack dealer is the biggest unfriendliest woman in the world. U can’t win no matter wat I know it’s casino but this is next level scam!! Never again!

Not Dog-Friendly

Not Dog-Friendly: A Disappointing Experience for Pet Owners

I recently travelled on the Color Line ferry from Norway to Denmark and was deeply disappointed with the lack of consideration for dog owners. This ferry line appears to prioritize smokers over pet owners, which was evident throughout the journey.

Dog Owners Beware

If you have a dog, avoid this ferry line. Unlike other ferries where you can keep your dog with you on the outdoor deck if you don't want to leave them in a cage or car, Color Line offers no such accommodations. There was no designated area for dogs to urinate and no sheltered places for owners to sit with their dogs. Meanwhile, there were plenty of shelters for smokers.

Compared to the Fjord Line

The ticket price for Color Line was almost twice as expensive as Fjord Line, yet the latter provided a far superior experience. Fjord Line offered heated areas with couches and special spots for dogs to relieve themselves. This stark contrast in service was quite disappointing.

Poor Customer Service

To address my concerns, I approached the reception to get an email address for customer service. The staff member, an older man with stars on his uniform, was incredibly rude. He told me to leave the area immediately because I had my dog with me. While I understand rules are rules, his manner was abrupt and unprofessional.

As I tried to explain my situation and apologize, he started petting my dog without permission. When I asked my dog to come to me, the staff member became visibly angry, cut me off mid-sentence, and stormed off without another word. Such stubborn and unprofessional behaviour is unacceptable, especially in a customer-facing role.

Conclusion

This experience was the worst I’ve had on a ferry, and I will never use Color Line again. Other dog owners I met on the ferry shared similar sentiments. If you are a dog owner, I strongly recommend avoiding Color Line and opting for more pet-friendly alternatives like Fjord Line.

Color Line needs to seriously reconsider their policies and training for dealing with pet owners to avoid such negative experiences in the future.

After reading bad reviews I was worried

After reading bad reviews I was expecting trouble when weather meant my ferry was cancelled and I needed to cancel. Rang them and there was zero issues they were completely fine with it. Can’t complain got a full refund.

Bad service and arrogant receptionist

Bad service and arrogant receptionist.
In a ferry from Oslo to Kiel today on 30 July. First we had to wait for over 45min after the announced check-in time to enter our room due to delay in the preps. No apologies. Then, although thier website said all in the minibar is included in the price, but the fridge was empty. Did not expect much, but maybe a bottle of water at least. Called the reception, and was told that he is sending someone. After one hr of nothing, I called again, this time to be told by the same receptionist that "Cheaper rooms do not get anything In the minibar, that is why no one is coming." ...The way he said was very uncourteous. If he told me one hour ago siImply that the service is not provided, I would have just gone to the cafe myself to buy a bottle of water. Besides, why was it listed in the website if it is not available in the first place?

How to I pay 2 Euros

It seems rediculous that I cannot get through to customer service to pay 2 Euros. The company sent bank transfer details but banks have a min £10 transaction. Ahhhhhhhhh. I cannot hold on a line for hours and hours to pay such a small bill. Surely today there must be better service? The customer service is painful.

Cancellations and no active information what so ever

Absolutely no functioning customer service when needed.
Colorline cancelled our booking Hirtshals-Kristiansand (and back) one week prior to departure without giving a reason. They changed both trips to Larvik. I presume they can sell more tickets to Larvik.
We changed our booking to Hirtshals-Kristiansand on another day on the outgoing trip by waiting 2 hours on the phone to their customer service WHICH IS ONLY OPEN mon-sat 9-15!
On the day of departure of our trip Hirtshals-Kristiansand (20:45) we get a text message at 15:45, that said (quote): "the trip is cancelled due to weather. Your booking has changed to the first available departure the next day at ? o'clock. Further information will follow". Absolutely no further information followed the initial cancellation.
Thank you, Colorline for leaving med with three children in North Jutland with no indication of the time of my rebooking or what is generally happening what so ever. And you cannot call Colorline! They do not answer the phone after 15:00.
We only found out, that we actually had a rebooking, when we received a text around 22.30 with a warning, that the ferry at 8:00 the next day was delayed to 10:45. At that point we could see a new travel documents on our account on the colorline website.
WHY DO THEY NOT AT LEAST SEND SMS's OR MAILS WITH REBOOKINGS?
WHY DO COLORLINE CUSTOMERS NOT HAVE ANY OPTIONS OF CONTACTING THE COMPANY AFTER 15:00 AND ON WEEKENDS?
Normal companies actively inform their customers about rebookings and maybe even give their customers a chance to influence rebookings via a phone service or a website with self service functionality.

I understand, that a ferry company sometimes has to cancel departures due to weather. That is fine. Also, the Superspeed ferries are nice and very efficient. All actual Colorline employees that we have met at the ferry terminals and on the ferries are nice, helpful and deliver a very nice customer experience.
I do not understand, however, how a company legally can maintain such abysmal rebooking system.

My boat was cancelled one week before…

My boat was cancelled one week before the trip without a good reason. I got a refund (but this was not offered in the email, I needed to wait 40min for getting through on the phone), but lost the money on the ongoing trains - so the trip got very expensive also as flights prices are high when booking so short notice.

Horrible check-in staff at Larvik

Boat ride was okay, but the check-in staff at Larvik was unbelievably rude, arrogant and ignorant.
I was travelling back to Denmark from Larvik when one of the check-in lady refused to let me in due to not having a negative covid test. The rules clearly state that Danish residents travelling from Norway to Denmark do NOT need any test or any valid reason to travel. After I told her that it is not required by law to have any test she yelled at me "YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THE RULES". Then she completely ignored me while I tried telling her for a long time that this is not the rule and she cannot deny me entry to my home country. Finally another staff member came out and checked my papers and said all is fine and let me in.

@Colorline: Where do you find these incompetent, arrogant, rude employees? People expect a basic human interaction for this amount of money; instead I got an arrogant lady sitting behind a check-in desk imagining she is border police...

Worst custemer plattform ever.

The boat trip was okay, but the phone custemer plattform is beyond scary! Cant change ticket depaeture online, and only place ypu can change with you so called flex ticket is calling them. And that takes over 5 hours in que. Still havent heard from them in the so called call you back.

Absurdly poor customer service!

Colorline cancelled our trip from Larvik to Hirtshals with only a few hours notice, through a message with no helpful information whatsoever. While it is true that they cannot control the weather, how they handle the situation certainly reflect the company as a whole! Although we called colorline moments after we received the message of cancellation, we still faced a several hours long phone queue with no response other than the reoccuring option to have them call you back (which experience tells me that they will not do). When we, after hours of uncertainty, finally got through to an actual person, we were met with an option of changing our trip to a similar (although delayed) departure the day after. However, they would make no promise that we would be able to leave on tomorrow’s departure either. Nor would they compensate us for the inconvenience or pay for accomodations in Larvik although we had traveled many hours to get there and had no options for lodgings.

How a company with such poor customer service have ever managed to stay afloat is beyond me. This has been my first and last voyage with the company and I shall make sure to warn everyone I know to stat away from Colorline in the future!
