We were a group of seven for a company dinner at Høst, including two guests visiting from overseas. This was not our first time at Høst. We have held several company dinners here and always left with a positive impression. This evening was the worst service experience any of us has had at a restaurant.

The food was, as always, very good. The problem was the service, and especially the final ten minutes.

Service was inconsistent throughout. Staff interrupted the table repeatedly, and one server told us he had been there only two days and could not identify the wine he was pouring.

Poor service alone would have been forgivable. What happened next was not. We had two and a half hours at the table, which should be enough for a five-course dinner with wine pairing. But the kitchen paced the courses so slowly that the main course arrived only at 19:25 and dessert was not served until 20:02. The restaurant controlled the timing, then told us to pay and leave the moment dessert hit the table. Staff returned four times within ten minutes to press us to leave while guests were still eating. The waiter in charge told one guest to take their dessert and eat it somewhere else. The restaurant had originally offered us a full package that would have included an aperitif and coffee as well — if the kitchen could not serve five courses in time, that package could never have worked. At a high-end restaurant, after a five-course dinner, that is not acceptable.

We were outside by 20:12, ten minutes after dessert had been served. From the street, we could see our table being cleared and rearranged, while at least one large nearby table sat empty. There was no operational reason for the urgency.

A polite heads-up would have been reasonable, and we would have accommodated it. Instead, the manner was rushed and embarrassing, particularly in a professional context with international guests for whom this was their first evening in Copenhagen.

We later found a Google review posted the same day describing the same issue, being told to leave during dessert. That makes this feel less like a one-off mistake and more like a pattern.

We were at Vespa celebrating my daughter's birthday and had the 'mama's table' group menu. The food was great and as well as the service.

Excellent evening for colleagues. They highly complimented the food and service. Great service can be hard to find, but you have perfected the perfect meal with with perfect atmosphere. Great job, keep it up

I’m from Scotland and first time in Denmark and the food give my pallet new bursts of flavour I had never discovered before so was an excellent experience too have and it didn’t feel too pricy and the drinks were made just how I liked them strong and tasteful .

The staff where amazing and explained the food I was about to eat very well apart from one person that just didn’t explain and they felt like they were uncomfortable to serve me but apart from that it’s a experience I highly recommend and the atmosphere and decor of the place was great . Thank you very much for the experience

We spent a wonderful evening at Høst...loved the concept and the laid-back atmosphere of the place. The food was simply delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was very friendly, attentive and efficient. We can highly recommend it

The complete menu deal is great as you can try delicious plates for an affordable price.
If you like seafood, mussels are a must.

Excellent food and fantastic service. The juice option for drinks is a very good addition and worked well.

We had an excellent meal at Vespa, and the service was also excellent. However we were charged for what was very obviously tap water in a fancy bottle. Consequently we won't be going back there.

We went to Vaekst on a special occasion during our trip to Copenhagen. The space was very cozy and unpretentious while offering top quality dinner experience. We each had 3 course dinner menu with wine pairing, where mine had tenderloin and cheese instead of the hake and the dessert. All of the courses were spectacular. With the appetizers and everything, we actually got more than 3 courses. For the main course, all I can say is that I never had a better tenderloin in my life and my partner loved the fried hake. The pairings were done excellently and we loved the professional friendliness of the staff! Definitely recommended.

Had a great meal at Delphine, really beautiful restaurant and yummy , fresh food with a couple of salad / veg options and one vegan grill option.

The combination and strength of flavors was awesome and the presentation of every dish was impeccable!
Service was always timely and available when needed but with enough space for us to feel like we still had our own space. A perfect balance. Thank you!

Scarpetta Islands Brygge: Great experience, fantastic food, super service! At first we were a bit intimidated because we wanted to bring our 2-year-old also, but it was no problem at all, and they had even provided a baby-seat and a special "Winnie the Pooh"-styled menu-card for the child!

And we were seated a bit away from the "normal" guests, so the child did not disturb the others so much, which was very considerate!

Every single meal tasted amazing! The prices also reflects this of course, but it wasn't crazy-expensive (compared to similar places, not to mention the delicious taste and high quality), so it'd definitely recommend this experience for those who can afford it! :)

I recently visited the restaurant Høst in Copenhagen and had a fantastic experience. Despite the busy atmosphere, the restaurant had a calm and cozy feel to it. We were seated right by the kitchen, but it didn't bother us at all. We ordered the 3-course meal, but were pleasantly surprised with 2 or 3 extra small dishes. The food was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the accompanying drinks. The timing of each course was spot on, and the staff was attentive in clearing the dishes as soon as we finished. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience!
