False advertising

False advertising, promising everything. We bought the package as an investment because they said if anything changed in our circumstances, they will buy it back. Lies! When we wanted to sell the package they said we have to sell it ourselves. Now we pay something for years what we don’t even use. Liars! They lie to you to sell the packages, they get money but the most unethical, unfair, rat company.

One of the worse company to keep you dark with false promises
I am fed up with their service and keep messing around
I don't advice to book you and you friend &family dream holidays
Think twice make any decision regarding holiday and their false promises

They are terrible

They are terrible. Don’t trust them.
No communication whatsoever.
No transparency.
Leased my property through them for years and the return was ridiculous.
0.15% a month.
Don’t let them handle your investment.

I was sold a trial membership in 2019…

I was sold a trial membership in 2019 just before covid and spent over 5k, worst mistake i have ever made. Never any availability during term time, low grade accommodation thats if you do get lucky to get availability, worst experience ever. Plss pls do not sign up for anything with this company. Trust me you’ll regret your decision later.

I previously reviewed this company back in 2020, when the service was actually very good. It appears that they have undergone a number of changes and I'm not sure what has happened to their customer service but it has left much to be desired. Plus I was given a complimentary week which they then redacted and the communication around why was extremely poor.
I have a trial membership, which I've used once in Austria and once in Cornwall. Although the resorts were nice, neither could be described as luxury (as CLC world was sold to us and the reason we signed up). For the amount of money they want for their memberships, It's definitely not worth it.
To make matters worse, I've had such rubbish customer service, where it seems the CLC reservation team can barely be bothered to answer your queries and at times have been very rude and abrupt. It's really difficult finding availability, even when booking months in advance and quite frankly I agree with a lot of the other reviews - This feels like a massive scam.
They draw you in with their talk of luxury holidays in these beautiful resorts but in honesty, I've stayed at much nicer hotels for a fraction of the cost and gotten a lot more. Maybe it works out as good value for for money for families with children but definitely not for couples. Would I recommend CLC World for LUXURY holidays - definitely not. It's been extremely disappointing, and I now feel completely mis sold.

DO NOT USE CLC!

It’s a scam! I’m a trial member and after paying over 5 k for 4 weeks of accommodation I was able to only use 1 which was Cornwall. There’s never any availability anywhere else. Do not bother paying for it as you won’t be able to book any destination you’d like to go to, they will offer you to go places they want to get rid of and dates that are not suitable for you which will mean you won’t be able to go and they keep all your money! Waste of time

Trial Memberships Mis sold

Our experience is similar to others who bought the Trial Membership. As the timeshare sales division of the business is in liquidation there is no incentive for CLC to fulfil obligations to trial members (who they would have previously tried to upsell to timeshare) . Consequently there is next to no availability making it virtually impossible to use the weeks that were bought as part of the Trial Membership. The Trial Membership was totally mis sold. The range of accommodation & locations has been significantly reduced and availability at the few resorts still being offered is hugely restricted. When we tried to use weeks last year we were offered only 2 options one of which was somewhere we didn’t want to go and would have meant travelling on Christmas Day !!! It’s seems the CLC tactic is to provide totally unsuitable options so that Trial Members are forced to let their membership lapse without using the weeks that they paid for. We have 4 weeks to use by end of December 2024. At the moment we are being offered no acceptable options to use them .

Do not Trust these people - its a Con

I am a trail member and i had booked my last two weeks in Kusadasi for this May and i booked my flights for this at a personal cost of over £800, I received an email to say that they have cancelled my booking and they could re book me in a different hotel that is compulsory AI at an additional cost of £1540 for 2 of us. The only other option was to go to Florida,Cornwall and or a Narrow Boat. Im disabled and not the youngest. The Customer Care was non existent and the people were rude and dismissive. They take your money and they really do not care. Be warned Steer well clear of this company - Rip Off Merchants

Tales of a trial member

I am a trial member and have been trying to get through on the phone to book some time away.
They say press 1 for call back but never call you back. I waited 1.5 hrs on the phone and never got through. You literally have to take what's left when and if you get through.
Don't waste your time and money. Awful customer service.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. Please don't get trapped into any membership specially the Trial one. Very difficult to book any holidays, 1-2 hours waiting time to call for booking. Don't have access to book online. They say plan 2-3 years ahead.

Terrible rip off company

Terrible rip off company. I bought a 15k trial membership in 2018. If you can even get hold of reservations most places will be booked closed or ‘not available for exchange’. Have emailed reservations asked for callbacks and held for 30 mins but they basically will ignore you once they have your money

Absolutely dissatisfied,disappointed

Absolutely disgusting, they promised a superb holiday accommodations when we purchased the membership which supposed to be 5* accommodation and all we get is 3* accommodation full of bugs and issue on all their resorts. Every time we go there are so many problems that are not solved and has ruined our holiday. Very disappointing.

We took our trial membership in…

We took our trial membership in 2019.The only holiday I could book was the compliment one they gave the first time. I had 5 holidays. Every time I tried calling they are fully booked specially in Europe. I learnt my lesson and wi take legal zction for a refund. I will not recommend even for my enemy to join this company. I am pretty sure they will soon go bankruptcy

A big trap!

I agree with all negative comments from other unhappy customers. CLC have good salesman who can sell their holiday packages but their customer service is very poor. I am not commenting anymore as others have highlighted most of the points I wanted to provide here.

Also you will notice that people who have given a good review are the only ones who have been invited to give review. So, I am assuming they have brain washed them just before giving their reviews.

I would not recommend them at all!

Don’t fall for the sales pitch……

We signed up to the trial package and found it shocking. When we met with th rep our whole thought process based on figures he showed us was to take kids to Florida at the start of the 3 year trial and again at the end. It was for this reason only that we joined up.
But……. When it comes to booking the trial people can only book inside a year from travel date. This means the members on other packages have already used up the spaces. So Florida actually was never a possibility for us. We tried to book canal boat holidays again to be told all slots have gone to those who can book longer than a year in advance. So effectively other than a ski holiday all the other holidays we have booked or will book are just to use up our entitlement. They are not holidays that we actually want. So in essence massively missold the package. I tried to book Mexico last week for two weeks. But because the second week was longer than a year away I had to book one week and then wait a week to see if I can book the second. It’s an absolute shambles.

Signed up for a trial membership

Signed up for a trial membership, unable to book the holiday that we want anywhere in Europe. Shame; if you need to go in or around school holidays, forget it.

I have taken legal advice and we have a strong case to sue for a refund. If anybody would like to join me and use the same solicitor to share the cost please contact me on 07967 621 455

If we have identified you correctly through your name and telephone contact detail, then we would refute your comments as untrue and not fact based.
Our records are showing that you purchased the Trial Membership in late 2019, a holiday week product which contains 5 weeks of holidays to be taken over a 36-month period.
We note that you have taken 2 weeks in Turkey in July 2022 and have also booked and then cancelled a further 4 weeks, two weeks for August 2022 in Costa del Sol and two weeks for July 2024 in Tenerife.
You also have a pending waitlist request for a further week in July 2024.
Please do contact our Club La Costa Members Services department who will be able to support further your holiday requests or holiday product queries.

URGENT HELP NEEDED!

We signed up with this company around 2019, we have never been able to book any holidays, all unavailable. Hitachi the finance company is taking money from our account for free, we were badly pressured into buying this time share in spain when they hard hit us with their non stop selling for over 7 hrs in an office, they trap you in that office and won't let you leave until they have confuse you , lie to you about all the saving you can make if you sign up and if your vulnerable you will like we did. I'm getting help from a solicitor and the financial ombudsman service who have been fighting our case for over 1 year and still no progress. If someone is reading this please help us as the cost of living crisis is making us suffer in silence.

What an absolute bunch of crooks and…

What an absolute bunch of crooks and Liars
Trial Membership since 2020 took the 1 wk "prize holiday" and not been able to book anything since!
I am a Teacher and am legally obliged to have my 3 children in school during term time.
CLC told us "100`s of our members are Teachers...You will never have a problem booking!!"...Lie
No availability anywhere in Europe until October...Lie
(I can go to lots of websites and book CLC properties)
You can go to Mexico...NOT A LIE but its Mandatory All-Inclusive and will cost £8K on top of what you have already paid!
You can use Interval international its one of our companies!...LIE (no longer available to Trial memberships)
You can just make a quick easy call and friendly staff will sort everything for you...LIE...number dosen`t work anymore and its almost impossible to get through to anyone.
Lots of availability...LIE..this might be ok if we were retired and ok with Holidays NOV-MARCH.
We have lost over 5K to this company! please stay away!
