AVOID THIS COMPANY IF POSSIBLE!!! The instruction of meeting point was not clear and NO SIGNAGE to direct people where to meet especially for tourist which can be confusing. We were half an hour early waiting until 10am (booking time) we saw a group of people led by the City Wonder tour guide walked passed to the Colosseum (literally at the metro and have not crossed the road to the entrance yet), the tour guide asked us to meet the person at the right spot. Then we were told we are too late to join the tour and they cannot do anything about it! It was just less than 5 minutes ago the tour left and they would be have been still not in the queue yet. They refused to give us the tickets which we paid so much and OVERPRICED so we can enter ourselves without joining the tour. It was not a peak season and the queue was not long at all and we can go into Colosseum ourselves if they gave us the tickets. All they did was NTH and refused to refund and the money was thrown into the sea just like that just because we waited at wrong spot and finally met them in less than 5 minutes! It was our 1st day of our holiday and it RUINED the whole day mood with poor service. DONT WORRY buying tickets from them, just buy online and a lot cheaper and you get to hold your tickets!!

Be aware. City Wonders is a fraudulent company. They scammed us. We booked Their Pompeii and Positano Tour, 1 month before arriving in Rome. We emailed them the first day when we booked that we are only taking this tour for Positano and wondering how much free time we would have there. They replied and said 2:30 hours of free time.

This company took our money $588.00 for 2 adult and 2 children , took us to Pompeii and then on the way to Positano, 10 miles away, they turned back and said, because it was traffic earlier and we were behind schedule, they decided not to go to Positano, JUST LIKE THAT ! they turned back and said no worries, we will offer refund. After 30 emails back and forth , they said we can only offer 30% refund and asked us NOT to contact them anymore and instead reach out to Expedia for refund. When we talked to expedia, they informed us, City Wonders did not even autorized any refund. When Expedia reach out to them they did not even answer there phones.

This company is a complete fraud. They are scammers and because they know you are traveling from other places, you can not legally challenge them, so they do whatever they want with no refund. To this day, we have not recieved any refund they offered ( which was not even fair ).

They use Positano Name and pictures in their tour and then do not take people there. We checked other reviews and believe me, there are many other people who experienced the same thing with this company.

They are total fraud. STAY AWAY FROM THIS TOUR COMPANY.

If I could give zero star, I would definitely rate it that way. We were late for 5 minutes for one of the tour and they were not even hesitate to help us to accommodate in the tour. They gave our tickets without further help and left us alone although we were there. The funniest part was we had tour other day and we had to wait more than 15 minutes for other travellers to join. We were really frustrated of what was happened and it did negatively affected our trip. The worse experience we have ever had in our life.
Never recommend the city wonder in rome as there is no any support or sympathy.

This tour is well worth doing, the meeting point was very easy to find and our tour guide Elly was there ready to greet us. Elly was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely informative! The glass blowing demonstration at Murano Island was amazing, incredible to see these craftsman at work. Burano Island is so pretty with all the different coloured buildings. Would highly recommend this tour and if your guide is Elly, you are very fortunate!

Elisa was a great tour guide. I appreciated her enthusiasm and passion for the sights we were seeing. I think overall it was very organized and a good experience.

HUGE SCAM DONT GO HERE. They dont actually have or buy tickets for you, they only give you their fake internally created tickets, so if lets say the guide is an a-@!% (WHICH OURS WAS, OUR ONLY TWO INTERACTIONS WAS HER YELLING AT US) and you just want to enjoy the museum or attraction yourself, thats not an option. My guess is they pay a flat rate to the museums and then they can overbook and have as many as 20+ people with no microphones or anything. Very rude staff, we were at the Vatican entrance where there are thousands of people, if it happens you somehow dont see their little mini flag with no flashy colors, its over. We luckily ran into them prior to entry to any of the museums or checkpoints (basically just the other side of the sidewalk of their "meeting point") and the only thing we got was a furious yell to go "meet with our group at the mtg point" which must have been them cuz it was the same time and spot as on the email. Because they 3rd party everything, after 20 minutes on hold you get someone on the phone with no actual connection or way to help you with information about your tour (my guess is its just a call center with preset answers to anything, and its the same if youre calling about an issue for your tour in Dublin or Rome, its the same for them) they won't refund or reschedule or at least give you someone directly from the agency to talk to, nothing. I've never paid so much for such a horrible service and treatment

Misleading as you are not paying for missing the queue at Eiffel Tower You gather then walk to join the regular queue. Tickets are not pre purchased to avoid customers waiting. Ticket prices at the booth are vastly cheaper than the tour price even after you factor in paying for a guide. We were unable to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower due to volume. Ironically, we would have made the top if we had not wasted time waiting for the tour group to assemble ! Refund is disproportionate to the cost and the customer service email does not listen to rationale. Avoid using. We have learned our lesson.

Anais gave a wonderful skip-the-line tour of the Louvre today to our group of 4 plus 7 others. She was knowledgeable, informative, and moved us along so we could see many of the important works in the Louvre. That Museum can be so overwhelming but we saw a lot in only 3 hours. She was also very attentive the different members of the group and worked hard to make sure we all stayed relatively together. Four thumbs up!

Absolutely disappointing experience. We booked a tour to Pompeii from Rome and we barely spent 80 min in the archaeological site. The trip is supposed to be focused on the visit to Pompeii, however you actually waste more time near Vesuvius where you might be lucky (if the weather is favourable) to have a glimpse of the ruins from there. You don't really get to climb to the top of the volcano either, as they deliberately want you to believe before booking the trip.

Once you finally get to Pompeii, a fantastic archaeological site where you could spend hours, the local guide was given the instructions to bring us back to the bus in less than 90 min. The local guide was lovely and tried his best after being allowed such short time to show us around. The whole thing was so rushed that there was no chance to enjoy it.

If you're really interested in exploring this wonderful site, avoid a tour with them.

I booked a tour for Buckingham Palace and Changing of Guards with guide but NO GUIDE ONLY ENTRANCE TICKET!

YOU CAN JUST BUY DIRECTLY FROM BUCKINGHAM PALACE WHICH IS ONLY 30 POUNDS EACH PERSON!!! I PAID 68 POUNDS FOR NOTHING!

Very terrible! So disappointing with my first trip to London and City Wonders.

Victoire was an excellent guide through the Paris quarries and catacombs.

My wife and I did the 3 hour Louvre Tour with Florence on Thursday 14th Sept. It was very well worth having the tour as Florence picked out many of the most important treasures for us to enjoy, most of which we would probably have walked past and not fully appreciated had it not been for our guide. She gave extremely interesting background information to each one off the exhibits, which really brought them to life and clearly highlighted the reasons why each was an important and iconic masterpiece. It was clear that Florence has a passion and love for the treasures. She invited questions at each stage and answered with great knowledge and authority.
We left feeling that we had a good idea of the overall layout of the museum and the great privilege of having seen and appreciated the significance of many wonderful iconic masterpieces.
We thoroughly recommend this tour and if your guide is Florence then you are in for a great experience

I really enjoyed the walking tour with guide David before entry into Churchill’s War Rooms. Lots of information about Winston Churchill’s life and story and he delivered this in a fun and interesting way. A really good Tour but not perfect as he mentioned West Ham United - that’s the only thing I’d Hammer him for. Thank you for the fantastic tour - a very enjoyable afternoon!

Went on a day trip with my boys and Enrica, Viv & Gianni to Pompeii & Positano. To say it was the best day of our trip was an understatement. We had two weeks in Rome and only negative experiences with Italians and overcharging etc before this day.
We met the team and they just made everyone so welcome. Enrica was a breath of fresh air and such a lovely woman, great craic and such a positive person and so interested in everyone. I am so happy we met them. Such a great experience I’m only annoyed I didn’t book all my tours with Enrica & team.
Thank you all for such a lovely day and restoring my love for everything Italian. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

Our tour guide David was great, very welcoming, full of information and included the children. He was also very funny and kept everyone entertained and intrigued for whole tour.

Absolute scam. Paid £68 for a ticket to see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony and then a tour inside Buckingham Palace. Ticket was also supposed to be "skip the line" and no wait time to get in the palace. Firstly, I got there and someone on the City Wonders team was extremely rude when I asked for help to point out where to line up for registration. You don't see the Changing of the Guard at all. The ceremony took place while we were so far away, listening to our guide talk about Green Park instead. She didn't bring a flag, walked really fast through the crowds. Several people in our group complained to her about this. And finally, "skip the line"? We had to line up like everyone else to get into Buckingham Palace.

One of the worst experiences. Absolutely not what was advertised on their website. I really hope this review helps other people avoid a disappointing and expensive waste of time.

We arrived late for our tour and one of the guides kindly took us to try and catchup which we did fortunately, but they did say they would put us in aater group if not...... Carlos the group guide was really lovely and knowledgeable about all things Collesium and Palletine Hill. He was constantly looking for shady and less crowded places which was appreciated on the scorching heat of the day! Would highly recommend....

Our guide Daniel did an outstanding job guiding us to and through the island of Mont Saint Michel.Unfortunately the other guide ( we forgot her name) was hard to understand, because of her accent, but Daniel made up for it and provided useful information, not only about Mont Saint Michel, but about the entire region. We could spend approximately 3 hours on the island and visit the abbey in a perfect pace. The whole group had a good energy and we stuck together like a family. Our two drivers were friendly as well. Thank you Daniel en City wonders for providing us an unforgettable experience! Top notch!

They are unorganized. Do not provide you the ticket and some times are late. Some guides do not provide enough information. Others are knowledgeable but do not make it interesting and are monotonous. Too expensive and did not deliver what they promised.
