Car Leasing disaster- cheque lost!
We went in June together with all our completed paperwork to apply for a lease car under the social leasing system. We didn't hear for a couple of weeks and didn't have a response to emails, so we decided to just go back.
We then talked to the same employee who told us that our application had been successful, but that it could be until next March before we would actually get an electric Aircross. At that rdv we decided on the exactly what car we were going to order and then left him with a deposit of 1300€.
After that we again didn't hear for a few weeks and decided to again drive to Citroën. This time we were told that they had to let that employee go... Our paperwork couldn't be found, neither could our cheque.
So, we are back to square one and trying to find another dealer where we can apply for a car under the social leasing scheme is probably impossible. There are only so many cars available in a year and it's unlikely we will find something else now. I managed to cancel the cheque, but the whole procedure has been stressful and upsetting and a complete waste of time.
