Excellent customer service.

I recently posted a poor review which I now completely retract. I have since had 2 excellent customer experiences with Citizen Watches and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Brilliant communication and superbly quick service.

JEEZ WHAT ARE CITIZEN WATCH UK DOING AT SERVICE CENTRE…

jeez what are they doing at service centre, Wokingham. Berkshire RG412FS..... I THINK NOTHING. three times i have sent my watch back for repair due to the winder falls off when i pull it out to change the time/date. Three times i get it back and, i lie not to you, the bloody winder comes off, straight away when i attempt to change the date. How incompetent is that. Absolutely no way can they not understand the winder comes off every time, Do they just say that it is repaired and hope i will not notice the winder will fall off, Do Citizen really have a repair service at Wokingham. So annoyed and angry got my watch back today and could not believe it when the winder came off in between my fingers, no way have they done anything to the watch. Just waiting for someone to answer the phone and see what excuses this time. Watch ready for the bin, would not buy a Citizen watch ever again, people beware, just not worth the trouble.

I was bought there eco drive watch or…

I was bought there eco drive watch for Christmas £75,00 Argos. Nice looking watch but after only 4 month the winding button fell off and the watch stopped working. Customer service said it must have been abused or damaged, this is not the case. They refused to replace under guarantee. I will never buy from them again. Try Timex better watches for the money

My Eco-Drive watch has been a very sad purchase.

My Eco-Drive watch is the most unnecessarily complex and inaccurate watch I have ever owned. It is consistently 3 minutes adrift from the correct time, despite a return to the supplier, and proves impossible to reset. It Citizen had redoubled their efforts to produce a watch that was impossible to set, and inaccurate they could not have done better.

Would Rather Alienate a Loyal Customer Than Do The Right Thing

Purchased a Citizen Satellite Wave from a retailer in Japan for approximately $700 because Citizen never seems to want to sell the desirable watches in the USA. After having it for a while, still within the international warranty period, I noticed that the dial had what appeared to be white cotton lint embedded into the sloppy paint on the dial. Clearly this was a manufacturing defect. How else would lint get embedded into the paint? It had to have happened during the printing of the dial, either in Japan or in China. I sent the watch to the USA service center, which seemed more expedient than sending it to Japan. (I should have sent it to Japan). After weeks, I was told that the dial would have to be replaced and that it was on back order. I asked them if they could just replace the watch since it was obviously a manufacturing defect and that the watch didn't seem to hold a charge very long. They have refused to replace it. I have been exceedingly patient. Now they are blaming the COVID-19 shutdown. How a huge, extremely wealth company like Citizen would rather tick off a very loyal customer by sticking to the script rather than do the right thing and replace the watch, I will never know. All they would have to do is to contact Citizen Global in Japan and say "send this guy a replacement watch via FedEx" or something to that effect. And I'd be happy, they'd have me out of their hair, and I'd go on buying Citizen watches. Instead they have angered me so much that I will NEVER buy a Citizen watch again. They should be more interested in how that watch got out of the factory in the first place. Keep the damned thing and give me a new one. A $40 Timex or Casio doesn't leave the factory with messed up printing and cotton fibers embedded in the dial! Save your money, never buy a Citizen.

Quality eco drive technology

The quality of the eco drive technology is fantastic considering the reasonable prices. Lots of people may prefer a Swiss brand, but that tends to come at a much higher price. The UK service centre has responsive customer service and quality watch repairs completed in a good timescale.

Worthless guarantee and poor services.

I will never buy a citizen watch again. The watch was not working after 6 months and I took it to Markham Ontario and they told me that the issue I am having is not covered by the guarantee. I paid the invoice in advance and now It is already over one month and I still did not get my watch back. I wonder seeing so many bad reviews pertaining to the Citizen watch. rating; F for quality and services.

I was fortunate enough to save up by…

I was fortunate enough to save up by the Citizen Nighthawk chronograph You can kind of say it was my dream watch one that I needed for my list of watches. The first time I called citizen they were going to charge me to send me one link, which I think is ridiculous considering there a multi-billion-dollar company. Now the energy cell has died in the watch and they wanted me to pay for the shipping just give it to them, after some arguing and fighting they agreed to send me the shipping label. A multibillion-dollar company that makes high-end watches is going to charge people to ship their products back to them. When I spoke Miss Mary Gonzales ( her extension is 3840) and I asked her why they insist that customers pay the shipping she gave me some junk answer. I find this appalling that a company like citizen that makes millions and millions of dollars is making us the consumer pay to ship it back to them when are products are defective. They are refusing to let me speak to mr. Jeffrey Cohen the CEO of citizen. So therefore I will blast them on every media site. Their customer service is atrocious. Enclosing I'm going to say shame on you citizen shame on you

I wanted to share a positive experience…

I wanted to share a positive experience that I had with a watch repair that was done by the Citizen Service Center in Torrance, California. I purchased a Citizen automatic watch second hand from the original owner who purchased it from a Citizen AD in Italy just several months ago. I noticed that the seconds hand kept stopping even when the mainspring was fully wound.

This started happening over the course of 24 hours until the watch stopped completely. I filled out the Citizen Service Center paperwork online and then shipped the watch out at my expense via USPS Priority Mail.

I received an email from Citizen stating that they received the watch and within 10 days I was contacted by email stating that the watch was shipped back to me via UPS.

I received the watch today and it is working perfectly again. Citizen even included paperwork as to what they did to repair the watch.

I was impressed that they water pressure tested the watch and sent me the print out with the results. They replaced the movement and charged me nothing.

I read so many negative reviews about the Citizen Service Center that I wanted to share a positive experience that I had. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again. I only paid $11 for shipping, but that was much cheaper then trying to pay a watchmaker to repair the watch. Thanks Citizen for the professional after service care and for honoring your warranty.

Sincerely,

Rob

This is a real shame

This is a real shame. My grandfather brought me this watch for my 18th birthday and it really means a lot to me. I am now 27 years old and the watch has lasted me well. However the strap has broken and I called up citizen to ask about how they can help. I gave over my number on the watch only for the person on the other end of the phone to tell me my watch is obsolete and there is no way they can fix it. I think that is appalling and a really negative on the company did not try and offer solutions to this. So now I am unsure of what I am going to do with my watch which I have had for almost a decade . The face works beautifully along but the company has been let down seriously by its customer service and I can see from other reviews I am not the only one who thought so. Feel free to get in contact with me. But this is very disappointing.

Ok products (not perfect), appalling CS

Decent products (not perfect though), appalling customer service. I owned a diver's automatic, an analog diver's eco drive (1° generation), and a diver's 200mt titanium eco drive. I used them as instruments for my work (scuba instructor) and was pretty - happy apart from the fact that the battery level indicator on the titanium eco drive never worked (more of a gimmick than a real function). I tried reporting the problem several times but it was never fixed by the official assistance centre in Milan-Italy. Now, during the last 3 years I seem to have a recurring problem, the seconds indicator stopped working. I brought the watch to repair but every 4 to 6 months the problem reappears. Cost of the maintenance is 90€ each time, and evey time it takes them 2 months to give me back my watch. I tried to ask if there was a better option but I got a very unpolite reply 1 month and a half after my intial contact. Ultimately, these people were unable to provide any solution, and they actually were quite annoyed of having to deal with my issue. I wonder how they still can be in business in the era of smart watches, but judging from the other reviews, they won't last long. They actually deserve it. I was an all-time Citizen fan but never again I'll buy one of their watches.

Citizen Watch Servicing

I own a few watches that I purchased or had purchased for me over the years. I have two Citizen watches, that I have had for a while, one a self winding watch I have had since the 90's and an eco drive. I filled out the Citizen web page to get them both serviced, the eco drive needs a new battery and I thought the self winding one just deserved it. After filling out the web page with the serial numbers and description, I sent them recorded delivery to the Citizen Support Centre. I have now had a message from Citizen saying my watches are on their way back, they are too old for Citizen to service. I am so disappointed that having looked after these watches, Citizen do not seem to care about their own products in the same way. The Eco drive was purchased by my wife and now I cannot take it to the company that made it to get it working and it is not that old, but too old for Citizen to service. I have had a couple of independent watch repairs recommended to me and I will see if they can help.

Misleading useless warranty

I purchased a Titanium Eco Drive watch two years ago for $600 AUD while on holidays overseas from a reputable dealer..
It came with a five year warranty which I now find out is not recognised in Australia.
The fault occurred when i went to adjust the time and the crown separated from the watch rendering it useless. This watch is only worn on weekends and still looks brand new.
Who in their right mind would spend $600 dollars on a faulty product from Citizen when they don't even stand behind their product.

Repair coercion

Rechargeable batteries do not recharge forever. They hold a charge less and less the more they're recharged. I believe Citizen misleads people into thinking that they will never have to replace the battery. Well I had to replace one. I bought a tool to pop the back off another tool to put the back on.I replaced the battery. It needs a new gasket. Citizen demands that one sends the watch to them for repair. They refused to sell parts. They make it sound like it's a law that you have to send it to them for repair.

Their customer service is really poor…

Their customer service is really poor and can be rude when you prove them that they did a mistake. The quality of their products gets tainted by the utterly bad service they provide. My bad experience was precisely with two members of their staff called Joana and Phil (Ontario Head Office), the former incredibly bad. It is really sad. Just by their treatment I can say 100% sure that I wont ever order anything from Citizen online.

Do not trust the Citizen Watch warranty!

If you are foolish enough to buy a Citizen Watch, do not be fool by the warranty. It will not be honoured. I bought a very expensive Citizen Watch and the numbers on the inside start falling off. I sent it to the UK Service Centre and was told that the can not honour the warranty because the watch is heavily scratched and lied that my push button is bent. Yes, my watch has scratches. Simple, fix the internal number according to the warranty and fix the push button they they bent went trying to open the watch and sent me my scratch watch.

Useless warranty

I purchased a watch for my 21st birthday with money from grandparents and since I have owned the watch it has been nothing but problems. My watch is currently back with citizen for the 4th time now after failure. The watch in question is a CITIZEN GENTS ECO DRIVE TITANIUM WATCH CA4016-51L. They are now charging me £210 to fix said watch even though it’s still under “warranty” complete waste of paper the warranty as clearly it counts for nothing. The watch has never had any hard use and only been used in correct conditions if such a thing exists. The fact I can now buy another brand new watch of the same model and make for £231 makes the £210 repair seem pretty ridiculous to be honest. So to conclude lovely watch to look at however don’t believe the warranty as they will just go back on it and leave you with a broken time piece. Certainly won’t be buying another from citizen after this pretend warranty guarantee they prize themselves on.
