You’d think I asked for the Crown Jewels

I enrolled on the CISI IAD Level 4 course and, because I already spend so many hours staring at a screen, I asked whether I could receive the learning materials in hard copy. You would have thought I was asking for the crown jewels. I was even told they wanted a letter from a doctor, which felt completely excessive, and despite offering to pay extra for the printed book, the answer was still no.

What should have been a simple and reasonable request became a frustrating and disappointing experience. For a provider of professional financial education, the lack of flexibility and basic customer care was surprising.

Overall, the service fell well below expectations. I expected far better.

Scam courses

Sadly they are a scam. Went to study a qualification, their courier delivered the materials to the wrong address and CISI expected me to pay even more for replacement materials. They charge a lot of money for those textbooks but then use the cheapest, most cowboy outfit of couriers they can find, and assume that they are nothing but perfectionists at their jobs.

Why I can"t give zero star?

Why I can"t give zero star?

Please dont take any exam with this organisation. This was scam!!! I took 3 courses and took online exam, I took 2 times for my online exam each time because my exam was disconnected by system in half way and other time was the secured problem and I couldnt launch the exam. The customer service was unprofessional and was not able to help you for your problem. I had been studying few months for the exam and I had to reschedule the exam due to their ridiculous online exam system. You can choose doing the exam in their center but there would limited schedule for you to choose.

In conclusion, please keep away from this organization and their exam. This is SCAM

Gone Downhill a long time ago.....

As an ex MSI (Dip) and ex chartered member who asked for some information on exam results for the MSI (Dip) papers, which this body decided to scrap, which was one of the best forms of professional level qualifications especially for those who already did their under grad studies, which they still not answered after almost 4 weeks is appalling. But my treatment and discrimination from others members is the real issue. This organisation and their leaders are just out to make money. The chartered status is not comparable to the former MSI (Dip) or IIMR/AIIMR or now CFA or what was the ACIB. They have gone downhill, especially when the registered rep exams were scrapped.

CISI is an educational con

CISI is an educational con

The CISI failed me for an exam because the Chief Examiner set an answer that showed a lack of understanding of commodity markets and then refused to consider my appeal or complaint even when google agreed with the answer given.

Their robust quality assurance policy is a lie because the examinations are not examined to an appropriate standard of critical analysis.

Would love to give 0 stars

Would love to give 0 stars, because that's how low level their quality of service is. Wrong invoices, which they say they can't adjust (they used the wrong credentials), online exams take forever because of the remote invigilation. Proctor is a bureaucratic agency filled with unmotivated staff members, that love to scrutinize you about nothing. Took me over an hour to get my id and room checked. Costumer service takes 3 weeks to "investigate" a complaint and then tells you: You are right, but there is nothing we will do about it. Results of tests are not sent to your inbox, you have to ask for them or look for them in your account. If you fail a test, you have to search how to order a resit instead of receiving an email with a booking link. Never experienced such an unprofessional business. Highly recommended to look for an alternative.

My experience is negative, would not choose CISI again

I recently took the ICWIM exam, candidate 894871.
My experience is negative, would not choose CISI again:

I first registered to take the test with remote invigilation, luckly I tested the software a few days before the exam and it was full of errors, saying my 3 different laptops are virtual machines and could not run. After spending 1 day to solve it, they had to reschedule the exam to a local test center.

Regarding the CISI materials, they failed to provide an optimal preparation for the real exam.

The exam mock tests provided on their learning platform and the Revision express which amount to more than 300 questions, do not worth the amount of money paid for. It's impossible that from +300 exam practice questions to only get like maybe 3-4 similar ones during the actual exam.

The actual exam had questions which were very subjective or focused on specific text from the studybook, most of them which in my oppinion would have very low use in a real situation.

Also important to mention that CISI has access to all the practice questions and the results from the Revision express, so they already know which ones you practiced succesfully. A redo exam is costing a whooping full price, no discount is given.

Terrible overall service

Terrible customer service. I’ve had exams not booked correctly, turning up and revising for nothing, and I barely got an apology.

I’ve also had issues with their exemptions, not being clear.

This company cares about the bottom line and not good service and education.

Oh and their books are written so badly, barely legible and mistakes throughout.

I wish I had taken my money elsewhere

Scammy site

Scammy site, Wanted to delay my exam the second time to get more study time in but they wanted to charge me the full exam fee which would be £200, the first time was only £20, so they are not very supportive to their students and just want as much money as possible. If I could delay it unlimited times for £20 then that would be ok, but omg...
