Unfortunately, same problem as others have stated. Chronos take your order, you hear and receive nothing, then when you phone up, you're told that the item's no longer in stock. Assuming it was ever in stock in the first place. Blame myself, should have reviewed more.
On a more positive note, PayPal payment was quickly refunded. Hence, the one star...

I've been using Chronos for several years now and product quality and service has always been very good.
I purchased a magnifying desk lamp. The unit had a problem after a couple of weeks after a spring failed. Customer service was straight on it and the replacement was here in 24 hours.
Fantastic customer support. Will use again. Thanks Chronos !

Ordered a Sparmax airbrush and compressor as both were noted available on the Chronos web site. They weren’t. After payment had been taken for next day delivery I reviewed an email telling me the airbrush was out of stock and no doubt for future availability and the compressor wouldn’t be available for a week. I requested an immediate refund and have heard nothing. They are in breach of the provisions under the “misrepresentation of goods act”.

I recently bought a 5"rotary table/dividing kit that turned out to be such poor quality I had to return it. I'm giving 4 stars because there was no problem at all with the return and a full refund. Everything else that I have bought from Chronos has been very good, deliveries are always prompt and prices good too, I am very happy to buy from them.

I've only given one star to write a review - they don't deserve that even! Made three orders with them - the quickest was two week delivery; this LAST order is a month old and still showing as processing. No reply to any emails I send - shocking!

Bought a cheap 4" tilting rotary table from Chronos (£68, Chronos code 111305), but didn't check it out well enough until I wanted to use it a couple of months later when I found it had an internal manufacturing fault (bent worm shaft) which made it jam every revolution of the dial. Fixed that (made a new worm and shaft on the basis that any replacement might be as bad or worse), then found that the handwheel dial is incorrectly marked, with graduations reading only half the degrees that the table rotates. Checked with the description on the website (it gives wrong information).
I've told Chronos about this but I'm not expecting a lot of help given the general tone of other reviews on these pages!
If you're thinking of buying one of these then good luck, hope you get a better one than mine!

I made a order on Chronos web site, after a few days I got a email saying the item was out of stock offering me a refund as they wasn't sure when they would have them back in stock, I searched for the item on the net and the first company that came up was Chronos with the item still available but at a higher price, so I wrote asking why they said the item was not in stock, I am still waiting!!!

I purchased 2 Clarke heaters from Chronos for one of my customers. These were sent to me via a courier. I delivered these to my customer in our own vehicle and the packaging etc was undamaged. when my customer opened the heaters they found both bulbs smashed even though they were wrapped in cardboard and inside the heater.When this was reported to Chronos they claim it is not their responsibility and won't replace them.

I purchase a lot of Clarke products, usually from a different supplier, and this is the first and last time I will use Chronos.

Always check their terms and conditions before ordering!!!!!

I can't believe anyone would give this piece of Chinese crap a good review. Won't even play CDs. Overpriced rubbish. Avoid at all costs.

I agree with some of the other reviews, communication is not their strongest point. Although, after I made a fuss I was given all the information I wanted. Why they wait til after you've made a fuss is beyond me. I'm sure they get lots of emails so just type faster! They did deliver a very good & good value surface plate on time so can't complain there, Just need to sort out their dispatch updates which didn't work on their website, hence needing to contact them.

Placed the order - got the stuff next day. What's not to like?

I have been trying to contact Chronos since June 26th. There is no phone number for customer support so the only option is basically an email, of which, no one responds to. I will NEVER purchase another item from them. If anyone has a way to get them to respond, I'd love to know.

I don't normally do this unless I am pushed and I've just been pushed.
Unfortunately there are still terrible companies selling online.
Faulty item, extremely rude on the phone ( I do wonder if he speaks to all the customers like that or just women in general)
then the managing director blatantly lied when I complained later. No refund was offered to me even though he insisted it was, when I asked to speak to him after I'd been hung up on earlier, he wasn't there, but, magically he was close enough to hear this imaginary conversation I was having, I was shouting so loudly he could hear me, which is very strange as I'd been hung up on before I could even explain the problem, I'd been put on hold before that so God knows when I had the chance to shout.
Of course; I did shout when I called back to tell the rude one what I thought of him personally, but his inflammatory behaviour would be enough to push a saint.
Be careful, if you have problems with your purchase, it will be your fault as far as they're concerned, you will be the liar not them.
Steer clear and buy from somewhere else.

I bought high-quality sanding discs at the best price I could find, and also got free 1st Class delivery (arrived next day; today).

I bought online, but there was a Sales phone number (I called with a question about the order).

Full marks for quality, price and service.

I have used Chronos a number of times before and have always had a good experience. They have a great range of engineering goods that are well priced and delivery is fast. In the event you have any sort of problem I have found their customer support excellent. A pleasure to trade with.
