Easy Way to Cut Back
Really easy onboarding. Cheaper/similar price compared to seeing a psychiatrist but more streamlined (and always available). Noticed a huge difference after a few weeks. You can keep drinking like normal but pretty quickly lose interest. It took me a few extra days to get to 50mg but the only side effects were a mild upset stomach (I eat a light snack for breakfast though vs meal).
Also the medication is actually available. My first attempt from a local psychiatrist went to a local pharmacy who twice canceled the prescription because it was on back order.

Comfortable and Peaceful
The whole time I've been taking Naltrexone I've had no cravings for alcohol whatsoever. I've noticed after not drinking my blood pressure has dropped back down to a healthy range and I'm sleeping better.

The ease of the program was appealing
The ease of the program was appealing. I liked the way it was thorough in asking questions, and finally that I was able to get the medicine quietly. I started with hope, as I have tried other methods of reducing my alcohol consumption, and this far exceeded my expectations. The cravings were truly gone at 5 o'clock. I substituted a non- alcoholic beverage with little trouble. I am grateful for finding this program and for the positive support it offeres.

I honestly didn't think changing my…
I honestly didn't think changing my relationship with alcohol was possible. For years it felt like drinking was something that just happened. It didn't feel like much of a choice.
Choose Your Horizon helped change that. Now there are nights where I have a drink, and there are nights where I don't. The biggest difference is that it actually feels like my decision instead of something I'm being pulled toward. That sense of control has been incredibly empowering.
The app has been a huge part of that. The reminders keep me on track, and I've found myself using it almost like a journal. Looking back at what I've logged helps me see progress that I probably would've missed otherwise.
