British men's fashion doesn't really call for pockets however we do understand some of our customers would benefit from having them. This is why we offer the option to add one for an additional cost.

Custom made service highly recommended
We used the custom made shirt service for a shirt to wear to a wedding and are really pleased with it. The quality, workmanship and fit are absolutely brilliant, we cannot praise them enough. The shirt also arrived earlier than we expected.
Would definitely use them again and recommend this service

Ridiculous company policy and…
Ridiculous company policy and incompetent support agents. Ordered a non-custom shirt with full return policy. Within the hour went to modify my order and they informed me the order can not be modified or canceled. The order had not shipped yet.
Their solution is to continue to ship me the shirt that I don't want and have me return it to them, and buy a new shirt. This solution they effectively pay for shipping and then have me return a shirt that they no longer can use for another customer.. if I was the business I'd just allow the consumer to cancel or modify the order.

Charles Tyrwhitt dispatched my order in the expected time period but the Amazon delivery service lost the parcel. However, Charles Tyrwhitt dispatched a replacement garment by next day delivery, timing the dispatch to work around my vacation.
The service I received was excellent, sorting the dispatch of the replacement garment over the phone. No quibbles, just straight forward customer focus and support.

Pathetic customer service
I have been ordering shirts from the company for years and have always been happy with the service and products- until now. I placed an order 3 weeks ago and when I had heard nothing and no tracking I contacted them at the start of this week. They told me that the order had been returned as my details couldn't be confirmed (no change from previous order details - go figure) and could not be repeated. They said they would refund me. That was 3 days ago.

I am very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with your recent order and the disappointment caused by the subsequent contact with our customer services team. A smooth and on-time delivery is at the forefront of what we do, so I sincerely apologise that we fell short of your expectations on this occasion.
We are currently investigating what went wrong, and from what I can see, this appears to be a very unusual error, and we are looking into the cause of this anomaly.
Unfortunately, we are unable to proactively monitor every shipment, so we only became aware that your parcel had not been delivered and that the tracking had stopped updating when you contacted us.
As your order was placed through our international partner, Global E, we are unable to process refunds directly. Instead, we must ask Global E to issue the refund on our behalf. My colleague requested this as soon as you got in touch.
I can confirm that your refund has now been processed. Please allow three to five working days for the funds to appear in your account.
Unfortunately, unlike with UK orders, we are not able to arrange an immediate replacement for international orders if an issue occurs. This is due to the way international orders are processed through Global E. I have just sent you an email outlining a suitable solution.

Exceptional Service from One Staff Member, Disappointing from Another
I recently visited the Charles Tyrwhitt store on New Street in Birmingham and received exceptional service from Amit. He was positive, approachable and genuinely helpful throughout my visit. He engaged naturally, answered my questions and demonstrated exactly the kind of warm and professional customer service I would expect from a clothing retailer. He deserves particular recognition for making me feel welcome.
My interaction with another member of staff was unfortunately very different. I approached her while she appeared to be stocktaking, briefly mentioned that I had previously worked in clothing retail and asked how long the store had been there. I appreciate that she may have been busy, but her manner seemed noticeably cold and dismissive. What made the experience particularly uncomfortable was that, immediately afterwards, she spoke to another customer in a much warmer, friendlier and more courteous way. The contrast was disappointing. Amit was excellent, but every customer should receive the same basic level of friendliness and professionalism.

Excellent customer service from start to finish. The team was friendly, professional and very responsive throughout my exchange request. They carefully checked the availability of each item, arranged the replacement products quickly and processed a refund for those that were out of stock. Charles Tyrwhitt makes very good shirts that my husband really likes. The one that I ordered was huge so I set about returning it. There was a problem as I had added a pocket which is a cause for non return. Using live chat was easy and the situation was quickly resolved. The company have been generous and kind in their communications.

Excellent Customer Service and Common Sense Prevails!
I ordered a shirt a few months back which I had not opened. When I did come to open it to check its fit to wear at a friends forthcoming wedding, I found that I had eaten a few too many cakes and said shirt was now too tight!
Unfortunately, this discovery was a few weeks outside of the normal 6 months return window and less than a week before the wedding.
I have been a regular customer for many years. Tevin from customer service recognised this, understood the problem and after sending a few photos showing that the shirt was indeed brand new, he expedited the next collar size up FOC on next day delivery, before I had even sent the other shirt back.
Excellent customer service and common sense which is so often lacking in todays world. This could very easily have been a "computer says no" moment but I am pleased to say that Charles Tyrwhitt exceeded my expectations on this occasion.

I have been buying shirts from CT shirts for more than twenty years and I never had any problems with the product or service!!! If I can say one thing is that for my body type 1,86m 93kg, ordering extra slim fit at 16,5 /36 I still find the shirts on the bigger side!

In regards to the fit, I'm afraid the only way to get the shirt 2" trimmer in the chest and waist would be to go down in a neck size. Please take a look at our sizing guide and compare them to measurements of your own to see if you could go down a neck size.
