Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra just launched; great, I got one through Carphone Warehouse, also bought a screen protector for life, and went to pick up the phone yesterday. One hour later, they could not fit the screen protector; the insurance for the phone could not be completed because, and I quote: "the phone is too new, and the system is not updated". Same for the screen protector; the machine did not know the phone make or model. For a company that sells new phones, not having a brand new phone in your system should be a bit embarrassing. Would not recommend them at all because after 1 hour in the shop, all they managed to do was give me the phone and tell me to go =)) after I paid for extra services they were unable to deliver.

The staff who provided me this service was a pleasant chap all round.

After an easy pick up I experienced problems with my phone Currys tested the phone and in the process the sim tray was lost.
After returning the same day I was informed that I would receive a replacement but needed to return the following day. When I did return I was informed that I would not receive a replacement and that I had lost it!
Archie the manger was very dismissive and unhelpful.
I am left with a unusable phone and relying on Apple to send me a replacement at a cost to myself as well as 42 miles and four hours of wasted time.

This time I’m giving a rating of 5 because the person who assisted us clearly knew their job; they handled our matter quickly, and we received a satisfactory answer to every question we asked.

Felt railroaded into signing up for a contract with a phone I wasn't given the option of which colour I wanted. Found the phone, my colour of choice for less cost and a better network. The network chosen by your associate for me does not even cover my area. When I returned the next day the associate was obstructive and told me it would take around 40mins to cancel my contract. I stood there whilst this associate was on his phone, and assisting other customers whilst I waited, it was most unprofessional and made me feel very uneasy. He also demanded a reason for the cancellation even though in the terms and conditions it stated I did not need to give a reason. I was also mis sold the contract at £29 per month when it was actually £29.99, was not informed of incremental charges raising to £33.59 and was not offered a copy of the terms and conditions to read before being asked to sign my name in an electronic box. Highly inprofessional and clearly not informed consent. Dissapointing.
