Parked in a carpark in coleraine

Parked in a carpark in coleraine, downloaded the app, went through all the functions (i thought, there's quite a few). On the last step after you put your time in, you have to push the app button again. Missed this, explained to the company, also paid for the parking once I realised my mistake, yet still fined me. Won't be shopping in the area again and won't be shopping anywhere that uses this company.

Disgusting, money grabbing company!

Disgusting company! totally unethical and money grabbing. I am appalled that they are allowed to operate with their current business model?!
We parked in one of their car parks, hubby had the app, he entered his details as required and so assuming we were registered with them for parking we went ahead on our day out.
Unknowingly and a genuine error hubby had omitted to scroll down and hit the continue button.
He did this about an hour after we had parked after repeatedly checking his phone to see if charges had begun. Once he realised his error he hit continue and the charges started.
However lo and behold on arrival back at our car we had been issued a ticket. £90 reduced to £45 if paid within 14 days?!
We attempted to appeal online. What a total waste of time! A generic blah, blah response stating that their attendant had photos etc the time showed when we arrived blah, blah?!!
Absolutely no intention of mediation for genuine customer error.
In top of this our bank account has been charged £7. How is this not daylight robbery?! We are paying for our parking, which they are entitled to but also paying a £45 fine. I am beyond annoyed.
Be assured we will pay the £45 but intend to take this much, much further.
AVOID parking anywhere run by these gangsters.
Do not bother appealing as it is a total waste of time and energy.

Beware Campervanners

Got a ticket for parking outside the lines, I was in a campervan so couldn't fit in the lines! No signs for campervans, there is a coach section but didnt use that as I am not a coach so didn't want to use a valuable coach space, parked at the opposite end to the town where there were no cars around to be considerate. I appealed the ticket and they just responded "I was outside the line". Not a good service being on the Causeway Coastal route in PortStewart there will be loads of campervans they should have a sign saying where we should park.

Disgusted by companies approach and…

Disgusted by companies approach and appeals process especially.
I parked in one of their managed car parks for 50 minutes. I used the Just Pay app as required. It showed minimum charge for an hour. I accepted. It then started a timer and was going to charge me more if I didn't remember to stop it. I was in holiday mode with a high chance of not remembering as i've never had to do this before, so seeing as it had charged me for the hour I wanted, I clicked to stop the timer. Thinking I'd paid for an hour and so would be entitled to an hour, I proceeded to stay for 50 minutes...but got a ticket because it said I'd cancelled the parking. Annoying doesn't begin to describe this experience.
Very poor user design of the app which should either a) offer the option to buy a fixed time, or b) not have a minimum payment if it's not going to give you a minimum time, or c) give you the minimum period if it's made you pay for it. It shouldn't take the money and not give you any time.
Further, the friend I was with did the right thing, but when he came back to stop the timer after 50 mins, it just span round for the next hour. But his unwarranted extra 40p charge was nothing to the £90 I was charged.
I appealed the charge as surely these organisations are there to make sure you pay for your parking which I could produce evidence that I had done - I thought that surely they'd see sense on appeal. But the appeals process was horrible. It is quick, but only because they don't address your points at all and simply say 'computer says you're in the wrong'...when my appeal was on the basis that the computer saying I was wrong in the first place was not reasonable. So they are blaming me for being forced to use an incredibly badly designed app in a way that didn't conform with their badly automated and linked up system. Appeal process closes immediately after what feels like their automated response, and the only option available is to give up the option to pay half fee and appeal externally which will take another 6-8 weeks and is a hassle I can really do with out. So I've paid, but feel really let down by the system.
