They gave me good attention on purchasing the car. On delivery I found the back windscreenwiper was broken, the ad-blue light flashing and no manual. I called them, was told to get the wiper and ad-blue fixed and buy a manual and they would reimburse me. To date I have called them many times and waited three and a half months but still no reimbursement. Their after sales service is non existent. A company not to be recommended.
Stay well away from the car dealer they very bad with there customer service there isn't any what so ever will you off now it's been a few months and still this company want do anything about the main battery is on its way out and I have the paper work that shows that there was something wrong with it. All they did was put it on a computer to turn the lights out
I wish I’d seen the other reviews before purchasing a car from this garage.
Sadly, I bought a car from them a couple of months ago. Whilst parting with my money, they were obviously lovely to deal with. However, as soon as I got the car home and problems started occurring, they didn’t want to know. I paid for my garage to do a full inspection and it turned out that the car shouldn’t even be on the road, I was told he had no idea how the car had even passed the MOT in the state it was in and it was not safe to drive. Again, I called the garage to relay this, and was promised a call back, which never happened. When I followed up the call, it appeared that my number had been blocked. I phoned from my partners phone - surprise, surprise, it was answered straight away, but as soon as I mentioned who I was, they put the phone down on me.
I know that I’ll never see a penny back from them, but I hope that this may prevent someone else being in my position; without a car and my money!
Found a car I really liked put deposit down and finally had the car delivered now a few weeks in to having it the car does not start and also has a coolant leak I have tried to make contact with them to no avail just get ignored..awful customer service good enough to take your money but not rectify issues leaving me now without a car to use,I’m a single mum and cannot afford to be paying for something that should be covered and rectified by these.
Engine warning light came on just 3 days after buying the car from CarMart. They have had 3 chances to repair it. All they do is ignore your phone calls, keep it for weeks, turn the engine light off and give the car back. I need my car as I have to take my disabled child to hospital regularly at short notice and cannot be without a car. Chris knew this and has behaved appallingly.
On the last occasion, I exercised my final right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, when the engine light came back on before I’d even left CarMart! Chris promised to arrange a refund the following day on receipt of my email. No response to email or subsequent letter. I have no choice now but to take them to the Small Claims Court.
Don’t buy a car from these cowboys unless you enjoy stress, having no car and taking people to court!
I strongly suggest buying elsewhere.
TLDR; inadequate repairs, lies about faults, will ignore your phone calls, save yourself the hassle, headache and money.
Called ahead to book a viewing, upon arrival the car had virtually no fuel so we had to put fuel in (they paid) on our test drive, we also had to inflate 2 tyres as they were down to 10psi. The carpets inside were very wet, we were assured this was due to the valet that had been done to it.
We decided to buy the car as these are simple things to rectify, paid a deposit and went away waiting for a fresh MOT, failed the first with the two fails rectified and retested, 5 advisories left for us to sort out (suspension, tyres, brakes) at our own cost.
In hind sight we should have refused and walked away but it was the car and spec we had been looking for, happy to spend some money on service items.
On arrival to first collect the car we are then informed it's a 1 month warranty with the option to buy 3 months for £250 (depending on which member of staff you speak to), we should have asked first, went to get in the car, flat battery, needed to be jump started, drove to get fuel, battery dead again, they have the car back and fit a new battery (not the correct start/stop battery, a cheaper alternative).
A couple of weeks later, the engine management light comes on and the drivers footwell is still very wet, coolant leaking from the heater matrix into the car and two fault codes present.
Ring them, they have the car back (no courtesy car because we didn't pay the extra for the 3 month warranty) and tell us they will fix it.
Almost impossible to get hold of these people once you've handed the money over, had to call from different numbers (which seem to get answered quickly).
Told us they fixed the coolant leak out of "goodwill" and the fault codes were because of low coolant and engine temperature (complete lie, codes were for turbo and catalytic converter).
We pay for the extra warranty just in case and drive away under the impression it's fixed.
After a while of being driven around, engine management light returns.
We call, the offer to have it back and will organise a courtesy car (a quite frankly knackered mercedes A class that had more issues than cars I have scrapped in the past, up for sale on their website), they tell us the "mechanic" will have a look at it in the next few days.
A week and a bit of no contact and we start trying to chase it up, only to be told the mechanic hasn't looked at it yet and will do so tomorrow, then 2 days later the car is "fixed" and ready to collect, changed a sensor (looking at other reviews this seems to be a common thing), we asked for a copy of the parts invoice for the vehicle history, got told it will be emailed to us, still hasn't been emailed (I suspect no part was actually ordered or fitted).
Then again, a couple of weeks later, first time it has been driven in the evening and it's dark out, weird, the engine management light appears to be dimly lit, on further investigation, the car has the same 2 original fault codes from the start and some new codes indicating an issue with a short in the can bus system.
So the engine management light is on, but not bright enough to see in the daytime, how odd, it was working before and their "mechanic" is so far the only on to have worked on this car in our ownership.
I now have zero confidence in taking this back to them as I do not trust their "mechanic" and what might get done to the car (or not done).
I will be seeking independent advice on the matter and getting the car independently inspected.
