Biggest piece of mind with your precious data! I can't even imagine my photos and data not being stored in a cloud, when a computer, hard drive or other device will eventually fail. The information is easy to view and download from the Carbonite cloud into the computer or cellphone with the app. It couldn't be any better. Thank you, Carbonite!
Excellent backup. Runs in the background and has never let me down. Much better than a SSD running of my iMac which has let me down in the past.
We have been using Carbonite for many years. They are great to chat with if you have questions. Highly recommend Carbonite.
Software is easy to use and clearly shows which files are being backed up and which files are pending backup. I also like how easy it is to backup a file, just right click and select backup with Carbonite!
I’m happy with with every aspect of it. I’ll continue using it.
Have been with Carbonite for several years, trusting them to backup my business data.
A few years back I had a hard drive failure and recovered all my data, just as advertised!
So yes, I trust this backup platform!

I paid for the service only to find that it does not back up all the formats that I use: FAT32 vs. ExFAT vs. NTFS.
The company refused to give me a refund.
I paid for an annual subscription. My old computer was disposed of and I have only ONE new one. There was only the new one used for the last year. I kept getting notices that my computer was not backed up.
How can you connect with my system and not connect to my new computer? So essentially I paid for a year's subscription without any coverage.
I have been using Carbonite for many years. It is a very good way to manage online accounts. With it, I have different passwords for all my accounts. They are all long as well.
The Carbonite website is really easy to navigate and the customer service is excellent and helpful every time I have needed them!

Carbonite backs up system files that I don't want backed up. I only want to back up documents and photos and have selected this in preferences but it still backs up these extra files.

It accurately maintains e-files and makes it relatively simple to retrieve when necessary.
Customer assistance and communication have been very good.
It was always a good bargain, but recently it's gotten too pricey for an individual user (like me).

I would like to have better control of when the backup is executed. Many times it's when I open the computer and prevents me from opening my email application, resulting a delay until the backup is done.

Reliable. Efficient. I don't have to think about it. I don't know what I'd do without it.
Without realizing it, I deleted my Family Tree Maker database of nearly 4,000 family members. By the time I discovered the files were gone, my only option was Carbonite. I had 24 days to retrieve my Carbonite backup. I would be a very unhappy genealogist without Carbonite.
Over the years I had lots of computer issues and could always get my data back.
Somehow, I deleted an entire folder from my desktop which contained numerous files. They were probably duplicated somewhere else in my directories but to gather all the documents together would have been time consuming and I may have missed some. I was able to retrieve my folder from Carbonite intact. And a few years ago, my computer died and because of Carbonite I recovered almost all of my files, in particular my Quick Books
