The value of using a Travel Agent with a High St presence
Went into the agency with a specific requirement in mind and when processing the holiday request, it was clear that to meet my needs, the price was far more than I was willing to pay.
As we had the holiday company (Osprey Holidays) on the phone, discussion took place relating to a different hotel which I was assured was as good as the one I wanted but at over half the price.
We settled for that, paid and waited for the holiday to happen.

Arriving at the hotel, we were amazed at the standard which was clearly 5* and met all the pre discussions we had for our original hotel. Facilities were excellent, position in the town were great, staff were first class and food (when we had it) was of a high standard. Great bar (main and in room) could not be faulted in the variety of drinks being carried and the prices. Osprey and Cambourne Travel excelled themselves.
The return journeys, (Taxi and flight) unfortunately were terrible but neither could be pointed towards Cambourne Travel or Osprey.
When we went in to report back, the issues of horrific driving and 6 hour flight delay (with a number of issues) are well documented in my Trustpilot reviews of both Wizz Air and Talixo but the response from both UK agencies was superb. Within days, they had received an admission from both suppliers that they were at fault, compensation was agreed and within 3 weeks a significant payment had been deposited in my Bank Account, none of which I believe would have happened had I been a lone traveller and certainly not within the timeline that was achieved by the agents.
The value of being able to have a face to face discussion over our wants which led to a fantastic hotel, the support when things went wrong and the outcomes achieved on my behalf by both Cambourne Travel and Osprey Holidays can't be over stated.
