Byways breaks arranged excellent self-guided walk of Offa's Dyke Path
My wife and I wanted to walk the Offa's Dyke Path and Byways Breaks provided an excellent service from start to finish. With other long distance trails we have always arranged accommodation and luggage transfer ourselves. However, with Offa’s Dyke Path we knew that the remote nature of parts of the path might make the logistics more challenging. So, having come up with some dates and a rough itinerary, we went to Byways Breaks for their accommodation booking and luggage transfer service. They worked with us to adapt and hone our plan and delivered an itinerary that fitted our requirements. We stayed in some wonderful places and the personal and luggage transfers worked seamlessly. On just one or two occasions it took Byways a bit of time to respond to calls or emails. This may be because they are a small outfit – but they always responded. However, a sudden and last minute change (due to a medical emergency at one of our B&B hosts) was dealt with very promptly, efficiently and effectively. We became aware that Byways personally check out the accommodation they book people into. One B&B host told us that he takes bookings from three companies providing Offa’s Dyke Path itineraries. Byways was the only one of the three to have visited and inspected his premises. Another host confirmed that she had been visited and checked out. We think that says it all really. We know they can arrange a host of other walks and the like.
