Our daughter has been at the Waldorf International School of Copenhagen since first grade and is now in her fourth year and we couldn’t imagine a better place for her. The teachers see and support each child as an individual, and the school has created such a warm, creative, and international community. We’ve watched her grow not only academically but also in confidence, imagination, and joy for learning. As parents, it means so much to know she is in an environment where she feels safe, inspired, and truly happy every day.

Hello, so recently in the school a teacher who i wont name has gained a lot of weight. Everywhere she is spotted, half a candy bar is in her hand. Even though personal life isn't our concern, we are concerned that the "food theme" has gotten out of hand.

For example, in the class when they are having math, they are using cupcakes as an example for equations. We didn't really think this was a problem until at this recent school interview, we noticed her shirt was a little tight. When she took a bite out of a new candy bar her button popped hitting my wife in the eye.

After the meeting my wife had to go to the doctor to get her black eye checked. We know this may sound ridiculous, but for the sake of the children, could you just show a little bit of innovation.

We (Parents and Kids/Students) are truly happy about the school and the kindergarten. Compared to the alternatives in central CPH, Byens Steinerskole develop, maintain and facilitate the best environment and education to our kids. No contest!

The school has a lot of potential being quite a new school. Unfortunately for our child, it did not work out having a teacher in 1st class international department, who is clearly no not Steiner trained and is quite backwards in terms class management using rewards and punishment. Giving sweet treats most of the time and yells at the children. My child complains about how much yelling is going on everyday. It is just too loud and he does not provide a calm learning environment. I can see a change in my child’s behavior making it okay to behave the way they do probably due to the exposure from the class teacher. We had to take our child out from this kind of environment.
However, we have had a good experience with the activity club at the school. The personnel working there are very kind and soft spoken, seems very attentive to the children providing multiple range of activities both outdoors and indoors. My child speaks fondly of the after school care.
