Deleted my email and now I've lost access to so many things

They deleted my email years ago, I lost access to so much of my stuff, it has been a complete headache trying to unbind this dead email from anything it used to be linked to. I've lost access to things that I've purchased because they deleted my account. They could have just deactivated it and left it at that but that make too much sense for such a terribly run company

FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!

THE MOST FRIENDLY, POLITE AND HELPFUL CALL SERVICE REP I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS!!

WAYNE was beyond helpful at trying to help establish the problem with my Internet from diagnostics and taking me through things step by step such as basic rebooting etc.

I am SHOCKED at the poor reviews!!!

It really helps to have such fantastic customer service and representative who is so attentive and helpful!!!

I absolutely would highly recommend BT Internet and thier customer service!

I am so pleased after a distressing morning to have someone helpful and kind on the other end. He was unable to fix the problem but was happy to arrange a replacement to come out which may hopefully fix the fault.

Thank you Wayne. It doesn't take much to be kind and helpful (especially when I'm not tech savvy), but the patience and going above and beyond really speaks volumes!

I hope the new hub can fix things and whilst I rarely bother writing reviews, I have done this off my own back because I truly believe that some people and thier services are under appreciated! Your a star :)

No support & lies

I live in a rural area NE19 2B_ and there was an accident 6 days ago 14th Aug which cut a BT broadband line. The whole community now has no broadband or phone plus mobile reception is terrible. When we can get a signal BT say it will be fixed next day then the same next day or sometimes "we are working on it" However no vans or engineers have actually bother coming out to where the line is broken. Also as usual cannot get through to BT, absolutely pathetic service and response.

Unstable internet...very wierd customer service

We have been with BT for some time now. currently with broadband at £60 per month. recently the network is very unstable in our company with barely 6 to 7 users at a time. Internet goes away minimum 10 time a day without any rhyme and reason. When trying to contact support , they remark that this service is actually normal and that if wanted something more stable we would need to pay £180 per month + setup charges around £1000.

A broadband provider stating that 10 occasions per day when line is unstable is considered a norm for them...it really doesn't make make a good impression at all. looking for other providers and they supply similar broadband at £20 per month. not sure if they will be more reliable but at least not charging £60 for a connection dropping 10 times a day

terrible service from Lifetime Legal

The company phoned me repeatedly at inconvenient times during working hours without arranging the calls in advance, the way one normally would do with a client and as I had explicitly requested. They also kept phoning me even after I had given the information they had asked for. And they asked me to divulge personal information about another person that I was not entitled to divulge. Moreover, the whole process was exceedingly drawn-out and time consuming, and it extended the transaction I was involved in unnecessarily.

Beware the BT email account rip off
What they dont tell you when you sign up is when you cancel several years later they expect to you to pay them to have full access to your own email address.

I have accounts from other provider that are still working and free

Their basic browser does not even have the functionality of other free browsers

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company! No internet for over two weeks now! They keep fobbing me off with excuses! Dont waste your money on this company if you want constant internet, goes down all the time! Staff not helpful at all, useless company! Time to change update, so sent an engineer to fix problem, waited in (day waisted) he said oh i only fix internal, it is an outside fault, another one came four days later to fix external fault, he never bothered to let me know he was at the door! He said the other engineer was lying, he should be able to fix both! Bt promised last week they would send me a mini box, so at least i could connect to internet, this week they say no you cannot have one, because you dont pay enough for your internet/phone line! So until dumb and dummer sort out who can fix internal/external repairs i will be without connection for the foreseeable They now owe me so much compensation, surely would have been cheaper for them to send me a connection box in the beginning! Unbelievable!

BT have updated their email settings…

BT have updated their email settings and once again in the process my email account has been hacked. What is annoying is that there was no report button or email accounts for being hacked that I could fine - I could complain about broadband and telephones, but not email, or not that I found at least.

My account sent out emails to all the contacts on my email address with a redirect on my account to another email address that is not mine. I had to reset my password and turn off the redirect of my emails. So if you have not had any emails today, check your account settings have not been changed.

So far I've had 2 accounts as the first one was activated in Yorkshire and I live in sussex. So account closed..new account open at my address again..Internet works tv doesn't, great advert for this company..been told it will be sorted tomorrow...if not ill close my 2nd account having not used the services...not impressed!!!

Prices increased one month after new contract

Contacted BT but they said there's nothing they can do - expected better from this company.

On the plus-side, the broadband works fine. I'm just frustrated I'm paying more than originally agreed.

Don't use if you like to travel

Dont use if you like to travel. Used BT email for years. I've been travelling SE Asia for a month, suddenly I was unable to log into my account and then bt locked it. I contacted customer services via online chat and they said I couldn't use it while travelling as it was a 'threat to national security'. I was in Vietnam lol. I tried reasoning with them, I have all information to prove it is my account, plus I need access to my email for work. They didn't want to know and became rude tbh. Only way I can unlock my account is to call them from inside UK. Great 👍 thanks a bunch BT! Avoid avoid avoid

Signed up for £29.99 broadband

Signed up for £29.99 broadband. Now they've slapped a 14.4% increase on my monthly bill. Thieving scum are quoting T's & C's. I've complained but they say it is "deadlock" so will send out a letter for me to take to the Ombudsman...but they're in bed with all of these providers so I won't get anywhere. Do yourself a favour and avoid these thieving, back stabbing scumbags. These people make Virgin look decent.

BT FIBRE 900

Got BT fibre 900 with a promise of higer speeds. However this is no better then the standard connection we had previously. 30-40mps. To add insult to injury I have received a letter saying my internet price will increase with inflation...fair enough. I didnt know inflation was running at 15% though. Robbers!

BT awful treatment despite over 30 years with them

After over 30 years with bt we've been treated so badly. In Dec we started a new contract broadband only for £30 full fibre 5. Ever since they have charged us £50 each month. First they denied the new contract price, after 2 live chats, contacting them 7 times getting different people (I've dealt with 12 people now) & breaking promises each time & having our complaint closed twice without contacting us or resolving it - now they say we made a mistake can't offer you that price. You can either leave without penalties or drop down to 100 speed for £60 month from March, but we will call you in a few days & try and get a bit of a discount if we can. They are refusing to honour the contract even though we've done nothing wrong at all. I am appalled & amazed they claim it's legal because we will let you out for free ?! We don't want to change email addresses after over 30 years but can't believe they can get away with treating us so badly !!!!

I can no longer normally access my bt…

I can no longer normally access my bt email account at all. When loading it shows a fee meaningless messages for a few minutes, then packs up and shows 3 black bars. On the rare occasions when I can get in, it is a very inferior version. In the meantime I can get straight into gmail

BT Mail app

BT Mail app - Same issue since 11th January 2023. Emails keep disappearing from my inbox. I have to keep reinstalling the BT app. (Email works fine on laptop). Really inconvenient when you've placed an online order and you have to reinstall the app in the shop to get the confirmation / collection email. I did receive a response that the matter would be looked into. However, no change.
