Poor Experience of Kitchen Installation
I'm really sad to say that my experience with Bryant Decorators Ltd deserves no more than a single star. Allow me to share my story, especially about their involvement in installing our brand new kitchen, which B&Q had entrusted to them.
Our first encounter with David Bryant Jnr was quite promising. He came across as friendly and professional, which gave us confidence in the whole project. He discussed the work needed openly, making us feel heard and valued.
But, the rollercoaster ride that followed once the kitchen fitting started was unbelievable . It all started with an incident where their team backed their vehicle onto our front lawn without asking for permission. We were promised that the damage would be rectified, but the issue was never resolved and the lawn still bears an ugly hole as a constant reminder.
Then, the plumbers they sent to work on the pipework were nothing short of a disaster. It was one problem after another, and I finally had to demand that they not continue, opting for a different plumber to sort out the mess they left behind.
The biggest disappointment was 'Darren', the person responsible for laying the floor and assembling the kitchen. I wish I could say it went smoothly, but his work was sloppy, and attention to detail was almost non-existent. Countless items got damaged along the way. Worse yet, I overheard him making critical comments about me on the phone while I was trying to address the issues with him. He clearly thought I was unable to hear him.
The plumbing issues persisted, and we had to go through the hassle of hiring another plumber to fix the sink properly. In addition it was frustrating to discover that they hadn't noticed the missing isolator tap for the outside tap which is now impossible to add it due to the kitchen's configuration.
In the midst of all these troubles, I have to give a huge shout-out to B&Q for being amazing throughout the process. They promptly provided replacements for the damaged items whenever I brought up the problems caused by 'Darren.' It is also worth pointing out that Darren did not work 5 days a week. He would show up for a day or 2 and then disappear again until the following week. Ultimately it took nearly 3 months to complete our small kitchen.
Overall, I'm really disappointed with Bryant Decorators Ltd's performance. While David Bryant Jnr was a decent person to deal with, some members of his team seriously dropped the ball. It's essential for companies to uphold the highest standards of excellence and professionalism, and my hope is that my experience serves as a lesson for them to improve their services in the future.
