There's good news and room for improvement too!

The person I spoke to on the phone was really helpful and we resolved my problems quite quickly and easily. That's the good news. The bad news is that the website, though somewhat better than before, remains awkward to use for some things. I found it impossible to make the amendments to my booking that were necessary.

How Flexi ticket works- check out before booking

I would have given 5 stars as the booking form layout is excellent. But how the flexi ticket works is not explained clearly. I have booked 2 flexi tickets on one booking but now understand that if I need to change the outbound crossing, I cannot change the inbound without paying extra. If this correct, it should be made very clear at the time of booking as you are paying an inflated price for each flexi ticket. It would have been better to make 2 seperate booking for each leg of the journey.
