Poor quality product and bad service.

My watch needed a new battery after several weeks... £6
The gold on the metal case started to tarnish after three months.
Return postage ..€6
After over two months of waiting finally told I can get another watch as my original was an old model.
Selected a different watch and now they want to charge £50 more than other retailers do for the same watch.
I strongly advise customers to steer well clear of this company when buying in line.

LADIES HELVETICA LIGHT 1

Ordered without any fuss and good delivery. However after 2 months it stopped working and needed a new battery! Shocking for a £200+ watch!

They told me to send it to them and they would take a look. I wasn't happy with paying and organising for a recorded delivery service (plus the chance of it going missing in the post).
They wouldn't recommend a repairer near me or help with the cost.

All watches should be sent out with a new battery! Cost me £20 and a 25 mile trip to sort it myself.

I would not use BWC again, local jewellers in future for me.

Where do I start?

Where do I start?
I ordered a watch on 5/12/18 to be delivered 6/12/18 in time for my mums birthday, I even paid £6.95 for the privilege. I waited in all day Thursday but the watch never arrived. I tried on several occasions throughout the day to contact them but after 5 or 6 rings it goes to voicemail so I left several messages. I received no call back but I did try again and got through and was advised a logistical error was responsible for my item not being sent out. I was assured by the person I spoke to that the watch would be sent out special delivery and would arrive Friday. So I waited in until 11.30 and a parcel did indeed arrive from The British Watch Company and inside was A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WATCH TO THE ONE I ORDERED!!!!!!!!! So I contacted them again and was advised they would send the correct watch out BUT before they do I have to go to the post office and return the incorrect item then ring them with the tracking number , yet more inconvenience on my part. British Watch Company have been contacted and given the barcode and I have requested the correct item be sent out tomorrow special delivery however this remains to be seen!

Very happy with the service and advice given - Casio Edifice Solar Watch

Ordering online was very easy, came a few days later as stated, watch arrived well packaged, with the correct time set and all the official packaging. I had a question regarding how best to charge and run a solar powered watch and so I called them up. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who clearly explained how to make the most of my watch, service and i know now i can contact them in the future if i have any issues.

Highly recommended

I bought a Tissot watch from this shop with a 10% christmass discount. The item was distpatched 5-6 hours after the purchase and I got it in just 48 hrs. The watch was in an official tissot package with 2 year warranty card signed and dated by BWC. The condition of the watch was perfect without any issue. The little Haribo pack inside the package was very funny. My purchase from this online shop was nothing but a very pleasant and nice experience. Highly recommended.

Excellent service. Fast delivery. Free sweets!

Excellent service. Will be recommending to friends and family. Purchased a tag heuer monaco which I had been waiting for what seems an age. They kept me informed of when stock was due and once they got their delivery I had it on my wrist the next morning! They even threw in a bag of sweets. Will be back soon for my xmas presents 😁

Refused to refund postage for mis-described watch

There was a limit to the adjustability of the bracelet on the Bering watch I bought for my wife. This was not made clear in the description, which used a generic link to adjusting bracelets/straps. I returned the watch for a full refund, but the company refused to refund the postage costs, incl. return postage, although they are obliged to do under UK law when an item is mis-described. As the claim amount is too small, my legal insurance won't cover the cost of legal action, which I guess the company relies on when they screw customers.

Have not been recived

After paying £120 for a watch the money was swiftly taken out of my account on the 7th of December, however the watch has not been sent, I've tried ringing the company but supprise supprise no answer

Is this really the way in which you want to be treated as a customer

Not happy

They are not good. They sent me a watch with scratches on it and when I emailed them nobody ever got in touch with me. I paid £169 for this watch, don't want a scratched one!

Great service

Haven't had my watch long enough to comment on its quality, but the ordering process was great, I forgot to request the bracelet adjustment, logged on to do it & found that the watch had already been despatched only hours after ordering.

This was the complete opposite experience that I had when I attempted to buy the same watch from another retailer from which weeks later, never even got despatched, they never made contact to tell me why unless I constantly pursued them & I am now still waiting for a refund. For this reason I highly recommend the British Watch Company as I recieved my watch within 2 days of ordering.
