Our daughters suitcase was lost on 4th Sept. Three days later we were informed they had found it and we’re preparing it to ship to us. 4 days later and still no suitcase, the trail went cold. Lots... See more

Lost backpack disrupted holiday of a lifetime. Customer service appalling.
I flew British Airways from Heathrow to Santiago, in Chile on what should have been the holiday of a lifetime. BA lost my backpack. Having to initially deal with the problem meant I was late leaving Santiago Airport and missed a planned meet-up with friends. Rather than travelling on as planned, I had to stay in the same location waiting for them to find and forward my backpack. Trying to communicate via the e-mail address they gave me was a complete waste of time. After FOUR DAYS, they managed to get the bag to me. When I returned to the UK, I sent a letter of complaint via recorded delivery to their 'customer service' address. After FOUR MONTHS, I had received no response and took my complaint to the CEDR. The response from British Airways was a lengthy series of cut-and-paste legal jargon and case studies - with zero apology or offer of any compensation for the disruption caused to my holiday. I am now planning to take legal action. Any advice from anyone who has experienced similar problems would be much-appreciated.
duplicate booking with British…
I have a duplicate booking with British Airways. I have done all that I can think of to get this fixed. But the airline won’t budge. I initiallly booked a flight to London using booking.com.
Apparently when I booked the reservation, I mistyped my email address, using gNail instead of gmail. So, I never got the original confirmation. After a few days I went in and booked the flight again, simply because I had not gotten a confirmation of the original booking. The problem is, I booked both these flights with booking.com. They won’t cancel the double booking , and neither will British Airways.
Worst airline on the planet
The worst experience I ever had with an airlines. Funny fact: we chose BA over Chinese Airlines because we found it more trust worthy & wanted to support an EU company as EU citizens. Worst call ever.
We were simply trying to book an additional piece of luggage but the app didn’t allow us to it and it suggested to contact CS. We did, and they said we have to call them, but it was impossible as we were in Asia. We didn’t want to do it at the airport as you pay 30% more and their reaction: there is nothing we can do about it.
Don’t fly with BA, spread the message.

Outstanding Support Amid ATC Chaos
Outstanding Support Amid ATC Chaos – Huge Thanks to Corry!
Following the recent air traffic control disruption at Heathrow, my journey from Chennai to Newcastle was thrown into complete chaos. I was extremely anxious about getting things sorted, but Corry from British Airways customer support was an absolute lifesaver.
Despite how busy and stressful things clearly were behind the scenes, Corry was patient, calm, and incredibly helpful. She took the time to listen, smoothly rebooked my flights to 13 September, and thoughtfully arranged window seats for both flights of my journey. Her reassurance and professionalism completely took the panic out of the situation.
British Airways is lucky to have people like Corry representing them, especially during major travel disruptions. Thank you so much, Corry!

A national embarrassment
Yes it was a NATS related delay but no that does not excuse the pisspoor customer service. When something goes wrong, the airline has to have mechanisms in place to sort it. BA doesn’t have that. It’s a series of outdated systems held together with tape. A national embarrassment
60 year olds made to wait over 20 hours No Hotel. No hot drinks. No food. No Compensation
Flights all booked through BA
After a delayed connection flight in JFK, we were left in the outside terminal at 11.30pm and had to sit on the cold floor until 5.00am the next morning just to enter the terminal building. Not nice for a pair of 60 year olds. Flights delayed to 9.30am. Over all were delayed over 20 hours. No Hotel offered. No hot drinks. No food. On our return we sought compensation, which they have declined?? what sort of company does this to fair paying customers?
BA are a pathetic shadow of its former glory days, GBs flag carrier? Utter rubbish.

Disgraceful treatment of a lone mother and infant—followed by underhanded corporate tactics
I am writing this to warn other families about how British Airways truly operates. On flight BA662, the Head of Cabin Crew aggressively targeted me while I was traveling solo with my 21-month-old daughter. He loudly and falsely accused my baby of stealing food from other passengers' plates. The reality, explicitly verified on the spot by the passenger involved, was that she had kindly handed my daughter a complimentary packet of BA biscuits!
Instead of verifying the facts, the crew member chose to publicly humiliate and insult me, calling my child "annoying" and "grabbing food from people's trays" leaving me deeply traumatised. Compounding this distress, BA completely ignored my direct complaints for over a year. This 12-month wall of silence forced me to take them to formal CEDR adjudication. During the platform stage, BA formally committed to a £100 eVoucher as a gesture of goodwill. However, because the arbitrator's hands were tied by rigid aviation regulations regarding distress damages, the claim was not legally upheld. The moment the ruling was finalised, BA's customer relations team, Manjit Brar immediately snatched the £100 voucher back, stating the offer was withdrawn and they would no longer communicate with us. My husband escalated this directly to Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Lisa Tremble, who completely ignored his emails. BA chose to hide behind technical legal loopholes to save themselves £100 rather than show basic corporate decency to a family traveler. We are completely walking away from this airline and taking our family and corporate travel budget to competitors who respect mothers and young children. Avoid at all costs.
Why is everyone complaining about being…
Why is everyone complaining about being delayed due to NATS Air traffic control system malfunction? This has nothing to do with them, and guess what people, no that means they can not go anywhere, and they are not responsible for putting you up in hotels. Put your claim to NATS.
horrendous service
Absolutely horrendous service by the ground staff at Heathrow today.
I was booted off my flight today due to disruptions - this is fine if it was clarified and explained.
When I queried with the ground staff, Junaid who was in charge did not help, explain nor provide clarification. Instead he went on to condescend, mock and ask if 'i couldn't understand it is what it is'.
He proceeded to shout at other customers who seemingly was literally 'out of line' and barked commands at his colleague. He is clearly drunk on a power trip and I do not understand why this person is put in charge of customer facing position when he clearly did not do his job.
Disgusting behavior and treatment.
Very bad!
Very bad!! All in/out flights were canceled due to computer problems. Flight was 10 hours, then 5 1/2 hours on tarmac. Our connecting flight was canceled and our luggage was delayed and we spent the entire night in Heathrow waiting to find out where our luggage was and when we could get a flight out. Around 2am we got a text with our new flight, 7:20pm the following day. By then all hotels were sold out. Im 73 and around 2pm i asked a customer service agent to give me a pass to the lounge, she said I can't they are all full, I told her I just came from there and the aren't too full for 2 little old ladies and I was told to come to her for a pass. Then I was directed to another customer service area much further away, I said then please get me a wheel chair, said she couldn't do thar either and I would have ro walk about 2 blocks down the hall. I wasn't offered a meal or a drink or a hotel, we all were completely ignored. Their customer service is really bad, find someone else.

We were booked on a BA flight to LHR…
We were booked on a BA flight to LHR from Budapest, take off 14:40 pm.
NATs went down and we were held on the plane for two hours, the a/c failed.
Marched off to landside, put in queue for agent BA Menzies to transport to a Budapest hotel overnight. At around 9 pm they ditched us. We were left to find, book and get to a hotel at 9pm. No sign of BA, their communications were truly abysmal. Told a voucher for food, etc was on its way, never arrived. Told by BA of a 11:00 flight Wed., when we got there did not exist. Now on 14:40 flight, 24 hours later.
I haven't actually flow with then yet…
I haven't actually flow with them yet however I've had my flight booked for a while and it's not matching on there system. I've tried calling multiple times however the line is busy and haven't gotten through yet, just annoyed at such poor customer service and probably will avoid flying with them again
Edit: I have finally got through to customer service after the 4th try calling and the issue was dealt with very quick therefore I've added on 2 stars. It's still disappointing that it took that long to get through for such a simple fix and adding stress to a a holiday which is meant to be stress free.

Dreadful experience not fit the first second third or fourth time
I booked this journey a long time ago, only to be told at the last minute that I could not travel. I explained that I was due to attend a wedding the following day, but no suitable alternative was offered.
I repeatedly tried calling the customer-service numbers provided, but none of them connected. Being left stranded without meaningful assistance, despite having booked well in advance, has caused enormous stress and disruption.
The lack of communication and support has been completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking with this company.
Scummyest airline ever.
The most disgusting airline ever.
Make a claim then they send an email deliberately arriving in your junk folder saying unless you give them the information they requested they are closing the case.
But they never requested any, you are a load slime balls, at least the low cost airlines have a back bone unlike you.
Don't be put off by this, carry on with the claim and insist on the deadlock letter 8 weeks from the time you first contacted them unless them make full and final compensation by then.
Regardless of the letter you are entitled to take it to small claims court after this time.
Don't stand for any bs they give. Names signitures all delaying tacticks
Give them the 8 weeks and no more.
Where to start… after a day of…
Where to start… after a day of unprecedented delays we queued up for an hour to check in our luggage only to be met with Harvey about to leave his post! We pleaded with him to let us check in our luggage with 5 minutes to spare and, phew, he relented. What a day! So many people had their flights cancelled or delayed but there was no increase in staff to deal with frustrated and abandoned passengers.. everyone seemed to want to flee. We feel thankful that, hopefully, our flight is unaffected by the problems today but we had a tricky journey here and are thankful to Harvey for staying on a few moments to check us in. Hats off to a Harvey. BA.. you need more Harvey’s!

£700 for a Confirmed Ticket,Only to Be Put on Standby
I booked a British Airways flight at the last minute after my Norwegian flight was cancelled. The ticket cost £700, yet I was unable to check in online or reserve a seat. When I arrived at Heathrow, I was then told that I was on standby, despite having paid for a confirmed booking.
I understand that British Airways routinely oversells flights in the hope that some passengers will not turn up. I find it disgraceful that someone can pay £700 for a ticket and still arrive at the airport without knowing whether they will actually be allowed to travel.
I made a formal complaint, but British Airways’ response did little more than paraphrase what I had already told them and offer a generic apology. They did not properly explain why this happened, accept any meaningful responsibility, or offer compensation for the considerable anxiety and uncertainty caused. Their response felt dismissive and wholly inadequate.

I use BA every time even my experience…
I use BA every time even my experience with BA is very bad and high in cost. I do only for direct flight to HYD. This time it is much more worst. First flight seating it is worst but I don’t they can do anything with it. BA want more money from economy but less respect to them only. Second , I am not sure why they have given option ion select the food before the journeys. They don’t bother and they do their own style. While we going to HYd from LHR food is ok, but while coming back it is worst and very less food. Food is serious issue while coming back, still BA won’t do anything as they want money not customers who come through economy not sure about other classes. There flight is to Hyderabad which local language is Telugu, and they have only one Telugu movie. But you will see more Tamil and Malayalam movies what , they don’t do minimum research what movies to play in different flight. Waiting for Air India to start Hyd route but I got a feeling this BA won’t allow , politics. I am planning to change my route now

We only recognise men
I have tried to contact BA about this, but received no reply, and just discovered the case is 'closed'. I tick the box marked 'Ms' when booking and paying for flights for myself and grown up children, I am the lead passenger, only my email details are on the booking. Yet EVERY single email (to my address) is addressed to my son as the first male name on the booking. What century are we in. Has this happened to anyone else.
