My wife bought me a flight experience voucher in December costing £295. I have tried to book the flight by phone (never answer) by email (don’t reply). Their imposed deadline for use is now close. Does anyone have experience in receding a reply or recovering their money otherwise?

Really enjoyed it, the instructor was really good in explaining everything and what procedures we were going to do. Such a shame the flying school is closing down, one less thing Bristol won't have!

Very little communication. Difficult to get hold of anyone in the company.

I have known Bristol and Wessex for over 55 years originally as a pilot but more recently as a grandfather of an air cadet who is enormously enjoying her flying experience.

We bought the voucher for our son’s birthday. The first date we arranged had to be cancelled due to the weather but the second date worked out perfectly! It was a sunny day and he flew over Cheddar Gorge as well as various local towns, Baths and Bristol. He enjoyed learning about the plane and all the instruments on board, it was a wonderful experience!

Bought a voucher for my partners birthday last year , gave notice of unforeseen circumstances and unable to use voucher , a year later have contacted them as I wanted to know why and that having no refund meant no flying lesson for my partner and losing out on £249 absolutely outrageous , DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they will rob you of your money and not give any reasonable option to change or even extend the voucher.

Excellent food in cafe on site.

Rude and arrogant staff. They hurried my inquiry and acted as if I was interrupting their day. I would avoid if you don't want to be humiliated by a starving flight instructor. I will take my £10,000.00 business somewhere more polite. I'm not sure how Barry Bailey got an operations license from the CAA.

Would highly recommend. Fantastic experience and brilliant instructor. Great gift as a one off.

Got this experience for my 29-year-old son’s birthday and I went along as a passenger flew all over the city of Bristol including going over my house. It was absolutely fantastic experience which I would highly recommend.

Fantastic flight experience. Booked a 1hour lesson although it was a little late starting I never felt there was a rush and probably ended up over my allotted time. Got lots of hands on experience and even made a radio call to Bristol atc which was very unexpected. Expensive but highly recommended.

Always wanted to have an experience in a flight simulator and Bristol & Wessex did not disappoint. From the moment I arrived and met Troy it was a memorable experience. He was very welcoming and a felt informed at every point. I can’t wait to book another and then maybe a trail lesson in the real plane. Well done

We bought a floating lesson for our 12 year old child. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the day and the instruction was brilliant in explaining the detail but also letting our child feel like they had had a genuine flying experience. We will definitely do it again.

What a great experience I had on my first flying lesson today! A great Birthday gift from the family. Huge thank you to flying instructor Ben, who talked through all aspects of the plane and how it operates. I took full control of flying the plane following clear instructions for periods of the lesson. Ben planned the route with me - taking me over the fantastic sights of the Southwest and made it a great experience. Will definitely be back! Highly recommended!
