Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the quality of the products, citing issues such as manufacturing defects, watches breaking down prematurely, and components like straps and bezels failing. Reviewers also frequently reported problems with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to access, particularly when seeking repairs or assistance. The high price of the watches was a common point of contention, especially when coupled with perceived poor quality and expensive repair costs. Some people were satisfied with the service they received, highlighting helpful and knowledgeable staff in boutiques, and positive experiences with watch servicing that left their timepieces "like new." However, a small portion of people felt that the company's approach to customer relations was disrespectful, with some feeling pressured to purchase new models instead of having existing issues resolved.

Hello World !!

Hello World !!! I never done this before but I want everyone to know my experience with BREITLING Service in Connecticut for the US service center and let me know forget the Manager Sean !!!
First off I have a Navitimer and a link on the Bracelet Broke !!! My Fault nothing to do with the watch !!! I called and was given instructions to mail in !!! They showed the received it after a month !!! I heard that they normally take a few months to have your watch so I never heard from them because it showed was waiting for a technician to look at it !!! After 5 months of waiting I decided to call and they said we do not have your watch !!! I said I have a email that shows you have it and I can go to it at anytime and it shows it !!! Lady that answered phone puts Sean on the service manager and he said sorry we don’t have your watch !!! As I got off the phone I looked to see the website that shows it was there and it was taken down!!
I called a few more times and argued with Sean and he said nothing I can do !!!
Well after a few weeks I called back !!! Now it’s 6 months into this deal and I said I know you have this watch now you might of lost it but it was there and the website showed it and he said must of been a mistake !!! I then described the watch and he put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back and said I have your watch !!! It was mistagged !!! Mind you this is 100 percent there fault and I was told the watch was gone !!! He then made it sound as it was not his fault and they have it now !!! I asked for his manger and no one called me !!!
I said he should help me with this since I waited 6 months and was told it was lost !!
He ended up giving me a price of 4k to fix my watch and refinish it and I Tod him that was crazy !!! He said he would see what he could do with problems I’ve had and he said he would call me back in a few days !!! Never called me and sent email he could save me 15 percent !!!
I requested them to pack my watch and send it back !!!
If I could give them a negative 10 star I would !!! This is a Multi Million Dollar Watch Company and they treat customers as trash !!
I will never Purchase another BREITLING Watch again and I will make sure on Every Website they get my review !!!
As for Sean being there Manager !!! They should know who is representing there company in United States !!! Worst Customer Service I’ve ever dealt with in my life and truly had no remorse of this being there fault !!!

My Breitling watch that I paid £5,000…

My Breitling watch that I paid £5,000 for, keeps stopping. I wear it constantly and even have a video of it stopping and not able to start back up despite shaking my wrist, three times!!!

I have taken it back to Goldsmith 4 times now who send it off to Breitling who then say theres nothing wrong with it!!!!!! I'm seething.
They even had the cheek to say it could be my sedentary life style. grrrrrrr!!! OMG

Who in their right mind would pay that much for a watch, that isn't keeping time, stops every few days, even though its worn constantly.
do they really think I like walking back into the jewellers every few weeks since purchase, even cried in there, asking if they can please help me.
a luxury purchase has been a night mare from the beginning.
Breitling take your money then run for the hills. you got no chance of help. Surely if they consider the facts, they would see that nobody in their right mind would take the trouble and embarrassment in keep reporting the same problem and nothing being done about it, just for the hell of it!!!!
I have better things to do. instead an item that should of given me pleasure has turned out to be a bloody nightmare.

ive googled and seen there are any others with this problem.

DO NOT purchase a Breitling watch whatever you do. theres NO customer service and no one from the Breitling chain are interested in talking to you. despite the fact my watch is in guarantee. I honestly feel like I've been robbed.

it will be interesting to see if one of their representatives gets in touch now I've put it out there.

The worst possible watch brand in…

The worst possible watch brand in existence! MUST READ

I bought a rietling watch from biecester village as a gift for myself at the end of 2023, I bought a new strap online and wanted brietling to fit it for me in case I damaged it doing it myself. So I went to my closest branch in Westfield's Stratford, I gave my watch to a member of staff and he was struggling to change the strap, after the watch strap was changed, I inspected the watch to find deep scratches, almost dents on the caseback, where he changed the strap! I asked to speak to a manager and when the store manager arrived the staff member insisted I was lying and didn't cause the damage, I was furious 😤, the store manager accepted liability and send the watch off to be repaired. After 1 month of waiting I called the store for an update, they said it's still being repaired and gave me a customer service number to call. I called the customer service number for a month and everytime i rang up, I was given I different story. The final time I called they told me my watch was sent back to the store in Jan, so i was ringing the customer service number for a month and the watch was back in store.
I called Brietling store at Westfield's and they didn't have the watch, so at this point I don't know where the watch is after 2 months and niether did they. I had enough, I demanded a refund, the Westfields store said I would have to take the watch back to Bicester village. After arguing my point I left the store and got a call from the area manager who refused to refund me and said i will have to be patient and wait for the watch 😡.
Another month of waiting (at this point I've been exchanging emails and spoken to solicitors). Finally after 3 months, the watch came back to the store, I asked for pictures of the watch, the deep scratches was still there and there was more scratches around the caseback, so 3 months of waiting and there was more damage to the watch! I called the area manager again who decided to send the watch back to Brietling to try and repair it again, I refused, however he sent the watch anyway! I sent letters to Brietling store that damage my watch telling them i am taking legal action, they stated they were watches of Switzerland not brietling, ( SO WHO AM I TAKING TO COURT THEN). My solicitor said they have to place you in the same position you were in before the damage happened. 1 month later totaling 4 months the watch returned to the store, apparently fixed. I told them I don't care get me a refund, I was refused again! As a gesture of good will they offered me a new watch strap for the inconvenience, I laugh and thought they couldn't be serious, but they were.

Trying to play them at their own game, I asked them to extend my warranty as I lost months from them trying to fix the watch, they accepted and tried to get me to sign a non disclosure agreement referring to them not being able to fix the watch, I refused.

Here's the clever part they were watches of Switzerland and couldn't extend brietling warranty on my digital passport even though it said brietling on the shop in Westfield's and they are joined to Brietling. (now they couldn't place me in the same position as I was in) and didn't receive a response from the store after this point.

5 months in at this point. I got a email from the director of brietling, saying I couldn't be refunded, but I could have any new watch from Brietling Bicester village, I stated if I'm not going to receive refund then I want a brand new watch from 2024, I asked for him to send me a list of available watches.
I asked how would I know the watch was from 2024 as there is no way to date the watch (the date on caseback is when is was manufactured, it said 2022, so it wasn't from 2024).

My watch was discontinued so I pick the closest model to mine ( i could just sell it, i had enough of Brietling) , I then had a reply asking how I would like to pay the difference -_-. My blood boiled, I said why would I pay the difference when you damaged my watch and received no response.

7 months in I started calling the director asking if he was going to respond, I was finally refunded my money.

This isn't a luxury company in the slightest, using any sleazy tactik to try and avoid refunding me, the service was awful, I will never buy from this company again. DISGUSTING

10 MTHS & COUNTING SINCE BREITLING DAMAGED MY WATCH

A simple battery replacement has turned into a 10 month (and counting) saga.

I sent my watch to Breitling via an authorised stockist at the end of January 2024 for a battery replacement. After a few weeks, they contacted the jewellers to say that they had damaged the case of my watch whilst replacing the battery. They gave me the choice of leaving the watch with them in Switzerland whilst the part was on order, or to have the watch back and then send it off again when the part came into stock. Given that they weren’t expecting the part until JULY, I chose the latter.

Fast forward to July and I asked the jewellers to call Breitling to see if they now had the part in stock. They were told that the part still wasn’t in stock and it was now expected in SEPTEMBER.

At the beginning of October, the jeweller called Breitling again and this time was told that the part was finally in stock. My watch was sent off on 16th October.

On 13th November I asked the jeweller to chase the repair and they were told it would be completed by the end of the first week of DECEMBER.

On 2nd December, I again asked the jeweller to chase the repair and, unbelievably, they were told by Breitling that the part was not in stock!!

Since then, I have been calling the Breitling UK customer service office for updates/information. Whilst they are very sympathetic and helpful, it’s now a week since I first called them and there’s still no definitive information on when the repair will be complete (although they have told me the new case is actually in stock).

Last week I also emailed the Breitling UK MD, but haven’t had so much as an acknowledgement of my email.

During this whole sorry saga, to add insult to injury, the warranty has expired.

I’m honestly speechless at the dreadful customer service.

As many others below

As many others below, never ever consider to buy Breitling watch even on picture. Ridiculous quality, after 3 months in use, I had to ask for repair, explanation “incorrect set up” with 5,5 weeks in service, so I tried to sell that piece, new watch price tag £7400, best offer to buy used watch after 3 months in use …. £3500. My big mistake in 21st century buying Breitling!!! Avoid, safe money and go for Rolex

Terrible, slow and poor watch service

This review is for the service, not the watch.
I sent my Endurance Pro to be serviced, and it's not cheap, but I thought I would get a proper professional job done. After they received it they said that they would look at it in 4 weeks... What!!? Why would they want it sent simply to sit on it for nearly a month?
When I sent it, it had a dirty rubber strap, it was sent back and not even cleaned. Never using them again

No responsibility for defects.

I purchased a new Breitling Navitimer 41 Automatic watch with a leather strap in March 2024. Within 6 months of normal use the loop on the leather strap split and separated and was no longer fit for purpose.

I contacted customer services who advised “straps are not covered under warranty”.

I was disappointed and astonished that it was being suggested anyone would spend a large sum of money on the purchase of a quality brand such as Breitling and accept that within such a short period of time in purely normal use the watch is not fit to wear.

There were no defects showing on any other part of the strap so I returned it to the service department for them to examine and satisfy themselves it was a product fault and replace as I believed Breitling to be a responsible, quality business. I received a response to say the fault was due to wear and if I wanted a new strap I would have to pay full price, nearly £400 for one. Furthermore, I had to pay £18 just to have the watch returned to me.

I have been an admirer of Breitling for many years and have 3 other of their watches.
This will definitely be my last!

Breitling is done… for years now

Breitling is done… for years now and it is getting worse every new year.

Before, this company had a nice reputation regarding the quality of the watches which standed in the time and just needed to have sometimes a refreshment. Now, the new models look like fake watches (weight, finitions…) but the prices have increased… An unjustified price for a poor and weak quality.

They are putting a lot in their communication especially this year for their anniversary. I have been invited to several events but even though I spent nice moments with friends and acquaintance and that we were well received, the watches they propose now is a scandal along with the price they propose. In the field of the experts, this is a general conclusion unfortunately. When you buy a new Breitling, its value lows in the coming weeks (sometimes 50% of the price)… Not a good investment at all.

On septembre, I went to the event at the pop-up of Paris at the Champs Elysée, the presentation made by this young Breitling employee was long and very self-concentrated (according to him he was “the” expert of the Breitling heritage and “his” team he leaded has made everything perfect…)… just learn to be more modest. In general Breitling has brought to the watchmaking industries years ago but now and for recent years, they have brought nothing… They have opened the market to a larger public with different new models but the quality is lower and over.

To not be disappointed, buy Rolex, Omega, Tag, Perrelet…

A really enjoyable experience.

Visited the Breitling store in Regent Street London to view the 140 year road show and source a new strap. A really enjoyable experience, exhibition was very interesting, seeing the development of their timepieces through the years. Mohammed found me the perfect strap and could not have been more helpful, going above and beyond to ensure that everything was exactly right, and the price was very reasonable.

Aware of any service or repair or extra charges from Breitling

Had quote for service/repair for a chronospace watch which Breitling in addition to a service also quoted £540 for a new steel strap. Agreed with quote and paid straight away, given a completion date of beginning of September 2024 and to monitor this on line.Nearly 2 weeks after the stated completion date I phoned, telephone stated on training day but left a message. Several days later email stated no strap available but offered a discount on a leather one, this I declined.....this the first correspondence from Breitling. Replied and asked for original strap and return the watch. Nothing heard again, I had to chase and request a refund of the cost of strap, at no time was any effort made to refund me prior to this. Agent stated would check and see if a refund could be issued and return of my watch. Several calls later, over some days the watch and refund was actioned. Original strap was repaired by an ex-Breitling dealer, at no time was any apology offered or even a small compensation offered. Several Breitling agents appeared embarrassed by management attitude of not willing to refund cost of a strap that was not supplied but paid for.. I do wonder if a proper service was carried out but one must assume it was......Be very careful with this company and as ex Aircrew this is a real disappointment to myself and many others as they use professional aircrew as a marketing tool..Wrote to the company and no reply.

Horrible staff

Horrible staff.
The watches are expensive with a poor quality which is a shame considering the investment. Some people and experts advised me to avoid Breitling but I finally made the experience by myself... Mistake. Big mistake.
When I came back to one of their shop for claiming a change or a reparation of the navitimer, they were all cold and impolite... when they were so nice before I bought the watch ! Once it is paid, they become horrible and impolite and do no care about you anymore. Shame.

Choose another Brand

I have had my chronospace serviced locally before and with a new battery was charged about $65. The jeweler who serviced it no longer services Breitling or sells their watches because of service issues with the brand. I sent the watch to Breitling in Connecticut and they wanted $850.00, no negotiating so I had it sent back. I did find a very reputable watch shop locally who did the job for $25!!!
