Dear sirs,

Dear sirs,

To whom this may concern,

I called last week on 17/7/17 to book a air conditioning call out as my system had broken down I spoke to A staff member and he explained to me that it would be £50 call out charge and £50 labour for 2 hours to try and get the ac working again.

I was told to email him to book the job in Te company confirmed on the 18/7/17 by email to say a engineer would be with me today.

On the day i called once for a update with no clear answers.I waited and called again and spoke to A staff member who explained to me that I must make a pre payment of £100 before any engineer willl be sent out to me which was a surprise.

Payment was made and it was explained to me that a manager would contact me in 10mins and a engineer will be with me within the hour which didn't happen.

After waiting 2 hours I called again for a update but I had no clear answers from braywhite.

In the meantime I received a email from braywhite to say the manager has spoken to the engineer and after he finishes his current job he will be with me.

The engineer finally arrived but he explained he didn't have ladders to get on the single story flat roof. So I had to use my own ladders for the engineer to get on the roof.

After 45min/1hr the engineer final professional diagnosis was that 2 ac compressors was broken beyond repair and 2 further ac units needed a pressure test and leak test and re gas. The engineer switched the power off to the broken AC compressors and left the other two AC units on.

He said some from the braywhite office will send me a quote for the repair work. After a call to prompt braywhite for my quote it was sent over to me 1hr or so later £950+ vat and if the leak could not be repaired there and then a further invoice would be raised for the extra work which in my opinion I thought was outrageous.

So the next day I called around different contractors for a second opinion.

The contractor visited the site and got 3/4 AC units working PLEASE see the work completed below.

1x re charged
1 x minor panel communication fault.

All this work was completed for a fraction of the price braywhites wrongly diagnosed quote. I ended up paying under £200 with change.

I feel that braywhite engineer on the day was very incompetent.

I thought that braywhite was a reputable company but it seems I was definitely misinformed.

I would like a representative from braywhite to respond. Who haven't replied.

I Also have proof of payment and job description of the company that completed the work.

PLEASE PLEASE STAYAWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. TO DATE THERE HAS BEEN NO APOLOGIES OR FULL REFUNDS AS THEY SAY...
