I ordered the laptop on the 13th of Feb this year. I paid for express delivery. It was showing in stock on the site. I rang the CS team who assured me it was in stock. It arrived on the 27th of Feb. I had to email or web chat with the CS teams over 5 times checking for updates and never received much info.

I've had a bit of a disappointing returns experience from Box, which, I'll admit, I brought upon myself. But the way it was handled was somewhat concerning.
My initial contact was just before the deadline, and it turns out that unlike other retailers, it is a hard returns deadline, unlike others such as Scan or Overclockers which have shorter windows to request a return, but then allocate two weeks to return upon informing them.
This misunderstanding was purely on me, but a return was approved when I requested it. I asked for extra info on the deadline to be certain, as the original email did not say anything regarding that, only for the rep to say the day after that the deadline had passed by then. The original approval of this infeasible return comes off to me as quite negligent. By the time Box would have received this parcel, even with next day delivery and no unfortunate delays, this would have been rejected, and likely shipped back to me at my own expense.
The rep offered to extend the return window, though informing me that I would incur a restocking fee. It took two emails expressing my disappointment in the communication, both for what's detailed in the above paragraph and for the absence of the fee amount, to actually know how much the fee would be, and I was only told after an extended return was already approved. Nobody should be expected to ship something back without this crucial information.
If support was more upfront and transparent, I would have happily given a four or even five star review despite my disappointment. Instead, crucial details were obfuscated - I would have been subject to expenses without warning if I had followed the procedure given to me without question, either from the item being shipped back to me or being hit with restocking fees without warning, and I shouldn't have to ask more than once what a given fee is. Preferably, I wouldn't have needed to ask at all.
Something as simple as "Hello, unfortunately your return would normally be invalid as it would be received by us outside the 30 day window. However, I've gone ahead and approved an extended return for you, though please do be aware that you will incur a xx% restocking fee, or £xx.xx, should you wish to proceed." would have gone a long way.

I ordered a monitor from them, at the time of delivery they failed to tell me it was out of stock even though they still offered and charged me for next day delivery.
There was an issue with the courier who failed to attempt delivery and I now have to wait for the monitor to be returned to the warehouse by the courier before they will resend or give me my money back despite none of this being my fault or error

Item was out-of-stock but hadn’t been updated online. I was updated the following Tuesday, after raising with them directly.
Customer team took half a day of business hours to respond. Hours are 9am-5pm as it stands.
3 stars, not 4 - as they had to be prompted. Customer service was good once that had been done. They were very apologetic and offered to help me find another product.

Generally well-received company, but I paid for Next-Day delivery on a Friday morning (11:07), and on the following Monday (19:52) the order hasn’t even been dispatched yet.
Really annoyed, as am keen to support UK businesses, but all the big US-owned corps would have had my tech on my doorstep many days earlier!
Not cool at all.
