My love affair with hostas really got going when I started ordering from Bowden's,--some 25 years ago! Their customer service has always been first class, and the quality of their hostas has always been superb. And they are all carefully and lovingly packaged. They are a real family-run company, who have done so much to encourage hosta growers. Highly recommended.

One of the worst online retail experiences I've had for a long time. I ordered several Hostas and Ferns 7 weeks ago and still have not received more than half of them - even though they were all listed as available at the time of purchase. Their customer service is appalling - either being completely ignored by email, phone and voicemail, or given platitudes and excuses that still turn out to be untrue. I have paid them hundreds of pounds, not received what I ordered, not been told when I might expect them, not been kept up to date, told I will receive things I haven't and not been offered any refund whatsoever. Avoid at all costs. See reviews elsewhere for more evidence of this - people having to resort to CCJs to get their money back.

Update: A refund for these items was eventually offered, and some credit as goodwill - but it was far, far, far too late; such a bad experience.

I can’t fault this company, so pleased with the hostas I’ve purchased. All have been received quickly and in fantastic condition. Everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and professional. I can’t recommend this company enough.
