Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service . Would not buy anything again .
They won’t post your review if it’s negative
After making purchases that were not satisfactory, and hassling a cumbersome return, getting charged a fee for said return, they asked me to leave a review. When I left a less than stellar review, they the sent an email asking me to verify my email. But they did not include any way to do so. Therefore, my review was not published. Now I understand why most of their reviews are positive.
First time buying, will be my last
I’ve had a really disappointing experience ordering from BOSTON PROPER.
It was my first time ordering, and the dress was cut very differently than the picture depicted. Upon requesting a return, I learned that they do not return shipping fees. OK no big deal, but then you also get DINGED with a fee to return something that doesn’t work. They sent me a QR code that did not work in the FedEx store. 40 minutes later, and three QR codes later, we finally had to try to print the label. We finally got it done and then I came home to a delivery of the same dress again!I then had to package it and go back to the FedEx store and go through the inconvenience of returning a dress I did not order.
Again, I was charged for shipping and then I was charged again at the FedEx store to package so not only was the dress misrepresented on the site, but the hassle of returning it was time-consuming and costly
Refusing to accept return
I mailed a return using my own label via USPS. They did not "claim" the package, and it was returned to me. So not only did I pay the postage to send it to them, but I had to pay the postage for having it returned to me. I had processed the return within 10 days of purchase. When I contacted them about why it was not claimed, they said they did not accept USPS, only UPS and FedEx and that I could no longer return the item since it was past the 30-day return policy. They even acknowledged that I had processed the return through their site in the return window.

I have been a Boston Proper customer for more than 20 years. I was more than disappointed when a $160 jacket that I bought Began to shred the second time I wore it. I contacted customer service. Because it had been 30 days since I purchased it and it was worn, they refused to do anything about it, siting that it was worn, which speaks to my point. If close fall apart, the second time that you put them on, they shouldn’t be sold. Boston Proper is losing a 20 year customer because other refusal to stand behind their garment.

I’m so unhappy with Boston Proper! I bought a dress and when it arrived the zipper would not unzip. I called them and emailed them and they asked me to send pictures of the dress. I did and never heard back. I checked with them for an update and still didn’t hear back. I started a new report by email and I heard back and they said my time had run out to get a refund!!! I am a huge Boston Proper customer and if this is the way they want to treat customers, I will go somewhere else. I could take the dress to a seamstress for a new zipper but I don’t even know if the dress fits because I can’t unzip it to try it on! Very improper way to treat proper customers!!

I bought a dress for a big event more than 30 days in advance. The zipper broke within an hour of having it on. I wrote and they requested more info and agreed to give me a credit because I bought it more than 30 days. Turns out AI agreed. They respond to complaints without humans. After not getting credit they turned it to a real person and now told they will not fix the defective merchandise.
Please beware of this company!!
E-GiFt Card Buyer beware
I purchased two egift cards a gift for my daughter. Its been four days and the cards still have not been delivered . Ive made three cards regarding this purchase. The rep ended up giving me the gift card numbers to pass to my daughter. This is a very tacky way to present a birthday present. Im very disappointed with this entire purchase.

just received the shirt, and was very happy that it fit ( size 10), as your shirts are not cut like Chico's and we have to keep our fingers crossed that it will fit....so based on this order, I just ordered the same shirt in Off White.......
Petite lengths PLEASE!
While I have made this suggestion several times I’ll try again. Please carry petite lengths for dresses, pants, etc. I’m 5’3” and the only pants that are available to me are the cropped pants and sometimes short in the Beyond Travel. I would love to be able to order one of your dresses 💛

Have Not Received my First Time Order!
I placed an order (first time ordering) on 7/30/2025. I received my order confirmation via email and estimated arrive date of August 2, 2025. I have not received my order, nor have I heard from Boston Proper concerning any delays. When I used the tracking number it shows deliver of August 2, 2025, however it shows “undelivered”. I have reached out via email and hope to hear from them soon and hopefully they will respond with a solution.
