New 'reputation' requirements like they use in China require you to gain rep. This is impossible for new users so they remain hidden from others.

Got banned for no reason. Didn't break any rules and got banned.

Terrible platform. It strongly encourages pillarization and as a result people end up standing directly opposed to each other. Very little respect. Because of the voting system, a standard is created that is far removed from reality.

A very toxic community, a lot of fake information, hard to find anything you can trust, filters don't work properly

This app is total garbage. Every time I create an account it's Shadow banned within a day, even when I don't post anything or comment on anything. I have never posted anything religious, offensive or done anything wrong to justify being banned. There are numerous accounts with offensive posts that are fine apparently. It's a joke if a site and not worth wasting your time with

My Reddit account u/mammothcommon5272 was wrongfully suspended all cause i told a guy not to post religious crap on a gta 5 club it was completely unrelated. The mods from gta club deleted his post the guy was rude to me so i told him to take his religious crap somewhere else nothing more i got suspended for that and my appeal denyed i cant understand why i submitted many appeals and it got denyed so this is what they do to Americans in America which is completely wrong i give Reddit 0 stars or -999 which is below 0.

If you are looking for an open platform with unbiased discussions and intellectual diversity, this is no longer the place. What used to be a great community forum has devolved into a heavily policed environment where independent thought is systematically suppressed.

The platform's moderation system is completely broken. Community managers and sub-forum moderators operate with severe bias, banning and muting anyone who doesn't align with a specific narrative. There is absolutely no room for alternative perspectives or traditional values; voicing them results in immediate mass-reporting and account shadowbanning by coordinated groups.

To make things worse, the platform's upvote/downvote algorithm encourages heavy groupthink, completely burying objective arguments and constructive criticism. It has become a highly toxic environment for anyone who prefers critical thinking over mindless conformity. Don't waste your time creating an account here if you value transparent, fair, and open communication. One star is a generous rating.

Reddit banned me for racism... I just wrote that the Islam isn't that tolerant to women and gays and so. They even insulted me, what the hell?

I have been using Reddit as a platform to share experiences, publish content, and engage with communities. However, my experience has been deeply frustrating due to a combination of technical failures and a complete absence of real human support.
The problems I faced were systematic and persistent. I was completely blocked from editing my profile, adding links, or uploading images — basic functions that any modern platform should support without issue. Every attempt to publish a post ended in either a server error or silent removal, with no explanation provided and no notification sent. This was not a one-time glitch. It happened repeatedly, across multiple sessions, over an extended period of time.
What made the situation significantly worse was the total absence of support. Reddit does not offer a real email support channel. Their help center relies entirely on automated systems that generate generic responses without actually reading or understanding the user’s specific situation. Even their official Twitter support account was inactive and unavailable when I attempted to reach out through that channel.
I contacted support multiple times, provided full details about my account, explained the issues clearly, and received nothing useful in return — only robotic, pre-written responses that had no connection to my actual problem. No human ever reviewed my case. No one followed up. No resolution was offered.
A platform that operates at Reddit’s scale — with hundreds of millions of users worldwide — has a clear responsibility to provide functioning, human-accessible support. When basic account functions are broken and there is no way to escalate or resolve issues through any real channel, the platform becomes unusable and untrustworthy.
Reddit must invest in real human support infrastructure, provide clear and accessible complaint channels, and stop hiding behind automated systems that protect the platform at the expense of its users.

Free speech is not allowed. I got banned for saying GLP1s cause hair loss. I guess they make quite a bit of money from these companies so they keep the bad hush hush. That cess pool is filled with bots. Mods are power hungry and broke. They don't have lives.

Honestly, Reddit has become extremely frustrating to use. It doesn’t seem to matter whether your account is new or years old, accounts get suspended or restricted for no clear reason. You can make a normal comment or post something completely harmless, and still end up facing account actions. The moderation system feels inconsistent, unfair, and lacks transparency. Users spend time building karma and engaging with communities, only to risk losing everything unexpectedly. Definitely one of the most disappointing platform experiences I’ve had.

Blackpeopleofreddit, blackpeopletwitter, blackpeoplememes, blackmentalhealth, blackmenofreddit, blackwomenofreddit are all moderated by b.w. or l.g.b.t.q.Ytees. These subs are horribly moderated and heavily discriminatory. If you dont compliment democats then you get banned. I have had users hurls slurs at me just for disagreeing or confirming information yet they banned me for 7 days even though the user is still active hurling slurs at everyone. The auto mod is piss poor and the human mods are simply racist and have nothing else to do.

Since reddit went public its been a cesspool or far right, zionist, hinduvta and all other kinds of extremism. Take r/worldnews for example, they spew the most islamophobic stuff that mirrors right wing twitter accounts and the mods only take action agains tonly those who spoke against such extremism and reddit platforms them by making it a default subreddit for news.

There is no moderation for moderators. Moderators think fo themselves as gods, asking for letters of appology to unban someone, especially the big subreddits like r/worldnews, r/pics or r/funny. When you do submit a letter, they still keep you banned.

Posts are removed on their discretion. Posting rules are vague as can be. Communities that challenge reddits narrative of zionism, white nationalism, or other extremism are subdued and don't even make it into 'Popular'.

Before there used to be r/all where most upvoted content would show regarldess of where it was from but that has been removed so that content which reddit dont approve of can't be seen. An example of this is when US and Israel bombed a girl's school. When they didn't know it was a school, the post on r/combatfootage was shown every where and when everyone found out was girls school every post that said it was girls school was not allowed on r/popular. Even the "trending" tab got taken off because attrocities by Israel and US kept shwoing up there becaus eof popular demand.

Just glance at r/conservative, r/worldnews or r/indiaspeaks to see how depraved the content is nowadays.

I hope someone makes a better reddit, which actually was the old reddit before the extremist take over.

Reddit, more like Dreaddit. The layout is boring, people can't respect other people's opinions, toxic people plus it's a lame and bland website.

They blocked access to the domain in mobile web, and demand you get an app if you want to view their page!? Insane.
It used to be a good site, the only app I ever used to access Reddit was rif, because it made the user experience much better. I will never use the reddit app, not just because it's bad, but also because they're trying to take the choice away from me. It's easier to stay away from reddit than use their "Tik Tok ripoff" official app.
