So guys

So guys, i am using bitpanda almost over 5 Years and today i decided to close my account. Unfortunately i had today 737 Euros in my account and just wanted to exchange the crypto with another crypto. After i done with the exchange, i lost almost 47 Euros. After that i needed to do one last transaction and for that i lost another 50 euros. I lost 97 Euros with only 2 transactions altough i didnt even had a big amount of a money. Not even 1000 Euros. It is enorm.

I am sorry bitpanda but i am going to another Platform. You lost me.

I took screenshots offcourse. If i must, i share. Dont push it Pandas.

Bitpanda gratuitously blocked a transaction, gave no real justification, refunded to a wallet I have no access to after weeks, and washed their hands of it

I’m sharing this as a warning because Bitpanda’s handling of my case has been unacceptable.

I sent an ETH deposit to Bitpanda from Sorare. Accounts on both platforms are on my name, both companies are EU-based and EU-regulated. This was the third/fourth such transaction over the past 4-5 years.

Bitpanda rejected the deposit after the fact hiding behind “Travel Rule” language with zero actionable explanation. In their last email they then changed the rationale to “outside of Bitpanda’s risk appetite” whatever that f****** means.

After weeks of pushing them and automated/empty replies, they finally refunded the ETH. Only to refund it to a custodial Sorare wallet, which is obviously not my personal wallet. They told me it's not their problem anymore.

I find this unacceptable on so many levels.

They blocked the transaction for no good reason. They were never able to justify it besides empty one-lines explanations. When asked for a timeline, they literally refused to provide a timeline and stated that it could take months.

They refunded it to what is very clearly a Sorare custodial address and told me to f*** off and solve the situation by myself. 0 warnings, 0 questions on where/how to refund. Overall, I already had to spend hours to get to this point, and I don't know how many more I'll need to spend to get my ETH back (if that we'll even be recoverable). They literally told me that it's not their problem anymore.

And to provide some additional context, I have been using Bitpanda for 6+ years to DCA. Of the 60+ transactions of the past 5 years, the 3-4 I've done with Sorare are probably the only ones that are not for DCA. Never sold anything, only bought and moved in batches to a Ledger. I can hardly imagine a more "run-of-the-mill" user than myself. And this is how they treat you. It's despicable.

Better read what you are signing!

UPDATE: Bitpanda is now bullying me to disclose my personal information even though I have sent Trustpilot proof of my review. Stay away from them. Now down to one star. Zero star not possible.

So I got an email requesting some kind of extra verification step. Which is a good thing. However this step had MANDATORY acceptance of several very confusing and complex legal statements. You really should read those - they are not in the interested of customers and include some highly questionable practices. Have a good AI analyze them for you if you are not experiecned in this kind of stuff

Funds Trapped Due to SMS Verification and Country Restrictions

I created my account in 2021 while living in Spain and deposited funds normally. After moving to Brazil, I lost access to my Spanish phone number, and now I cannot receive SMS verification codes to log in. Since Bitpanda does not support Brazilian residents, I am unable to update my details or withdraw my funds. I am only asking for access to withdraw my own money, but the process has been extremely frustrating.
