be careful if you dont do trading and use them as a wallet. they do super strict kyc prosedure and frozen your assets.. if you cant answer all, its gone.

Bitfinex exchange is thief and fraud exchange, stole all my coins by delisting, here is our message, never deposit any coin or money to this fraud

Had an urgent issue and within the same day the email support resolved the problem. Back and forth email exchange at least ten in one day. Very impressive in my opinion.

i wait now 3 month to withdrawl my money... verification team dont answer since 2 week Although all sorts of available documents are available and more is constantly being demanded... It was an absolute impudence, in the past there were no problems at all... I am supposed to provide evidence from 2013-2015, which is impossible. I have a basic+ verification and should supposedly be able to pay out, but after about 20x trys I gave up. I hope there will be a class action lawsuit at some point. I don't believe I'll get my money back anymore. It's an impudence like I've never experienced on a crypto exchange. SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!

I contacted two other helpers and it took me an hour and half but I didn't get answer. However Jonas answered me and found right solution. Others didn't find why red dot under AMOUNT XRP of order form in Trading tab. Jonas is the best!

After 6 years of service (I have used the exchange occasionally) they hold my funds for 3 weeks. I have provided All information I could. The verification Team does not reply for one week. If they allow me to withdraw, I will update this reviews

Bitfinex CANNOT be trusted.
When you withdraw a crypto from the exchange, it shows your withdrawal request is under "Processing" for more than 48 hours. Even after 2 day, it still shows "Processing". Does it take more than 6hrs to process your withdrawal request or it's just giving excuses and red tapes to make it difficult for you to withdraw such that you can only deposit in to their exchange and prevents you from withdrawing. I have been using Bitfinex for more than 7 years in the past but recent developments and poor support makes me to give up on this exchange. Don't waste time in Bitfinex and just move on to better Xchanges which is not few.

Verification for just Basic Plus could not even get through and process is broken such that they wants you to provide full verification and they keep going in circles. A broken failed process and with no escalation process to escalate the matter to higher management. This process for BASIC PLUS verification should be immediate and should not take more than 30secs according to their website. But in real fact, I could not even get a BASIC Plus (the lowest verification level) and now is 5 days and never get solved. A broken support system. Broken and failed verification process that some even took 6 years and still could not get verified.

Their support is one of the worst. The Live chat are not even empowered and does not have even basic access to account info to solve account related issues or compliance issues. But need you to fill up an online form. Totally no value add from the Live Chat. The form is also slow and unresponsive and process is broken that goes in circles. No escalation process to higher management to solve the issues. Disappointing support.

Just look at the reply from Bitfinex just solidifies that they don't even care about what problems user are facing; they just try to justify themselves and to prop up ratings instead of using that time to genuinely improve and solve issues that customer face. Totally not customer focus. The reply shows that they do not care about what customer experience and fail to put themselves into the customer's shoes and see from the customers perspective. Instead they wanted others to conform to their unreasonable requirements and broken or failed or unrealistic/unreasonable requirements. The positive reviews by others does not reflect the real customers' experience. Looks more like many paid Shills who are paid to prop up the reviews rating.

It is an excuse and a lie to say that Account related live chat support would compromise security. Yet Banks were able to provide live chat supports that could solve accounts related issues and security compliance issues through live chats and the promptness in providing quick solutions through live chats and 1800-hotline from bank are evidence that what Bitfinex replied and claim is a lie.

Unreasonable Verification process that requires super sharp 6MB High Res photo of Selfie and ID and a piece of paper which many of our home computers and equipments does not have that capability of focusing and control to meet their unreasonable demands. They Delay withdrawal and make it impossible for us to trade and withdraw and lost lots of money because of their unreasonable poor support and service. Some took 6 years and still could not verify. In that case setup a local branch in our city to do manual verification which is the most secure. Or supply us with the DSLR and Indoor studio lighting that is setup to meet their unreasonable "stringent" requirements. They just Unlist the crypto and demand us to withdraw by today and did a withdrawal hold our our account such that we cannot immediately withdraw. They just find excuse to reject your verification and comes up with unreasonable red tapes so that they could stop you from withdrawing your funds and steal your assets. All they want is to steal our tokens and cause us to loss money and loss assets to them. Their platform keeps changing and make it difficult to use and access. The Live Chat was recently added which is nice but yet they did not empower the live chat staff to solve much of the problems. The Live Chat staff were not given necessary access and rights to solve customers problems and many of our problems were not solved through Live Chat. They still require us to fill up a manual form to submit our request. Very Very poor service and support. Reading through some other reviews of 1 star (very poor rating) on Bitfinex, I do agree with them that it is easy for you to deposit into Bitfinex, but difficult or almost impossible to withdraw your assets from Bitfinex. I encounter this today as they use red tapes and unreasonable requirements to make it difficult if not impossible for you to withdraw your funds and assets from Bitfinex causing many to view them as a scam and thief

Just great to have their support in complicated market conditions so we are trading successfully throughout! Various teams worked quickly and efficiently throughout while explaining plainly. If you are a trader you are able to concentrate on your trades knowing that processes needing to happen do so without you having to worry about them.

Got this basic scam message straight from their own verified support email. Beware of this company.

"Please note that ETP was delisted and withdrawals closed, our only available option is to recover the tokens.

As stated here, if you have not withdrawn the funds before the date and time specified, Bitfinex team can attempt to recover your funds.

A fee of $500 on full or partial recovered funds will be applied. The fee will be deducted from your Exchange wallet after which, the recovery process will begin. If you would like us to proceed with the recovery, please make sure you have enough funds available for fee deduction."

They make it very difficult to delete your account.

I can see that i am not the only one having issue getting back an account. Also i don't where did they find the support but never, never experienced such a disrespectful "support" saying that i am a liar. Few years ago i helped to creat an account to mother. No issue paying them money but few months ago after she wanted to learn something for her old days its just impossible because she coudnlt send her selfie with handwrited justification with a high resolution(but clear and visible) also i had to translator everything because she's older French lady and don't speek english. This is just crazy, they pretend to be a great exchange blablabla but the support is simply rude, the rules just changed not even giving a chance to adapt. Really can't recommend. Just stick to your ledger guya

They holding my crypto hostage under the guise of compliance. Have about 1500$ worth that can not be withdrawn since 2017/18. They didn't seem to mind accepting the crypto.
They want proof of employment, purchase, transaction hashes, where the money came from to buy my crypto, etc, etc, etc. All this for 1500 bucks worth of crypto.

The ticket has been open for years(896128). You have my driver's license, passport, AND 3 years' worth of my Notice of assessment from the Canadian Tax Revenue Agency. You still refuse to release my crypto! Stop with your LIES BITFINEX!
Do NOT give your money to them. It will no longer be yours.

Had an issue accessing my account which required my proving my ownership.
I proved my case and the issue was resolved and access gained withing 3 hours of my request being sent. Excellent service for a Sunday night customer service request.

Impossible to verify my account. It was no issue when I deposited funds, but now that I want to withdraw, all of the sudden my ID selfie is never "clear enough". Three attempts and all I ever get from customer service is a canned response. I'm hoping this isn't another liquidity issue problem.
