Poor customer service
It's hard to review the product when I can't even use it. I purchased it with the caveat that I would be able to download the calibration file. Upon arrival, I set everything up to measure in my home theater, and proceeded to go and download my cal file, when I learned I have to submit a form and wait on Beyerdynamic to send me the file. Almost makes me want to just return the microphone. The company is too lazy to provide a database with these cal files. They should take note from miniDSP who provides a place to enter your mic's serial number and download the cal file. Why make your customers wait? Make zero sense... and this is poor customer service.
Surpsingly disappointing
At first I was very excited about beyerdynamic due to their german production and seemingly high quality. It's cliché but the "Made in Germany" has not disappointed me in the past, well until now. The build quality of their headphones is absolutely terrible and cheap... The sound is the only saving grace which is why I put it at 2 stars but the low quality of the headphones themselves almost made me choose 1 star anyway. Now I bought another pair from a competitor and can say: At this price point the product of beyerdynamic is not good/worth it.
Refund pending for 2 months
I had a terrible experience with the delivery of an order from the official website of Beyerdynamic placed in Spain, handled by CTT Express, apparently operating through DHL.
From the beginning, the courier did not allow delivery to a pick-up point for no clear reason. For weeks, I tried to arrange a home delivery, but dealing with CTT Express was a nightmare: an unreachable customer service and an extremely buggy website made impossible to manage delivery options.
I then asked help to Beyerdynamic for support and I was just told they had no way of contacting the courier they themselves chose.
The situation went on with repeated “attempted delivery” notifications that never actually happened. Then, after spending an entire day at home waiting, I received a notification stating the package had been successfully delivered even though it was not.
I immediately contacted Beyerdynamic again to make the situation clear and they just asked me to sign a "DHL investigation document", promising a refund within 10–21 days.
It has now been TWO MONTHS now, and I have received no refund, no updates, and no accountability.
I paid for a product I never received and for a shipping service that clearly failed.
The prolonged delays and lack of responsibility really feel like an attempt to exhaust the customer into giving up. After reading the many negative reviews here, I’m no longer surprised,I just wish I had checked earlier.
I still hope to receive my refund, but based on this experience, I definitely cannot recommend Beyerdynamic's service.
Changed my Amiron 100 fully
Changed my Amiron 100 fully, under guarantee, after I had a charging case issue. Great support from my experience
DT 900 Pro X !!!
Semi open headphones: I am not going back with closed headphones. They do sound better, legit, voice is way more natural. They leak a bit of sound from others perspective. But they do not leak for you, sound is big enough you won't hear your fingers snapping.
Besides that hearing external sounds with close headphones is annoying. With semi-open headphones it feels more natural (expected at least) while with closed it feels like hitting a can.
Mixing:
Bass: you won't need to use another monitor to check sub / bass. The bass is strong, fulfilled and refined. You can clearly hear the differences between frequencies ranging from 20Hz-400Hz. Particularly the 50Hz, 80Hz, 200Hz-400Hz.
Mids: better than the majority of headphones. You can hear the whole mid, very steady.
Highs: Exceptional, every single VSTi you had you will have to revisit them after having the 900 Pro X. The sharps very controlled and in place, not too sharpy like others said.
Frequencies: 12Khz-20Khz. You can hear those details as much as your human ears can hear.
The frequency range feels compact but there is space. You do feel the lows, mids and highs separated from each other (which is important) but they do feel nicely compacted at the same time.
Stereo image: compared to other headphones you will notice a great difference between mono / stereo, sides / mids.
The cables: do sound different from each other but I believe is because their length. Lowering the volume on these headphones had jo impact whatsoever on the sound (which I liked it) and you can appreciate different volume levels without losing the nuances of sound.
The material: solid aluminium very premium, also the plastic and earpads. The connector is very solid. The band on the top is very solid. Underneath the band, I believe you should be careful to not squeeze it to much (and do not remove the strips if you're not going to replace them)
For gaming: please tech and gamers community go elsewhere instead of commenting on headphones made for music production. Clearly you guys don't have a clue, and your comments are always followed by "I couldn't hear any difference"
The 5 stars (it was about to be 1): was because the delivery 🚚 system
The customer service: is not bad, but ignored my problems with the delivery.
The headphones 5 stars.
Customer service: 3 stars.
The delivery: 0 stars.
Refuse to honour product guarantees
I purchased some very expensive Beyerdynamic headphones recently via PMT online and they fell apart shortly after purchase. I supplied full details and photos, and I was informed that neither PMT or the manufacturer guarantee against their items falling apart. Purchasing these has left me significantly out of pocket. I did not receive an adequate explanation for why they refuse to uphold the guarantee.
The gaming headsets are expernsive but…
The gaming headsets are expensive but also bad quality. Customer service also terrible. Still happy with my DT 1990 Pro, but I don't trust this brand anymore.
I placed an order and received no order confirmation.
I placed an order and received no order confirmation via email, nor any shipping info. Order states it is complete and has been fulfilled. I have been trying to get in touch with the company and am still awaiting a reply. To be honest, it feels fraudulent.
Free BYRD: Made in China
I remembered this brand as "Made in Germany" as i also own their MMX300 headphones since many years, so i decided to give them a try on bluetooth earbuds.
I didnt do a clinical research and more or less simply expected a very thought out product at the given pricepoint of 200€, which is good amount for such tiny in-ears. I opened the package: "Made in China". Eh.. thats where it started.
The connectivity, chargingcase and sound quality are surely good, especially the calls "connected", "battery low" etc are really crisp.
BUT: Despite receiving 8 different earmolds, all share the same problem: they are too short.
The shape is probably of subjective importance, but unfortunately i don't like it, because if you want to adjust the headphones in your ear, there is a high probability of triggering a touch gesture. I am also not sure if you can use them properly while wearing a beanie.
Next point: Touch gestures are weird and cannot be customized, but only be chosen between two presets in their app. Whats logical from other earbuds: 1 tap for volume adjusting, 2 taps for pause and 3 taps for skipping the song? Ha, no: Volume gets adjusted by 2 taps while the 2nd tap needs to be held until you reached your volume of choice - this cant be properly done while riding your bike, as it is usually too shaky.
Active noise canceling can be actived via gesture, but only get disabled via app again. What?
There are probably more minor things to tell, but my other 'Fairphone Earbuds' may have inferior audio quality, but their touch gestures are much more logical, shape design is better fitting for me and the active noise cancelling can be deactivated again via gesture.
Perhaps most of the criticisms are personal, but i just didnt like them, especially given the high price for another Made in China product.
Within warranty, being told "no stock" even though they still sell the product
I am within warranty and contacted Beyerdynamic regarding a few malfunctions in the cable. It consistently disconnected with tiny cable movements and I need a replacement.
I was ignored until contacting them multiple times over and over again and was only met with a "Nah we're out of stock, good luck". Absolutely useless. I have headphones that aren't working up to par and customer service does not care.
Considering Beyerdynamics sells full headsets with cables included, they do have stock. This is nonsense.
Great Headset, High Product / Sound Quality
Bought the Custom Game headset during the COVID lockdowns for video conferencing as I wanted a product that is not made in China.
The sound quality of this headset is truly outstanding.
I am now also using it to listen to music or watch movies.
Nothing has broken yet and it seems that most parts are replacable, e.g. microphone/cable/ headset can be separated.
Ordering the product was also very easy.
I only deducted one star, because the price was quite a bit higher than competing products from Asia. However, since everybody else produces in China, where women are sterilized against their will in concentration camps, it may be worth paying a bit more for products not made in China.
I own a set of BeyerDynamic Amiron…
I own a set of BeyerDynamic Amiron Bluetooth headphones, purchased for the princely sum of £450.
Unfortunately, and very surprisingly, a most basic power off issue (where the phones turn straight back on and you have to then power them off a second time) was reported five years ago (per an audiophile forum), yet still no firmware update to fix it.
So I ask myself if I would trust my next "...high-end" purchase to a company exhibiting total indifference to known basic dysfunction of their premium product and customer complaints, or would I look elsewhere?
...You can probably guess the answer.
Amiron headphones may well exhibit stellar audio quality and comfort, but something that should be simple to fix (speaking as a hardware/firmware developer myself) somewhat exposes BeyerDynamic's indifference to product issues experienced by their high-paying customers. It certainly smacks of out-sourced firmware development.
And so disenchanted customers are left to highlight such failings on TrustPilot for the informed benefit of others - and indeed the very reason why we do so.
Terrible Customer Support Experience
Headphones are picking up on soundcard's interference and the customer support refuses to answer questions in order to resolve the situation. Stay away.

Their 500 euro headset fell apart after…
Their 500 euro headset fell apart after 1 month of gentle daily use. The very cheap plastic construction on this "made in germany" headset disintegrated and getting a replacement part is a pain. The only way I was able to was to have a guy 3d print it for me from Ebay. Beyerdyanmics wanted me to contact suppliers (who has the time for that... forms forms forms).
Amazon reviews show this issue has been happening for years. Get your **** together BD, fix your processes, this is 2023, processes from the 1990s dont work anymore.

Defective microphone, poor support response
Ordered a Fox microphone from Black Friday sale. It arrived in a non-working condition (it's detected via USB, however no input whatsoever).
Contacted Beyerdynamic support. They answer every 3-4 days (even when I answer them within 30 minutes), usually by sending the same guide (and come on, it's a USB microphone, it's not that hard to setup - I also have 2 other mics that work just fine).
They told me service department will contact me, but they haven't in two weeks.

Ordered first time from Beyer
Ordered first time from Beyer, headphones Tygr 300R B-Stock, everything was great, delivery fast, item was in perfect condition, not a single mark on it, saved 30€ for item wich is obviously new or used once and returned. Headphones as a headphones are great, using them with Sound BlasterX G6 and dac bring them to life.
They didn't send me the tracking number before I asked for it
I ordered the TEAM TYGR bundle a week ago and I had to ask for the tracking number. I finally got it today. I think that's unacceptable.

beyerdynamic will not supply replacement parts.
I have a pair of beyerdynamic headphones that need a new set of foam pads. beyerdynamic in Germany will not supply them on the basis that their "distributors" in New Zealand can supply them, but the distributors in New Zealand say they cannot source them from beyerdynamic in Germany. I would strongly recommend that, based on this terrible level of customer support, that no-one buys beyerdynamic products.
Purchased beyerdynamic Xelento Remote…
Purchased beyerdynamic Xelento Remote Tesla in-Ear Headset back in December in the UK.
First pair came direct from Germany with the box contents used box was tatty and damaged also used earbuds inside the box horrified as these are not cheap crap.
Whilst the headset is sonic excellence there are a few issues that should not happen when spending this amount on headphones £650.
Firstly the earbuds comes with a large selection unfortunately like me if you have small ears you will run into trouble trying to get a pair fitted properly.
I could only used (one) small set out of all the ones supplied.
Nearly three months on they are almost rendered useless to the point the foam is almost breaking up and cracking with only ones or twice a week use with my Astell and kern dap.
Contacted support from there Facebook page and was giving a none relevant reply to my concern regarding the earbuds not fitting properly. Also the concern that the foam is starting to break up with only little use.
These headphones are sonic excellence beautifully made sound is wonderful. My only grip would be the earbuds the only pair that fit is the small size as the rest are to big and the sound is not as good. Do you have recommendations for earbuds?
Hi Mark, use the eartips that seal your ear well and are comfy to get the best sound experience.
the other problem with theses is the wire is one of the worst I have ever encountered constantly getting twisted and getting in the way.
Not sure regarding other users in the UK of these headphones I find it a struggle to fit the the loose metal mesh of the R headset is impossible to put on I didn't expect this from £650 Beyerdynamic headphones as this is my first time using this make of headphones and will be certainly the last. This decision is down to poor after sales support and poor quality of certain aspects of these a very expensive mistake.
Would not recommend.
It would appear another buyer had similar problems relating to earbuds.

Man, I was hugely disappointed by these.
For the cost I expected to be blown away; indeed that was the pre-requisite for ordering a £700 pair of earphones. They had to be awesome, or they had to go back, that was my rule. Unfortunately, it was the latter.
With the stock non-comply tips (and I tried them all) the sound was thin and begging out for more bass. I was convinced the tips weren't agreeing with my ears as the headphones sounded like the fit just wasn't right. The comply tips were better, but they always muddy the sound for me and I in general don't like relying on using replaceable headphone tips.
The main problem after that was the fatiguing treble which would get painful at times. It wasn't sibilance just sounded really discordant. For example, I was listening to a song by The War On Drugs, and everything was okay until the solo kicked in and no joke I found myself wincing.
I was so, so disappointed. I absolutely wanted these to be knock it out of the park awesome. But they aren't for me, for my ears and for my audio preference. C'est la vie.
I own a pair of Westone W40s, and I guess I've been spoilt by those because they are a stunning set of earphones. The reality is that I likely have too high expectations at this point, which does kind of ruin the fun of it for me. There really is a law of diminishing returns for headphones once you reach a certain price point, and then it all becomes about preference.
What I *did* like was the fit - super comfy and they are tiny. The remote is kind of funky, and I liked the case as well.
